I got this instead:
https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-120mm-sds-paddle-mixi…That may work for paint but if you mix mortar or tile adhesive you are going to blow your drill and sprain your wrist…
I can verify on all points!!
@freeradical: Yep blew my chuck haha
Not ideal mid mixing
Worked a treat for me… 6months later my drill still kickin and used daily
I've used one of these for concrete and it did the job, but a purpose built mixer will be better for you and your tools.
This is not true.
Set the drill on a lower speed higher torque setting and you're fine.
Hold the drill with two hands if you need to.
If you sprain your wrist then you aren't a careful person dealing with power tools to begin with…
I've used the non SDS attachment one dozens of times mixing tile glue and grout with my battery drill with no issues.
You must have weak wrists or something because it doesn't grab and twist on you just because it's mixing a thicker substance, you get that with drilling solid materials and it grabs.
I second this.
Used this on my drill for mixing concrete in a backyard reno… worked great!!Maybe the 'double helix' design puts less torque on your wrist/arm?
Spitballing here
Would this work for compost turning, do you think?
Good for giant food?
porridge mixer
Can i mix ice cream with it?
this one or a cement mixer - for DIY concrete work
depends if you want to mix one bag or 3-4 at a time and how much your going to mix

Bought this for a home job that would have taken hours longer without it. Works fantastically, if you can wait for delivery. I will never mix by hand again.
Would this work for turning compost? I bought an auger for my Ozito Hammer Drill, but it doesn't have an SDS bit end, so I had to use a keyless chuck which kept loosening. You can't buy an auger with an SDS+ end, but you can buy an SDS+ bit like this mixer.
https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-120mm-sds-paddle-mixi…No. The base of the mixing attachment in round steel and does not sink / push into solid substances easily. It's designed so that it doesnt damage the bottom of a bucket.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Just DIY’d a full kitchen reno and this mixer was invaluable! 15+ 20kg bags and it never skipped a beat. Worth the investment if you need to mix building materials
Aldi must be selling one of these soon!
Needed this when i was diy tiling…
Now i need to find an area to tile to justify this purchase
