Have been tracking flights for this period for a while and was looking like $2,200 return but this dropped in my lap and was very cheap.

Hence saving me an absolute packet for my whole family, there is cheaper flights but they have above average transit times.

  • Can't replicate this on Google Flights, do you have a link?

That MAFS person, Alyssa has a lot more than 20kg of baggage.

    • -1

I dont watch that show buy are you implying shes fat?

      • +8

        She is not fat.

Every time Alyssa enters a relationship, she brings so much baggage that even the baggage has baggage.

      • +7

no but she has a child, gosh.

  • That’s good price for BNOERS

    • Boners?

  • -4

Those prices aren’t with the airline directly. Most are dodgy third parties. You’ll get your tickets but it’ll be a nightmare if you have to contact customer service for any reason.

    • +1

It is literally with the airline.

    • Not many tickets in the $1,400's available now but I can still find a few dates on Malaysia Airlines website, not through 3rd party.

      4/Oct: MEL-LHR (25h)
      7/Nov: LHR-MEL (22h50m)

      Economy Basic (incl. 20kg baggage) = $ 1,489.52 return

remember mh370 and mh17…… either you disappear or you get shot down

It's like saying when you get in a car you either hit a tree and die, or you get hit by others and die.

Flight accidents happen, just like car accidents.

      • +2

Imagine your friend gets in two major car accidents which were avoidable. You still get in your friend's car?

        • +1

          you have a point.

I think you have to identify that the accident is avoidable in the first place

I have no interest to explain or clarify any further.

p/s: I am a regular customer of Malaysia airlines, I don't speak for them in anyway. In fact I am really happy that people like yourself continue to avoid this airline so they continue to provide competitive rates

if he's not hooning or driving recklessly, sure. Assuming he's careful and as safe as he could be, and both accidents were caused by the fault of others, i will hop into his car. the probability of him encountering another major car accident within a decade is very low.

          • +1

            @dukeGR4: can't agree more :)

would also hope that the likelihood of this airline getting into another accident is potentially lower after they had two accidents and have to strengthen their policies.. (fingers crossed because my family and I fly MAS a few times per year)

            • -1

@b0b0: yep because that's how it works with other airlines. the more accidents they have, the safer they are!

              • +1

@belongsinforums: That's quite the generalisation. Would you step onboard an Air France flight? They had severe hull losses and entirely fatal flights in the decade to 2009. Not a single deadly accident since, much like MAS since 2014. And if you're basing your decisions off past accidents, you should consider that MAS didn't have a single fatal accident between 1995 and 2014, and a Singapore Airlines jet a few minutes behind MH17 could've easily been shot down instead.

@dukeGR4: Friend of a friend said the same thing about lightning not striking twice. He got on that second flight

Ugh, enough of this stupidity already. Do we have to have these inane comments every time this airline is mentioned?

  • Looking for Paris/Amsterdam flights for September, bring on the sales.

    • Why flying? Low cost airlines are a pain, and transfers to/from airports are usually ripoffs and a waste of time. Take a train and hop on and off right in the city centre for the same price and around the same time too, and without all the airport bullshit

      • +1

Ummm pretty sure he means from here to either Paris/Amsterdam… Lol never heard of this under water train ..hehe

To your point though when we traveled through Europe we took low cost airlines everywhere ( 6-7 flights), it saved alot of time unless you have alot of time to kill. At the time it was also cheaper, not sure these days though.

      • I think they meant Paris or Amsterdam flights from Australia.

  • +2

Perfectly safe airline. No talking about accidents here please or I'll ban you

    • someone just spoke about it up there!

  • Good luck incase you want date change, refund ,cancel or modify with these agents.

    • Why would expect those things on the cheapest flight around ?!

None of those things are ever included on the cheapest fares…

  • +1

Received an email from our local travel agent for the current Malaysian Airlines sale until 10 May 2023 for travel from May to November 2023..

Didn't try to search online myself to see if those advertised airfares (+ admin fees + airport taxes) were actually obtainable but this price guide may help others in the search for cheap prices.

    • I cant see how you can get these prices, might need to go through travel agent?

    • Can you PM me your travel agents details please?
