It's cheaper if you buy viaa shopback $35 cashback

  • +2

    Good deal .. thanks OP.

If someone has got it, can you please share how long we get before we have to activate?

    • +2

I bought this when they had the same deal a month ago. The fine print on the SIM pack says:

Activate SIM within 12 months of purchase.

      • I need to renew in Dec 2023 and amaysim chat was unable to confirm this… They said best to activate asap and maybe to check with the store. Whatever that means. Has anyone found any information in their T&C's re activation limitations?

      • Thanks Chris. I need to defer until end of next month.

  • +1

If I’m already with Amaysim but on the monthly plan, can this be used to renew to this plan?

    • +3

I think with starter kits you will need to port out and in again. Not too sure but ask the amaysim live chat since I think Boost will allow it with their sims.

      • I am new to all this. How do you "port out and in again"? Instructions would be great if you don't mind.

        • +1

Find a cheapest prepaid SIM from other providers (not from Amaysim) and port out to keep the number. Use that until it expired then port back into this one.

There are many Boost deals that posted here with cashback that actually give you few dollars profit. But i think all expired.

If you can't find anything less than $5 then grab a $5 SIM from Aldi to port out.

          • @timhn: Thank you so much! Very well explained!

    • I was going to ask the same question… let me know if you find out. Cheers!

    • Any dog is better than Gerry's dog!

  • Is it available for existing customers. My Amaysim plan is going to expire soon

    • +2

A member on previous post mentioned they got an email offer couple of days before renewal date. I'm waiting for this, otherwise I'll churn.

      • +1

I was on a $99 12 month non-Woolies-special Amaysim plan and got a SMS offer saying if I replied with code they texted me, II would get $30 off the $119 renewal. SMSed a month before, then two weeks before expiry. Different code each time.

        • Good to know. I'm 30 days till the end of my 365 plan. Hopefully they'll send me a sms too

        • Hey, could you tell me which plan was this exactly, if it is $119 and you mentioned this is non-Woolies? I'd like to see the inclusions of the plan (although it may not be available now).

Also, I am fearing that amaysim might ditch the $119 Woolies plan, since the URL https://amaysim.com.au/119 no longer works. But the slightly expensive $149 URL still works: https://amaysim.com.au/149

@djoz: Found the CIS for you. Was a discounted Unlimited 60gb/$120 a year plan.

Unlimited domestic calls/sms/mms, 60gb data over 365 days, no international inclusions, databank included, $10/gb excess data.

            • +2

@bdl: Amaysim sent me a $90 renewal offer with extra 50gb (110gb) total if I renew before 30/04. I got this plan last year for my mum in that epic half price ($60) with $17.50 CR cashback deal!

Data left is still 37gb (expiring on 19/05) and $55 credit (expiring 19/06, not sure why the credit is lasting 1 month longer).

Seems like a good deal for $90. But I can't get over that epic CR deal :/

              • @CVonC: What's that $55 credit? I hope I'll get the same offer in May. Happy to stick around for that price / data

                • @ShouldIBuyIt: It was initially $60 ($5 was used during roaming). But tbh, I don't know where that $60 credit came from. The plan costed $60 so I guess it's that?

                  • @CVonC: I just got the same offer by sms now. 25% off and 50gb bonus data. Yes please!

                    • @ShouldIBuyIt: Should I or shouldn't I? Mum doesn't need the extra data tbh.

              • @CVonC: That's a great deal! Doubt we'll see that again with everyone raising prices as part of their product "enhancement"

  • Is it possible to port in from Optus for starter sims like this? (Optus -> Amaysim)

    • +2

Yeah, Recommend porting to a non Optus provider first though.

      • Why would that make sense? Hard to tell if semi-joke (because Optus and data breaches) or real advice (but no reasons provided).

        • +1

Not a joke, comments in old posts have reported issues / delays when porting to the same network. Not sure if that's still the case because you don't see those comments as much anymore.

          • @WatchNerd: They hired more monkeys on typewriters to process the ports :D

  • Do you know when do we have to activate it by?

  • Does woolies 10% off every month applies to this ?

    • Dont think so. That offer comes with Woolworth mobile specifically

      • ThaNks for replying

    • It does, according to the other amaysim deal.
As in you can use the 10% discount when purchasing this sim at Woolies, but it appears using woolies gift cards don't work

      • +1

I think he's asking if you can get 10% monthly grocery discount by purchasing this plan

  • +5

I think this deal is better. $20 more for 60GB more data.

    • Has this deal expired? I think it was for last week's catalogue.

      • +1

I still see this in Wulis today.

  • +1

only downside, no Wifi calling thats why i had to port out

    • im on amaysim and ive got vowifi

  • Hi OP, have you seen any monthly bargain plans for amasim?

  • +1

Can I use a woolies gift card to pay for this?

    • I think not. I tried to use a WW egift card to buy one of these at self checkout and it didn't work.

  • Can you use it as eSim?

    • +1

Yes, have to convert in app

    • Yes, but my experience was truly painful. I was without service for 48h and reverted back to physical sim. Woolies was done in minutes through QR code. Apparently they can't do QR code (one would think that's the easiest method)

  • -1

Does anyone know if WiFi calling supported? This is important to me because for most of the time my phone is airplane mode on.

    • +1

not sure about this plan but my current amaysim number supports vowifi

      • Thanks!

    • +1

You must do alot of flying

      • +1

Nah. I'm just WFH with WiFi and airplane mode on. Phone runs obviously longer when cellular signal turned off.

  • +1

    This or Boost?

    • +5

Boost 100%. i ported from boost to amaysim last month(Worst decision). just waiting for my plan to finish in two months. Downsides( poor coverage as compared to boost, no wifi calling, No 5G coverage, Slow 4G connection) just bad overall. i was using $200 per year plan from Boost.

    • +1

I second Batman. I switched from Boost to amaysim about 2 months ago and reception is terrible. I lose network connection when entering any shops, but its ok at home (ACT based). I dont use phone enough for it to be a deal breaker, but when 12 month plan expires ill be switching out.

  • Is this about as cheap as it gets for a 12 month plan?

  • Any 5g plan with similar price?

  • +1

    this vs Coles mobile

    They both use Optus…

Apart from the difference in international calls, any other significant differences between the two?

  • Hi,

Can anyone please recommend a good 365 day prepaid deal with heaps of data and international calls?

I don't mind paying a bit extra for data

  • +1

this is 89$ with Woolies 10% off

  • Special Price: $99 for 1 year ($20 off RRP)
Get 1000 Eday Reward Points (worth $5).
Also get the usual 100 Eday Reward Points for this purchase (worth $0.5)
Use this with a referral link for signup and get an additional $10 (and gift someone else $10 as well).

    Other Perks:
Get up to 30 GB as Birthday Bonus in the month of your birthday.
Woolies Exclusive Plan provides International Calling to 28 countries, which is not available in the usual Amaysim 60GB 1 year plan on their own website.

    • How do you use a referral link for the Woolworths in-store purchase?

      • You can purchase in-store, but when you activate the SIM, you may use a referral link from your friend or from OzBargain here by requesting it over Private Message.

Your SIM Activation should begin after you click the link provided by your friend, and both of you will get $10.

  • Hi guys, I've been with amaysim earlier but later ported out to another network.
If I port to amaysim now again, and use the Referral link, would I get the $10 credit? I have got it when I previously signed up for amaysim on this same number.
