Thanks, now that we have a dishwasher I have been meaning to get more of these to replace current random collection of plates. When they're all the same (fairly flat) profile like this, they get cleaned much better than when various differently curved ones stack up touching one another

The ikea ones are pretty close to Corelle and cost about a dollar

Nice! Are IKEA ones break resistant as well?
Had my current set of Corelle for about 25 years.

      • +2

I think they are break resistant. I remember buying mine for 69c. Bought like 15 of those about 6 years ago. Still going. Not sure how many left.

    • They may be similar…we have plenty at home but they are no where near these we have plenty of Corelle as well.

      • What's the difference?

        • +3

I have had both Corelle and ikea plates.
The corelle ones are on another level compared to the ikea ones. The Corelle ones are much lighter, also the ikea ones seem to scratch way too easy. Yet the Corelle ones seem scratch resistant!

@rsingh87: I inherited some unmarked plates that I suspect are IKEA, they are chipped and scratched now and need replacing. I own Corelle too and they are going strong, will probably just buy more Corelle. My nearest IKEA isn't terribly convenient to get to just to test handle some plates.

        • Ikea ones scratch with use. But they are used daily, treated poorly by kids. Dishwasher use etc so overall not a bad investment.

Corelle are the best plates I ever had.

    • not the best, but most ergonomical

      • +1

so the most comfortable to hold?

        • They don't have any lips on the bottom which would help if carrying hot dishes.

  • +2

We cleared all the stock. Good job boys and girls.

    I love the pasta bowls

  • Paid just under $14 for these from OfficeWorks clearance in 2020.
Still look new almost 2.5 years later.

  • When I choose 17cm plates for $20.95 they magically go down to $0.00. Do I need free butter plates…..?
If I add the 21.6cm lunch plates it costs 4.99.

It automatically takes $25 off as a promotion. Anyone else getting this?

    • I suspect it's the other items in your cart, or you have $25 credit or funds from another promotion.

      • Says - Promotion(s) Applied: -$20.95

I am a member but haven't bought anything yet and no other items in my cart. Randomly selecting other items on Amazon but not getting the discount.
Resisting the inner OzB to get something I don't need or want……but it's free!……

I think it's only you, still showing as $20.95 in my cart (Prime)

          • +1

@strawberrybug: Must be just me. Wish it did this for a google pixel instead of butter plates :D

  • Showing as in stock for me!

  • These are great. The ones i bought 7 years ago are still going strong. Had to replace 1 due to a chip but that was probably my fault for mishandling it.

  • showing as $30.96 now (and still out of stock)

    • +2

I'm seeing both sizes in stock. $20.95 and $29.99. Delivery by Friday. Maybe it depends on location. I am near Sydney. No bonus as reported by Tommohalby when added to cart.

I have a few in my van and agree they are just about indestructable. But years ago I had one break when dropped on tiles. It shattered into many tiny shards …. worse than dropping a glass.

      • Those arent the 26cm ones in the original listing.

        • +1

Ooh you are right. Only 17cm or 21.6cm are showing. The link takes me to those, and the 3 Camels link back to Amazon does as well. No 26cm visible at all. Searching, the closest I could find was an 8 plate set for $50.87.

  • +1

Don't unwittingly click buy on the original link, as they're no longer the big plates turning up there

  • Found after 2-3 years the edges start chipping and you can get tiny glass shards in your fingers.
