I agree $70 RRP is not reasonable, but I believe regular price is around $45, For $20 it's still a great deal!

I think it's a pair of comfortable and durable poultry shears. It's Fiskars and made in Finland, much better than those made in China scissors that last less than 6 months, like the one I got from Myer.

Reviews are great on Amazon, 4.7/5 stars out of 1750 ratings

There is no stock in-store in Melbourne, but there is a $20 off Minimum $50 Spend code to pay for your shipping, Enjoy ;)

  • Pretty good if you're lucky and have some nearby. Just a bit too far away from me I think.

    • Amazon going to match?

      • Probably not, but one can hope I guess. Don't really need it so I'm not going to go halfway across town or pay for postage.

Some people have way too much money if they think they need $70 chicken scissor from Finland in their lives.

Fiskars products are the shit. All the stuff I have from them lasts and lasts even with the abuse I give them, especially the axe and block splitter.

    • Yep. The Fiskars maul, sledgehammer, block splitters and shears that I have are in constant use and take a hammering - and all are in great nick.

    • I have had the extension pruner for 20 years now and it's gotten some use and still works, and it's way quicker and easier than using any number of electric things that I have picked up over the years, as long as the branches aren't more than about 35mm or so

Product doesn't perform as expected. I've given these shears to like at least 2 dozen chooks, NOT ONE has a clue how to use them. I tend to find they are a little heavy for the chicken. It's really a balance issue.

Did you thaw the chickens first?

Upon a day, a deal was found,
For shears to cut and trim around,
        Fiskars brand, from Finland hails,
To snip and slice through poultry tails.

In Spotlight store, the price was low,
        Twenty dollars, quite a show,
        From seventy, the discount came,
To make all other shears look lame.

The user shared, with wit and glee,
Their tale of poultry, scissors spree,
The chooks, they tried, but failed to grasp,
The shears, too heavy, slipped their clasp.

A sonnet now, to sing their plight,
Of feathered friends in sheer delight,
To trim their wings, they could not do,
For scissors, alas, they had no clue.

"Oh Fiskars shears, so sharp and fine,
Why can't these poultry friends of mine,
Take you in wing and snip away,
        Their feathers trimmed, in disarray?"

The answer lies, not in the shears,
But in the fact, quite plain, I fear,
That chickens, chooks, and roosters too,
Have wings, not hands, like me and you.

So laugh we must, at this absurd,
Yet humorous tale that we have heard,
For in the end, it's clear to see,
'Twas not the shears, but poultry's spree.

Couldn't find it near me. Is it still a good deal for $28?
Amazon has this one for $17

Is this $20 + $8 one worth the extra?

    • Looks like generic Chinese made with a few changes to blade…might be good though…?

Thanks OP. Saw this and got one immediately.

Anyone who's ever shopped for an axe knows that Fiskars is a pretty reputable brand that produces some quality sharp tools.

There are Fiskars products made in Finland and there are Fiskars products made in China. The ones made in Finland are generally top notch.
