$40 off this powerbank and better than the last deal at $169.99.

Was waiting for the $129.99 sale price but last time it was this price was back in December so not sure when it would go back to that price.

Product Description:

  • Capable of 100W USB PD output over the first USB-C port. Charges high-powered workhorse laptops like the 16 inch MacBook Pro. Also capable of outputting 45W from the second USB-C port and 65W from the USB-A port at the same time for a combined maximum output of 210W.

  • 25000 mAh battery capacity can charge a 13 inch MacBook Pro 1.3 times. But still under the battery size limit imposed by the FAA, so you can bring it on the plane in carry-on luggage and use it during flights.

  • Built with five 21700 high-quality power cells for better capacity/energy density and greater charge-discharge performance than traditional 18650 battery cells. Comes with temperature, overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuit protection.

  • Supports pass-through charging and UPS

  • Awarding winning industrial design: Red Dot Winner 2021

  • Ordered thanks OP!

  • Have got this its pretty good - Charges my macbook air and Dell easily

  • Is this too overkill for travel? What's a good relatively decent sized powerbank for travelling?

    • +1

Imo just go 2 x 10,000 mah ones , don’t want them tooooo bulky unless you’re taking a back pack with you everyday.

      • +3

This is the way - 10000mah its phone size and super cheap. Unless you NEED fastcharge, just get 2 10000mah

        • I have spoken

      • Any recommendations? Ones with a higher watts?
        Can’t find anything above 45w and 10,000

        • +1

Thats the issue… most of the 10,000mah packs are limited to 22.5w.

        • +1

          100ah lithium and inverter

    • +1

Yes. I got the Baseus blade 100w for less than half this price. That one can charge usb-c laptops. 200W is for a specific use case.

    • @jr64 If you need to charge a Macbook or Windows laptop then it's not overkill it's necessary.
But if you only need to charge a tablet or phone then in my opinion it's "overkill"!
I have the older 65W version of this ZMI powerbank and it has been fantastic, it will charge my Dell XPS laptop.

  • +3

    now thats a powerbank

    • Now you’re playing with power… super power.

  • This or Cygnett edge 27k from good guys commercial? $101
    https://www.cygnett.com/collections/power-banks/products/cha…

    • Cygnett Pro 25K is more comparable to this. No passthrough on the cygnett 25K, but likely better warranty support etc. I got mine for about 120 after asking nicely on JB chat.

      • Same here I got it from JB for $109

    • +1

Dang that's pretty nice… A bit big for my needs tbh but almoat impossible to find 65w pd + wireless charger in a power bank at a decent price. Is that the price on GG commercial? I'll need to sus an account somehow…

      • Yeah a 65W PD at ~20k to 26.8k mAh (max capacity to take on an aeroplane) would be perfect. could live without the wireless charging.

  • This powerbank from Kogan is really good if you want one for $89.99:

Kogan 26800mAh 118W Powerbank with PD and QC 3.0 (Black)

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-26800-mah-powerbank-118w-…

    • This looks just like the model they recalled a while back. Do you know if theyve improved the quality? I did find it to be quite good and used it heaps before the recall.

      • It is almost identical but the recalled one was only 65W. I owned it and Kogan contacted me and asked me to throw it in the bin, send them a photo of it in the bin then they sent me a voucher. I then bought the 118W version with the voucher. My friend pulled the old powerbank out of the bin and he now uses it on his back porch to run a variety of items, he's promised me that he will never take it inside his house!!

        • Wish I’d got that email

      • It's good. I am using it since last year and is quite reliable. Supports Super fast charging 2.0 on Samsung phones with 45W charging as well.

    • I have one of these but 65W. Stopped charging after minimal use over a year or so. Always kept it max around 80% (planned to use it for years).

      Good specs but dead as.

      • They recalled 65W ones. Have you checked with them?
The one I posted above is 118W.

        • I did contact Kogan who pointed out it was long out of warranty. If I’d known about the recall I’d have pushed it.

Shame it was a good unit and the cells are not easily removable so not easy to re-use.

          • @0jay: Oh Ok. This 118W one is good so far. We have two of them and are still going good after one year.

            • @dealhunter-007: As you say it’s a diff model so you should be fine.

Wish I’d got that damn email.

does this have pps for samsung phones?

  • great power bank, my old zmi still going strong

    • Same here. I've been using my ZMI QB823 for powering my Pinecil Soldering Iron.

Also have the ZMI QB815 in my Switch Bag.

Tempted to pick this one up, but have way too many Power Banks…

  • for me it still showing $179.99 - am i doing wrong?

    • +1

You need to check the box underneath "Apply $40 Coupon"

      • thanks - ordered one

  • Dumb question but is there a way to determine how long a power bank will keep a device alive?

A steam deck for example maxes out at 15W. How long could this keep a deck alive for, assuming you were pulling 15W continually?

    • Steam Deck's battery size is 5313mAh so i think you can get 4-5 full charges out of it. How long does your Steam Deck run for?

      • Yeah, that’s not how batteries work.

This will charge a SD roughly twice.

    • +2

Specs list it at 90.75Wh, but charging isn't 100% efficient, so if you assume you only get 80% out of it that's 72.6Wh, divided by 15W gives you a bit under 5 hours.

    • +1

@SnowDragon & @Magicmannn - check out this video for power bank use with Steam Deck, and just helpful power bank info in general.

      • I checked it last night after learning that battery capacity =/= 1:1 ratio, foolish of me to think that it was easy to calculate number of charges.

        • +1

Don't feel so bad, I think the industry purposely advertise the higher mAh figures to make their products look better, knowing full well that it's completely misleading.

          • +1

@JimmyLmao: For sure, reminds me of hard drives sizes. Damn marketing…

  • +1

    100W IS impressive but 25000mAh isn’t.
The Baseus 30000mAh 65W is a much better buy for $60 ish unless you really need high power output for a brief period of time.
Many laptops will come 65w and under

    • +5

It depends what you're after. 30,000mAh is ineligible for aircrafts. 65w input is nice too for a quick turnaround.

      • Both have 65w inputs.

114wh is fine for most airlines, but you have to notify them before.

        • +1

114wh is fine for most airlines, but you have to notify them before.

The benefit of the ZMI is that it's 90.75Wh which is below the 100Wh limit that most airlines has.

    • +2

The Baseus also uses Lithium Polymer Cells, whereas this ZMI uses Lithium-Ion Cells (21700*5)

      • Is Baseus reputable and safe to use or are they dodgy like Heymix? ie. the protection circuits actually work and it likely won't spontaneously combust in-flight.

  • 179.99 now sad

    • Refresh until you see the 'Apply $40 coupon'. Expired

  • I was able to purchase it just now with 40 dollar off. Can't verify if it's still valid as I cannot see it anymore.

Bought this 100w iMuto instead https://amzn.asia/d/4rydNsb

  • Can anyone recommend a portable power bank that can power a console and small screen for at least 15 mins?

  • +2

This is way too expensive unless you really need 100w pd. Most laptops will also charge at 65w pd

  • I bought one of these from this seller before travelling internationally at the end of last year, with my teenage boys. It did a great job with fast charging multiple devices, especially on filghts/airport/etc.

Also a big thumbs up to the seller, who was really communicative and helpful with the purchase.

@Mostly Melbourne Are you guys looking to extend this deal for OzB folks :D, upset to miss this out

  • Received mine today, absolute beast of a thing. It does have pps for Samsung phones over the USBC ports. I love that it can power portable monitor and the laptop at the same time. I've got 2 other MI power banks, they are all still working after years of use, I hope this one is as reliable.

  • +1

Happy to throw mine (used) for $70 if anyone interested.
