Hey there mates, hope you've enjoyed the 5th birthday week here at ShopBack, I had to organise an extra for the OzB fam exclusively to celebrate you guys and what you've done for ShopBack over the last year. I've pulled together a stack opportunity for the second round of eBay's flash sales for the week running today.

As always, any questions below and I'll do my best to get back to you all. Cheers!

    Stacks nicely with this challenge

    • +1

      Mine did not stack :(
      Did yours?

      • I forgot to opt in for this challenge but my other challenges for eBay did stack, and now it’s showing reward pending

      • Mine did not stacked either …

        • Actually it hadn’t when I wrote that but it has now. It’s not easy to work out but it definitely did stack in the end

  • So if it’s later today we can’t find the perks tab yet until challenge is online?

    • Oh right, I was looking for it and wondering

    • +2

Click on the Ongoing tab in Earn More —> scroll down on your past challenges and there should be a tab called OzBargain Perks

The challenge won’t go live until 12pm as stated in OP

      • I can’t find it :(. It used to be one of 4 tabs on the top now it’s only 3?

        • +3

Click on this then scroll down to find this

It’s not in there atm but I’m sure it’ll be highlighted in the Earn More tab when the challenge goes live

          • +1

@BargainsGrabber: Haha great guide, but if its empty then gotta wait until 12 anyways.

  • Has code APRL15/17 been fixed or still applied to certain categories?

  • +2

    Big W is gone
    dan Murphy is gone
    Officeworks is gone

Not sure what to $30 impulse buy 🤔

  • +1

Slightly off-topic, but was wondering if shopback's going to do another round of ebay plus any time soon since everyone who signed up with SB last year is reaching the year mark/expiry date

    • +1

I can see they are offering $20 for a year’s membership or $5 on monthly subscription. I’m not sure how that compares to last time as I didn’t take it up as I was already a member then. My membership has since lapsed so thinking of taking up this cashback.

Edit: just read the fine print, not valid for existing eBay Plus subscriber.

I have opted in for other 2 challenges on eBay (3 on 30spend and 5 on 50 spend). Will these 3 stack, even if i use an unapproved code?

    • From the post body:

eBay Challenge Bonuses can be redeemed, even if your original purchase does not earn Cashback, so can be stacked with unapproved coupon codes. If you are redeeming the Westpac Lounge Bonus on top, however, Westpac Bonus amounts are only paid on top or purchases that do earn Cashback, so best to keep that in mind as well.

      +

This Challenge can be stacked with any other Challenge on offer.

      • Yes, i know this one can be stacked, but thought maybe the others wouldn't allow for that. Luckily they do, but only this one allows for the use of unapproved codes :(

        • +3

Nah mate, sorry if it's unclear, but the way eBay is set up, if you use a unapproved code it'll track at $0 Cashback for the original Cashback on your purchase, but that $0 Cashback will be "approved" in our system anyway. Challenges just require the original Cashback to be approved, not for there to be any Cashback earned, so since eBay is set up in this way, all Challenges will work just fine when no Cashback is earned. It's just the Westpac Lounge Bonuses that are different, where Cashback must be earned for the Bonus to apply.

Let me know if that clarifies it for you, happy to help out if not.

          • @gotyourback: this is clear, thanks GYB.
I got different exp with SB support. as of unapproved code, ebay transaction was tracked as "calculating" then "rejected" after 2-3months. therefore support said it's not eligible for rewards.

however in another case I showed support your explain on ozb, then it's approved manually.

            • @test8888: If you ever have trouble, reach out to me directly, happy to fix you up myself where I can.

            • @test8888: Tempted to do this now with a $20 off from studentbean.

    T & C date is wrong

This challenge entitles you to $3 bonus Cashback when you shop at eBay Australia between 12:00pm and 11:59pm AEST on the 20th of April 2023.

    • +1

      Fixed!

      • +1

Still show on the 20th in the App.

  • Thanks.

  • Shopback doesn't accept coles mastercard anymore? Tried to add it says security issue, pls use other card

    • Did you add and remove a lot of cards this month?

      • I seem to be only allowed 3 Coles MC once a week on ShopBack. Are others getting more?

      • Hmm no. I hv 3 cards already there for months, but low in credit already. So i wanted to add $250 coles mastercard but failed.

    • This has been happening since several months ago now, also happens with Vanilla Visa. But it seems random if it'll allow you to add them or not as it sometimes allows me to add them and other times refuses. Best to add all of your cards at once when it does allow it so they're ready to go when needed.

  • I spent $30.50 ($3.5 being postage) does the postage cost count towards the challenge? As its saying I need another 0.44c for some reason :\

Edit- this was the other eBay challenge (spend $30 for $3 back)

    • +1

      Postage not included.

      • Ah bugger, though just as much.
        Cheers

  • What is everyone buying around $30? Any suggestions?

    • Something for $30

      • +1

        Brilliant, thanks!

    • +1

Got original breville filters for coffee machine
$32 at binglee minus 20% double cashback minus X2 $3 challenges so hopefully around $18 all up

  • Got one

  • Couldn't find it

    • Earn more > Ozbargain perks (in the app).

      • Thanks, got one.

  • That was hard to find but found it .

  • Thanks, got in!

  • I think on 700 something claims a few mins ago .
    Nearly gone /

  • Thanks. Completed both $30eBay for $3 cashback challenges today!

  • Any idea if it stacks with coupon codes as I can see them in SB ? APRL17/APRL15

    • +4

Hey mate, got the update from the team here about these codes. So we have been having some issues with the use of these codes meaning that some orders have tracked at 0% Cashback, and due to these issues we will unfortunately have to remove them from our website/app as a stackable code.

However, as these codes have been live on site, we will be removing them at 2pm and honouring any purchase made before 2pm that is affected by the issue and manually adding in the Cashback for the purchases that are affected by this issue come next week, meaning if you shop using these codes before 2pm AEST, you will receive the Cashback here.

Regardless, this particular challenge will still apply even if your original Cashback tracks at $0, as eBay is set up in a way to honour these purchases regardless. I've explained this a bit further up

Sorry for the trouble here mates, doing my best to forge a middle path best for you guys as well as eBay here. Let me know if you have any q's.

      • Thank you so much for the transparency GYB. Just saw this message. I’ll keep an eye as I have used this code an hour ago to take benefit of 2 challenges + 10% upsize CB.

      • ahh damn, was going to make a purchase with these codes when I got home from work. oh well another day.

  • I can't see this challenge? I have another $3 one, but it has a different date?

This challenge entitles you to $3 bonus cashback when you spend $30 or more in one or across multiple transactions (inclusive of GST, exclusive of delivery & all other fees) at eBay Australia through ShopBack between 17th of April 2023 12:00am AEST to 31st of July 2023 11:59pm AEST.

    • Are you part of the OZBPerks partnership program? There's instructions in the post if not. If you are, it should be under it's own Partnerships banner in the Earn More tab.

      • Thanks I'll check it out!

    • Yes same i got different one i think.
      Mine same, ends 31 july

  • Love the Ultra sensitive laundry powder & liquid, have had no issues with them not cleaning properly, But then again, haven't used it on heavily soiled / stained clothes.

  • Just wondering if Ebay gift card payment eligible for this offer?

    • +2

Yep, gift cards are fully stackable for Challenges like this one.

  • Is this fully claimed now? If so should expire the deal?

  • -1

I completed both Ebay $30 with $3 cashback but neither of them is shown my Shopback App for tracked.

    • Takes about a day to track from my experience

  • What if I purchase for $35, use a $5 discount code, and pay $10 with GC and the rest via PayPal. Do I qualify?

  • Spend $39.99 yesterday, nothing is tracked! When I checked on click activities, I saw Ebay plus clicked on the time I make my purchased. What's going on here? How?

    • +1

Till some reports appear here before come to a conclusion.

    • +1

Purchase tracked just now. eBay AU and eBay Plus cashback may be effective for the same tracking link.

    • Hey mate, tracking can come a short while to come through from eBay, but I'm happy to take a look at the tracking for you if you do have troubles as that click activity does seem a bit strange. Shoot me a DM with your account info and I'll be glad to take a look.

  • How do purchases made in USD work for the purpose of calculating the purchase amount? Do they get converted at some particular exchange rate?

    • They'll be converted when the purchase is reported to us when it tracks, typically this is done by eBay at the time of reporting. If you have any questions when your purchase tracks, let me know and I can take a look!

  • Does anybody know how to get my “failed” challenge investigated? I’m quite certain that I’ve fulfilled the t&c

    • Happy to take a look mate, shoot me a DM and I'll get back to you ASAP.

      • Thanks mate, I sent a DM to you yesterday. In your inbox 🙂

      • @gotyourback did you manage to get my DM?

      • I’ve sent several PM since Sunday but not heard back once..

        • +1

Had over 60 DMs in my inbox every day for over a week mate hahaha, doing my best to catch up as soon as possible.

@radicalvin Will get back to you ASAP!

    • The same thing happened to me :(
