Sorry, you're not eligible for this offer.
Otherwise would have pulled the trigger

I'd wait for shopback deal with the Westpac bonus

    • I need to get a Westpac CC, so many deals and bonuses

      • Debit card will do

        • +1

          No points though

  • Can you make multiple orders or does it cap collectively to $30 on this period?

    • +1

      $30 cap per member.

  • As someone that, in general, hates joining things and doesn't like loyalty cards, store cards etc etc…

Is cashrewards worth joining? Is it a hassle?
Because $30 off a $150 spend on booze does seem like a pretty good thing…

Only buy something with a cashback deal if you'd still be (somewhat) happy buying it without it. The discounts are great but they don't always work.

Worth the hassle though, the browser extension is pretty easy to use.

      • Agree with this. Always a chance it doesn't get tracked and you won't get the cashback

      • I mean, I'm going to be buying beer one way or another so it's probably worth a go :)

        • +1

I always buy through the app and I can’t remember when it didn’t track for CR & SB - definitely recommend

    • Yes. Joined in 2018-2019, most times I don't even bother when it's like 2%. Never use it with eBay or Amazon. About to get 100 bucks cashback from the Puma sale.

      • That's a decent haul in that time if I'm reading it right, thanks :)

        • Joined Shopback later and have about 4k lifetime cashbacks. So $10k in about 5 years by just clicking through the CR or SB sites before buying. Not much effort

I use it only for stuff that I would purchase regardless, like alcohol. I stock up when these 20% off sales coincide with specials on products I drink.

If I'm making any other sort of purchase, I usually check to see if there's a CR/SB cashback and check to see if they regularly increase the percentage - in which case, I'll hold off on the purchase until it comes around again (assuming it's not urgent).

    • I've used it alot with big-ticket items whenever the prices are uncapped and it makes the upfront cost far easier to digest.

It's not a hassle, just don't try to refund stuff or cancel subscriptions you use it with and you should be fine.

  • I can make multiple purchases correct as long as it doesn’t got over the $30 cap

    • Yes, but why would you?

(to clarify for others, the cap is per member not per order… so it applies the moment your orders go over a collective total of $150, whether that's 1 x $150 order or 150 x $1 orders)

      • I made a order and then the wife wanted more hahaha

        • +1

          I understand ;)

          • @dontpanic: Isn't the collective total $165 with GST? The GST component of $15 is ineligible for cashback at Liqourland.

            • @desperate: You are correct. I always forget it doesn't include GST.

I'd been eyeing The Shin Mizunara Malt Whisky @ $85 and almost posted it as a stand-alone deal. It's actually a clearance price (or price error) and retails at $139 at other joints.

There is a cheaper blended one at $89. Haven't tried that.

Click and collect in a few places - definitely in VIC near me in the Western 'burbs.

Having a taste now and it's nice enough. 48% abv non-chill filtered, no colours/additives etc very good deal with cash back. The tasting notes in the description are about right. A good quality starter whisky neat with a few drops of water to take the edge off the abv. Nice bottle and presentation and technically not Japanese… Just blended and bottled there.

  • Absolutely maddening checkout portal. The Liquorland website simply refused to let me select "free standard delivery", it only allowed me to select $10 express delivery.

I tried changing my cart, different browsers, switching between C&C and delivery, nothing worked. Half my cart was cleared at 11.59pm and I gave up (doubt the cashback would've tracked).

Conveniently though, the moment it ticked past midnight that free delivery option was available to select. Amazing coincidence.
