Wonder if I can trade in the VL and get a VN with this rate? I might have to give up one of the 10 packs of smokes a day to make repayments and put the 12 kids on a alternating lunch schedule with every 6th day off… but I might just be able to manage it!

    • You feed them? I figured a couple of extra cigs would keep em going all day…

Nissan’s sister brand Renault this afternoon announced 0 per cent finance rate on the Mégane Hatch, Fluence sedan, Latitude sedan and Koleos SUV following a 2.9 per cent deal across its entire range.

Honda is currently offering 0 per cent finance on its hybrid models – the Insight and Civic small sedans and the CR-Z sports coupe – but it requires a 50 per cent deposit and the term is a maximum of two years. Honda says the deal is yet to prompt a sales boost. “These offers can take a while to filter through,” a Honda spokeswoman says.

Toyota has in the past offered 2.9 per cent finance, but is not doing so currently.

Volkswagen is offering 3.8 per cent finance on selected Passat models.

50% deposit. No wonder it's not popular.

they're not discounting the cars as much. Noone pays rrp for a holden. In fact i'd wager if you bought a SV6 or similar on this promotion, you'd actually be paying more than if you paid 10% interest

    • Thats right. You'd be better off if you can negotiate a good discount (which all dealers seem to do) and arrange your own finance rather than paying full price at their low interest rate.

      • i agreed. you can have $10,000 discount on a commodore any day of the year. please don't fall into that mouse trap(low interest rate).

        • what about Holden's smaller cars were surely they have less room to move?

  • Who makes the Captiva? Is it still a rebadged Daewoo?

  • at my local holden dealer while taking my car for its service.

I call astroturf. No real OzBargainer in history has ever had their car serviced at the dealer's.

oh come on…lots of us ozbargainers still service our vehicles at the dealership

      • Don't the dealers charge twice as much as others? And consumers protection laws stopped then holding your warranty to ransom if you went anywhere else.

  • This is great - the Holden Equipe is a great buy and has the discount built in. Surprised it hasn't been excluded.

    • The Equipe IS excluded… read the fine print.

      • That's the Cruze Equip that is excluded.

  • Oh I see it's a Special Edition. Different 17's and rear parking.. yea I'm really missing out! -_-
