Apple iPhone 13 512GB $1347 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Harvey Norman ($1279.65 Price Beat @ Officeworks)

510

Hi all,

Wife needed a new phone so we went and look for a bargain. Found that the iPhone 13 512GB is on a pretty sizable discount at HN and we were able to get OW to price match bringing it down to $1279.65.

The iPhone 12 Pro 512GB is also on sale for $1397 but we needed the extra battery life more than the tele camera.

An old phone (from 2021) at over $1300 is considered a bargain?

your answer lies in the very first word of the title 😂

The phone will last for 6 years at least. But yeah, bit of a rip.

Do you have a better deal to post for iPhone 13 512GB?

      Edit: grammar

Still using my Pixel 2XL so Apple's durability point of difference isn't anything to value imo, the other flagships looking at are the current Google flagship which is about $500 cheaper than this, or the comparable 6 model even cheaper again.

If you absolutely must stay in the Apple ecosystem (why?) then I guess you have to cough up the huge and inexplicable premium, but my point that this isn't, by my definition anyway, a bargain, remains.

I replied to your comment because this seems to be the best price at a substantial discount for people after an iPhone 13 512GB, hence it is a bargain (to me).

I was not after a new phone. Still using iphone 7 (2016). I am using iPhones because of lots of reasons
          - it suits my partner the best. She upgrades her phone and I use hers.
          - all apps and games I need works well
          - iPhones last a long time and has more resale value
          - iPhones receive updates for a very long time and quick. I used to be in Android world (Lg Viewty, Sony Z2) and waiting for an OS update was super long, and sometimes not at all

@bheart: A Google Pixel ticks all those boxes for significantly less than the comparable Apple product. Often (as with the Pixel 1&2), they are significantly better a some things, imaging for example, cloud storage another.

Considering the 1TB 14 Pro Max was $1800 this week, I’m not sure this is a good deal.
    Edit: oops it was $1900.

RRP on Apple website is $1749 which is outrageous for a year old model IMO.

  • Apple will never stop trying to rip people off.

    • +5

They will continue to because people will pay it.

      • They’d be stupid otherwise.

    • +2

They need to rip people to ripe their apple

  • Make sure you ride your dinosaur to the store for this old ass tech

I’m typing on an iPhone 7, a 2016 phone, which is decent for all my apps and games

Touch ID for the win. Still using an iPhone 8 myself.

The 13 mini 512gb at $999 in 2022 I could do. This I cannot. Or rather, am not willing to.

  • Apple is selling 10 year old trashcan Mac Pro for $6200 US lol.

      • Gerry never gets enough dog food

  • hopefully there will be a deal for iphone 13 mini.

  • Will there be another Telstra day iPhone deal in about two months?

    • Maybe, have you thought of asking someone who works at Telstra

    1TB 13 Pro for $1752 is a pretty good price as well - https://www.harveynorman.com.au/apple-iphone-13-pro-5g-1tb-g…

Considering the 13 pro is better than the 14 (same hardware, 120hz screen, better camera, brighter screen, better battery life) and it's cheaper than a 512GB iPhone 14 it's a great option for anyone wanting a lot of storage.

Keep in mind that backing up a 512gb, let alone 1tb, will require lots of room on a computer or Cloud.

    • That's why if you're a Mac user who doesn't know how to create a symbolic link to an external drive, you buy a new Macbook so you can back it up. More money for Apple.

Or just pay $52 more to get iPhone 14 128gb $1399 if you dont need the storage?

    • Pretty much the same phone but easier to repair I believe. You can repair the phone from the rear saving your screen from being cracked like previous gens
