Seems like a hell of a deal .

    • Hmm, sorry this'll cost two.

      • Ah man. Alright one eye is going

  • +2

inb4 my 1060ti is still doing fine

    • does it come with VGA like this one does (not)

      VGA>>

    • it was doing fine then I got 2060 and now 6700 and I am good

  • +5

    • +10

      in classified please

  • +2

Is there any other case options ?

What ssd is it if we pick 2tb

  • +7

remember guys, you have two kidneys. two…

    • +4

no one really needs two, right?

      there are also kids

      • Do they need to be your own?

        • +1

I would say yes, but I am ethical come on

        • +2

you donate 1 kidney and you're a hero.
but you try and donate 10 and they lock you away.

    • +1

You need one kidney, but, you do have other organs.

      • yeah they can have my middle finger

        • That will just get you a Riva TNT2

          • @ihfree: and I already have that

sure my middle finger is worth more than that, I offered it for a Tesla the other day, too

            • -1

@shabaka: The market for fingers is saturated unfortunately - possibly due to gang activity.

Though, if you have other body parts on offer, a man previously got a 370Z for a testicle. In this economy, that might just get you a high end gaming PC.

      • What does a heart fetch these days?

    • +1

I found out a few months ago one of my kidneys is dead. ;(

  • +32

Hey BPC team, since there is a massive blowout of the PC build times, I placed my order end of March, but won't get my PC until early May it seems (20+ business days).
I would have otherwise qualified for the GTX4000s game redemption (Redfall), but I obviously wont have my PC+GPU to activate it before the cutoff.

Can I request the Bonus Steelseries Mouse Pad instead?

  • Currently looking for a 4090 build. Should I get this or HOLD?

    • +12

Don't know that you're going to see a better deal than this. The 4090 is probably where you're going to see the least price movement since it's selling relatively well and it's supposed to be stupidly expensive unlike the rest of NVidia's 40 series. If the spec works for you the price looks pretty right.

    • Get this. This is a great deal!

    • Hold On for Life, Dear?

      • Much like the B in Benoit B. Mandelbrot stands for Benoit B. Mandelbrot, the H in HOLD stands for HOLD

    • +1

If you're okay buying this and waiting anywhere from 3-6 weeks then go for it.

  • +10

Beware that it may take up to 2 months for the stuff to come and potentially parts may even be different than what is listed.

Any chance of adding this one to the deal ?

Keen on Star Wars with cpu

    • +6

BPC isn't a participating retailer for the game. The following are.

      Australia;
      Centrecom
      Computer Alliance
      JW
      MSY
      PCByte
      PLE
      Shopping Express
      Umart

      • Not true, they sent me an email with activation instructions to redeem the game when it comes out.

  • +15

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/7ZP6GL

    $4790 total parts cost retail

    • Onya

    • +1

Becomes very tempting once you swap out the 4090 for 7900xtx

  • +3

Damn. Actually tempted. Great to see high end deals posted!

  • Is Adata a good brand? Noticed Ram and ssd is from this company but never really heard of them.

Are they cheapening out here? For this price I'd thought you get top of the line parts.

Same with FSP for the psu.. Never heard of it.

    • +4

They are to a degree. The build that Gristy posted above is probably more in line with your expectations. For this price though, something has to give. And it’s the stuff that probably matters the least (in terms of frames anyways)

  • +1

OP, so no further discounts if we want parts only?

  • +2

I would have thought that at the resolutions the 4090 is targeted at, the 7800X3D wouldnt be worth the extra cost over any other mid-high end CPU?

    • +5

You are correct. But any build with a 4090 is already well beyond all value-for-money sweet spots on the curve, far into overpriced-self-indulgent-vanity-luxury territory.

This build is more about spending 2 grand extra to bask in the imagined glow of the best performance money can buy.

It's like having a 20% off one of those 2 grand fashion handbags. It's obviously not really value for money, but if you're determined to get one, it's better than what you can otherwise get it for.

Don't be fooled into thinking it's a bargain in the value sense just cause it got upvoted, but don't tease the poor folks who've decided they "need" one too much, OzBargain is for helping them find deals too.

      • +2

haha fair enough. Some people have more dollars than sense :)

        • thats like asking why buy a ferrari if u can pay 10x less and get a car that does the same? People who have money want better stuff its part of the benefits of having money….

    • +1

The x3d fabric shines in certain settings. MSFS for one. But not every game sees the advantage.

      • +1

And even then, 5800x3d is much better choice in terms of price if all you want is to push games like factorio to its limit, it's only about 10% difference. 7800x3d is probably the buy only if you're in the physics simulation field, or you're making money off of these things.

        • It's much more than 10% where it has an impact.

  • +3

    My wife would kill me.

    • +9

Buy one for her as well

  • +4

    7900xtx deal plz?

  • +1

    Could have make it $4321

    • Or $4206.90?

  • Ryzen 7900(non-x) vs 7800X3D
    Which one is better?
I want to make low energy consumption and quite cooling system with air cooler not liquid.
My usages will be 40% game(Diablo4), 40% Web surfing, 20% documentation.

    • +1

Mine will be extremely similar! Plus some DOTA :S
Im holding out for an XTX building given the extra VRAM.
From what I've read so far, your choice is guided depending on your playing resolution. Are you playing at 4k? Go the 7900 as a basic. The 7800X3D probably wont be utilised as much and you can get the power from the 7900 i.e. videos photos etc.

    • +5

If you are only playing D4, then this system is way overkill. If you're playing other big ticket games like Cyberpunk, Hogwarts, COD, etc. then go for the 7800X3D. It is an absolute beast of a gaming chip while also being quite efficient.

      • All of those games will be bottlenecked by the gpu for a long ass time. The 7800x3d is wasted on AAA games. Just look at 1440p benchmarks and see that even 5600 gives almost comparable results, with lower 1% low, and that's it.

Gpu exist so that we don't need powerful cpus to play games. You need powerful cpus only in games that are specifically about having lots of things happening at once. Which is why they are recommended for sim games like microsoft flight sims, 40k, or factorio

    • +1

      @XCelR8 @shiny1
Thanks. I'm going to be using for the next 10 years or more once I build it.
This is my build what I planned. Some items already bought.
      https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/N89nxs
Ram is not sure non rgb or rgb…

      • Why do you have 2 entries of RAM?
I would honestly drop the 7900 and just get a 7600. But I don't know what you intend to do to push the 7900 to make it worthwhile.

        • I will buy one of them just not decide to go rgb or not.
7900 with PBO almost same as 7900x.
For gaming any other than Dia4.

    • What you need is a 5600 cause everything you do is light as hell.

  • +1

    Thanks op bought 2

  • What do people think of getting:
    * noctua d15 chromax (I think a cooler is necessary, decent enough cooling and reliable compared to asus ryuo 240 aio?)
    * extra white intake fans
    * buying another SSD to install for more space off the deals popping up here (rather than paying for the upgrade)

    • +6

This comes with an AIO already - VALKYRIE C240 Special Figure Edition. If you want a Noctua, that's up to you. It's unnecessary IMO.
White fans optional and a matter of personal preference.
Get another SSD and install it yourself instead of the upgrade options. They're terrible value on the listing.

      • the D15 from noctua competes with a 360mm AIO. the 240mm AIO will cool worse and likely sound louder.

only redeeming factor is that the 7800X3D is supposedly a very efficient CPU and may not require the best cooling like other current high TDP chips.

      • I got the Valkyrie C240 and it’s bloody loud in high RPM. I bought Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 off market so I can get a quieter one.

  • +8

Before you buy, would be worth reading the comments on this deal also posted by BPC just a couple weeks ago. Appears to be some QC and Customer service issues that they're still working through. I went ahead and still bought into that deal with full awareness of the issues and selected the send parts only option. Its now been over 5 business day and still waiting for comms on whats happening with my order so clearly their time estimates are unrealistically optimistic.

    • +2

Yep, I think people should order with the mindset that it could be upwards of a month for delivery.

I think my comment in your link sums it up decently.

An update to my build currently is I got in touch with the warranty guys at BPC who had me complete some testing, showing me memory wasn't working greatly. They have shipped out a replacement kit for me to install and test, which I am waiting to receive. If that works, I'll send the old kit back. If it doesn't, they'll want the entire PC back for testing. Will see what happens. Not really wanting to send the PC back with the new Path of Exile league starting tomorrow…

    • Unrealistically optimistic is one way to put it. I ordered 4080 build 13th of March and they have not started building it yet. With so many comments complaining about QC, I am hoping its not DOA

  • +2

    Try this:
    CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor - Centre Com/PC Case Gear $749
    Mobo - Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX DDR5 AMD AM5 WiFi 6E ATX Motherboard - Shopping Express $259
    RAM - Team T-Force Vulcan 32GB (2x16GB) 5200MHz CL40 DDR5 Black - PC Case Gear $169
    SSD - Kingston - NV2 M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 1TB, Solid State Drive - Amazon AU $79
GPU - Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 GAMING OC 24G Graphics Card - Umart $2699
Casing - NZXT H5 Flow Black ATX Mid Tower Case - MSY $139
Liquid Cooler - DeepCool LT520 240mm ARGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - AusPCMarket $159

PSU - CORSAIR RM1000e Fully Modular PSU (RTX 4000 GPU, PCIE 5.0) - Amazon AU $210

    Total $4463

    • You will find your 4090 with VGA Holder won't fit that case unless you don't want any intake fan installed in front:)

  • +2

ASRock B650M PG Riptide WiFi Micro-ATX AM5 motherboard is having issue. It takes almost a minute to boot up. Purchased two of them, returned both. Client wasn't happy at all. BIOS update, enabling fast booting, changing ram - nothing helps. It does have built-in WIFI that only helps. Better to go with Gigabyte or MSI.

    • +2

I have avoided ASrock since my very first build with a 2500k because the BIOS just never played nicely. Still managed a 5ghz overclock on that 2500k though, and the badboy is still running to this day like 11 years later, running my TrueNAS Scale 'server.' But yeah I hated that BIOS so much that I just never bought from them again. ASUS though, I love their motherboards and BIOS'

      • Same- I had an AsRock from 2011 so it lasted well, but it always had issues: can't use all the USB ports at once. Recently SATA controller failed too.

        • +1

Funny you should say that, my PC from that time too had the ASUS MOBO, and I cannot use all the USB ports at once either. And some ports failed to recognise the USB at times.

    • The build I got before had the Gigabyte one and that was DOA. When I got my PC back, they installed the ASRock B650M PG Riptide WiFi Micro-ATX AM5. On the chat they said it was better. Even though the Warranty team said no parts had changed.

Anyway, I haven't tested too much, but mine boots up in under 10 seconds using the ASRock. The WiFi is stupid fast, 2.6GB a minute on my NBN. So far, no issues, but only had the PC for 2 days.

  • +6

A little birdy told me to wait for MSY + Umart deals this coming after the weekend.
Better quality components will be used at around the same price + better cable management.
And from my dealings with them in the past, I don't believe they do things like put a mATX board in an ATX case

    • +2

      Hope so

    • Did the little birdy happen to tell you if they were doing deals on builds with the 4070ti as well? Or just a big boy like this one?

      • Looks like they have stock of 4070 Ti prebuilds using the 13th Gen i7, which is less $ than this one.
I think retail pc builders will likely pair the 7800X3D with the top end cards given the benchmarks have put this chip ahead of even the i9 in some cases.

If you're looking for this chip with a 4070Ti it might be easier to get a customized build vs prebuild.

  • -8

If I'm gonna spend $4000 for a gaming computer it's gotta be future proof for the next 50 years.

    • +2

You don't seem to be familiar with a certain Mr. Moore, are you?

      • +1

        I prefer Connery

    • if u buy a 3k phone its only going to future proof u for 5yrs lol. If ur too poor stick to the consoles.

  • But, can it run TLOU?

  • Just wondering what you gonna do with this super fast computer? I am planning to upgrade my dell 9020 with lp gtx1650, that will be sufficient for me lol

    • +2

Be able to open more than 3 Chrome tabs at at time

      /s

  • -3
  • With dispatch times for the 17th for this deal. Does it mean my order from 17th March will be dispatched before this new deal? Older orders first? Called this week and was told either this week or next before dispatch. Parts reserved 20th March. Just lots of deals lately. Great prices.

  • +1

going the 4080 downgrade. This deal still seems very good! i was wondering if techfast was going to have a crack… however BPC are just too strong! High ground

    • That is a really bad choice for value lol, the 4080 system I see in the Easter deal is $3600. There have been 4080 deals down around the $2300 mark that were much better price/performance.

      • 7800x3d is by itself a $750 cpu. That 2300 system has nothing on this.

  • Any upgrades necessary here? Seems like a pretty strong build but I’m no expert.

    • I would get a seperate AIO and not the one that comes with this. It's a loud AIO ans you are paying for RGB effects.

      • +1

Do they offer a good one in their upgrades or should I request something seperate?
