Log in to receive your free gift. Your gift depends on your merbership level. It is active for me now but it does say it doesn't start until tomorrow 8pm. Sometimes they stagger these things depending on your membership level. Something to note, they refer to the lower level free flashlight as a i3E OD but all the pictures show a i3E OS. I will use the i3E OS for this post. It may get changed later.

They are also currently running their free spin to win. You can actually win stuff so it doesn't hurt to just try once a day. You do have to pay for postage if you win something though so keep that in mind. Spin to win is at the bottom of this page.

Loyalty Members who had registered and purchased before 12PM 14/04/2023: Get the free i16 Olight Blue keychain light.

New Customers and Iron Members who hadn't purchased before 12PM 14/04/2023: Get the free i3E OD Green keychain light.

PS: Membership levels are defined before 12PM 14/04/2023.

Edit: Sorry for the mixup with the dates. It looks like it starts tomorrow for existing members and in 3 days for new members. The spin to win is good to go though.

Edit 2: Wish it wasn't so complicated. Maybe you need to be copper+ to have access to the light tomorrow. 3 days for new/iron members .

Says starts in 3d for me

    • Yeah, I don't know what's going on. I have different dates in different browsers. Let me see if logging out in one of the browsers changes the date again.

Edit: Ok, so when I'm logged in I get it starts from Apr 15. If I'm not logged in it starts Apr 17. Having said all that, it's already sitting in my cart. Maybe I can't actually claim it until the relevant date.

      • Yeah weird , I am a existing member. Will check again

        • What level are you? Iron doesn't count. Maybe need to change the title again. : (

          • @ozbs25: I'm iron it says. But never purchased before

            • @life is suffering: Ok. Chorong is iron but has made a purchase so it does look like you just need to have made a purchase to get access to the better light. They can't access for 3 days though. Mine is in my cart but I can access it in 1 day.

I'm so confused. My head is hurting.

    • Mine also says starts in Starts In 3 Day(s) : 02 : 41 : 06

      • Are you an existing member? If so, what level?

        • Just signed up now :)

          • @chrisie: Is the light in your cart though? I don't know if it just shows up there but you can't actually claim it until 17 April.

            • @ozbs25: Yep shows the green one in the cart .

    • At first I thought you meant 3 dimensional lol. Thought it was some kinda holographic light or something and got excited.

    Finally the Olight i1R 2 Pro (i16)

  • +4

I'm Iron with a previous purchase (the i3e freebie + shipping)

Shows the i16 Keychain Light-Olight Blue in my cart with a 3 day start time

  • Hm perun mini 2…

    • I have one and while I think it's a good light it's way overpriced even with the current discount. I tend to use my Sofirn HS10 more than my Perun 2 Mini.

  • +3

Only purchase I've made was the free I3E in a previous deal a few months ago. Currently have the i16 in my cart available in 3 days

  • Shipping kills it

    • I haven't looked into it but I was thinking the same, to me it can't be that hard to get a similar torch for $7.95 unless these of course these are good quality.

      • +2

unless these of course these are good quality.

        Yes.

        • How good?

          • +2

            @DrScavenger: Very.

Well worth the $8 shipping. Olight make good products, TorqueTestChannel on youtube has some flashlight videos, Olight do well both in output and runtime (that actually matches the advertised), and are quite durable and have a nice fit and finish in terms of machining.

My experience is about the same, I've had two i3t eos (the bigger brother of the AAA flashlight in the OP) for 2-3 years. One's been in a tool bag that gets the occasional rain and wet equipment inside, the other i've kept on a belt pouch that I use when at sea. Neither has had any issues, and they're nice and small.

I've also got an older version of the rechargeable one in the OP, it's been on my keyring in my pocket for half a year now, no issues other than the anodising rubbing off where it's been in contact with my steel key ring.

I have an account, but no purchases (I own 4 of their torches, but I must have bought them all from different sites) - iron (10pts), with i3E in the cart.

I got this and i found it good quality

We have a few now. Haven't had the chance to really use it a lot but it does seem to be pretty good. I tested it out putting the bin out and I stood out like an idiot taking a bin out with a flashing light on. 🙃

Don't know how battery works long term yet…

  • New/old customers aside, which one is the better torch overall?

    • +1

i16 for existing users is better

rechargeable, smaller, higher output on max, and it has a low-output mode.

      • +1

Only downside I can see is that it has a pretty small battery

        • +2

This is true. 23 minutes at 180 lumens on high (or 12 hours on 5 lumen low) for i16 vs 70 minutes at 90 lumens for i3e

Personally I found that high output on either one is too much for what I need most of the time anyway, so the low output mode is fantastic.

        • Yet it says it does 12hrs of light, no doubt on the lowest setting. Small battery aside, I'd be more curious about how long it holds a charge.

          • +1

@formulated: Same here. 23 minutes of high usage will probably last months, if not years if it holds its charge.

  • +2

ahh that shipping though. That 'Free' at the start of the title was very enticing though.

  • +3

FYI Its a i3e eos in OD Green, That's where the OD came from

    • First time I've heard that before. Thanks. : D

  • better than the free flashlight on your smart phone?

    • I don't always have my phone. I always have my keys on me.

    • +1

They are both a lot brighter and longer range than a phone light.

Did a similar one last time. Item never came. Data collecting

    • +3

Did you contact them and what did they say? ALL of my x4 different orders (same type of deal at different time) arrived without issue.

  • +4

I've ended up collecting several of these through the previous promos; usually I order an 18650 cell with them to make the shipping cost worthwhile. The orders have always arrived.

My I1R is the older 150 lumen micro USB version and it's fantastic; I accidently left mine in my pocket and it survived a washing machine cycle with no damage and seemingly no signs of water ingress!

    • +1

18650 out of stock atm. How convenient!

    • i've collected quite a few as well…so many in light green lol. i like that we know which colour we're going to get and it's not a random draw.

  • thanks OP

  • Thanks, got the i16 + a few other Olight accessories.

    • I've gotten so many of these over the years. One of the things I usually add if I need to pad out my basket is their lanyard. Have you ever got one? I don't know how it compares with a lot of other wrist/finger lanyards but it's better quality than a set I got off Amazon and at a comparable price.

      • Might have to pick up a lanyard next time. I just ordered a spare battery and a pouch for my other Olight Torch.

  • Ordered. Now we play the wiating game

  • Ordered here too!

  • Thes shipping used to be $5 for quite a few years, i guess they couldn't keep that price.

    • +3

It's been $7.95 for that last 2+ years for me (Sydney).

  • Thanks OPeeee. Got the gift and a blue lanyard to go with it.

  • I've gotten a "Thank you" for the last 3 days on the lucky spin lol

    • Better than the $15 coupon or whatever it is. That's just a tease. Minimum spend is $189 now. I have won things in the past so it's definitely possible.

      • I got the $15 coupon another day and 50 O coins twice.

        • The O coins are better than nothing. If you can eventually get to copper+ they do sometimes have stuff you can redeem for free. I've been accumulating stuff slowly over the years so I'm beyond copper and have gotten some useful stuff over the years.

  • Received today but lucky i was there as auspost required signature.

    • Must be some sort of record. They usually take forever to even dispatch these.

      • My previous order was shipped day after order, then 2 days delivery which is faster than expected for non express

  • Almost forgot about this - ordered my "free" i16

  • Bought something with free item then realised cashrewards has CB lol. But I used a promo code and it looks like it would be invalidated anyway

    • What promo code did you use?

      • Some new member promo codes I think
