    • Are they any good? How do they compare to the N+ Mercedes bikes?

      • +1

Nothing wrong with them, 99 bikes are supposedly clearing them out because they no longer want to stock that brand (Multicycle). Maybe not enough local enthusiasm for dutch style commuter bikes. They are for a very different audience compared to the N+ bikes. Multicycle are a Dutch brand and the bikes are well built (look at the 'seamless' welds close up) and solid - ie. on the heavier side. They have a very upright, comfortable riding position with the swept back handlebars. Some of the models have belt drive and hubbed gearing - further adding to the comfort and appealing to a no-fuss commuter audience.

Damn. I was hoping I could get 20% off a $50,000 bike. I guess I'll have to check out the bikes costing less than $5,000 and see if I can find any semi-decent ones there… :)

    • Just buy ten…

Great price on this one: https://www.99bikes.com.au/cube22-touring-hybrid-one-500-tra…

I bought at that price last November from a store that had one in stock they needed to offload. Had not seen them drop below $4000 in the six months prior. It replaced our second car and has been a great purchase - if anyone wants any specific feedback on it let me know!

    • yep i got the kathmandu EXC and its a rippa. absolute convert to Cube bikes and their ebike range is well worth it

    • How can i install the child seat for this frame mate ? I prefer child front facing better than sit at back

      • No idea about child seats, sorry! I'm sure the staff at your local store could help with this though. Our kids ride in the front of an electric cargo bike which is also a great replacement for a car.

      • This is the best front bike seat that I have had link, seems it may have gone up a bit but the build quality is awesome and my kids love it!

I don't think the Merida's are minimum 35% since there are plenty on there that are only 25% off

  • Anyone got pedal titan for 2k9 ?
So interested for dual shocks with motor
    https://www.99bikes.com.au/pedal23-pedal-titan-black-silver

My point with e mtp is going take toddler in front child seat around park

    • I'm also interested in this bike…seems like a great price for a dual shock eMTB. Can anyone shed some light on how it compares and is it worth spending extra to purchase a better brand/specced bike? Happy to spend the money if the value is there!

  • Not a knock on OP but these are good but not great deals.

Broadly we are seeing price drops to stabilise to pre-COVID pricing and that means, so it just feels like 99Bikes are removing the exorbitant price gouging they were able to achieve previously.

As an example of what to look for in a great eBike deal: Brands like GIANT are having 50% off on even current year stock and pricing closer to the $2000 (eg Momentum Transend E+) for features that comparable 99Bikes are selling for $3000+ here. The stock available was very limited and select stores participated which is a sign you normally know it's a real deal.

Also as an aside: Sorry I don't understand how 25kg+ bikes are being seen as 'solid', they are just heavy — and 99Bikes seem to sell a lot of them. 15kg-20kg is perfectly stable and affords most folks to move them around without fear of being crushed by their bike & injured.
