Darn, I spent a hundred dollars last week. Would have been perfect if this was last weekend!

Don't forget to check CommBank Rewards - $10 cashback on $99 spend at Booktopia for me

  • +1

So this cashback is not eligible with the 10% off code Booktopia have running today? (WORLDBOOK10)

    • That is correct.

So gift cards are eligible to use as payment for Dymocks? awesome!

I know Booktopia said they will honour purchases, but I, personally, wouldn't be taking the chance on them at this stage.

Isn't that Book Depository that is closing down, or Booktopia as well?

    • +5

Are you mixing them up with Book Depository? Amazon are shutting them down from April 26.

      • ah, yes, sorry, I was mixing them up

  • Wonder if the Cashback will be invalidated by this offer (free shipping with selected item, still running) - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/756931

    • I wouldn't think so. Trying to find something worthwhile though.

  • shipping is flat rate of 10 for booktopia

  • Sweet!

Got Carcassonne - Board Game (20th Anniversary Edition) + a not totally worthless free shipping book for $83. All I can say is that the cashback better kick in…

$10 shipping from both stores kills it

  • 3 for 2 @ Dymocks, combined with $20 cashback is not a bad offer

    • +1

Only barely though. 3 for 2 is only on the top 101 list so comparing the top 3 for an example
$22.99, $19.99 and $34.99, cheapest one free, cashback of $15.81 (assuming on ex GST value) $42.17
vs Big W $12, $12 and $22 - $46 (cashback only 0.4% or about 16c on ex GST, though could knock off $2.3 if buying 5% discount gift card)

Guess you might get better value out of it depending which books but probably not a great loss if you missed it.

      • yep, I bought 3 for roughly $50 after cashback, all on the top 101 list, so average about $17 each, not a bad price for current top sellers :)
pick up in a nearby stone, saved a bit on shipping

        • Out of interest, what would have paid at Big W or Kmart (if they are available there)

  • Are ebooks eligible for cashback?

  • +3

Use booko.com to compare prices before you wade in.

    • Also Big W and Kmart since they don't get included in booko results and are often the cheapest.

      • Prices are very good usually but they both have a very limited range. Always work a bo tho.

  • Ordered last night at 11:40 pm but not tracked yet

    • Still not tracked… Did anyone else buy from booktopia and got tracked?

      • +1

Last time I ordered from Booktopia I had to send a support ticket to Cashrewards and then it was manually added to my account.

      • +1

I ordered at 11:23 pm and got the tracking confirmation at 11:36 pm.
