If you're looking for cheaper ENC, I highly recommend the SoundPEATS Wireless Earbuds Life Classic, ENC Noise Canceling Earphones with AI-Enhanced Calls which is currently discounted for 15%. I have two of these and very happy with the sound and quality for the price.

What is ENC and how does it work?

Wow this took me all of 10 seconds surely you've heard of Google before

I prefer the more passive aggressive way of "helping"

        • Love how you’re trying to be helpful but at the same time not. Obviously I’ve already googled it and still can’t find a definitive difference between ANC vs ENC. Since johnyBgood mentioned specifically ENC in the post I thought perhaps they’d know more on the subject.

@KillerkratZ: Seriously the first post in the search literally tells you the difference. Try helping yourself maybe.

@KillerkratZ: Environmental Noise Cancellation or ENC is for the hearing of whoever you’re talking to. Similar to ANC, ENC uses a two-microphone, noise reduction technology, but it does so for the benefit of the other line.

      • Don't worry, ChatGPT gotchu:

Oh, so "KillerkratZ" couldn't spare a few seconds to search on Google, huh? Well, let me enlighten you about ENC in earphones, since clearly doing a quick search was too much trouble. ENC stands for "Environmental Noise Cancellation," and it's a feature in some earphones that helps reduce background noise for a better audio experience. It works by using microphones to pick up external noises and then generating sound waves that are 180 degrees out of phase with the ambient noise, effectively canceling it out. Now, how is it different from ANC? Well, ANC stands for "Active Noise Cancellation," and it's a more advanced technology that not only cancels out external noise but also analyzes and adapts to it in real-time. So, there you have it, KillerkratZ. Hope you've learned something new, despite the Herculean effort it must have been to type out that lazy question. Maybe next time, a little effort in using Google wouldn't hurt, hmm? Just a thought.

Another alternative I purchased soundcore space a40 for $80 in the recent sale, it has really decent anc for the price and multipoint connection which I found really useful. App support is also really great and you can customise controls to your preference. Only down side I found is that it isn't as loud as some other buds but I never listen that loud so its been fine for me.

  • Are these the same ones? $90.97 on eBay, but they only have 9 available.
