how firm are these? you never know when you need some support.
Others above have replied it's medium to medium-firm
Been using a queen size for the past 3 years or so and it's better quality than some of the expensive $1000 ones I've bought. Might have to give my kids new one. They would be medium firmness.
Think the best deal for a comfortable mattress is the ecosa ones from lifeline. When new they give the 100 day trial and if you don't like it send it to lifeline for a full refund.
These mattresses are then sold for about $100 at lifeline.
Purchased 2 of these . The covers are fully washable so have pulled these off and given them a wash each time.
They are quite firm and required a mattress topper.
For our van we purchase octasmart mattresses , these are comfortable straight out of the box with no topper required.
Do lifeline have any stores in Victoria?
Is it just luck of the draw if you find one at a Lifeline shop?
First one I found at my local lifeline( Queen sized).
Second one took a couple of dozen phone calls to find a double sized one. Usually heaps of queens in stock , especially after Christmas holidays.
what's lifeline
A charity group . There are lifeline stores as well as salves. Both sell these trialled mattresses.
I have one from Fantastic Furniture for my daughter's room - it's fine and does the job. I will buy it again if needed :)
i have a single and its amazing. not sure about other sizes though. its honestly just as good as the $2000 mattress i bought some other time in my opinion. but as i said can't say for the larger sizes.
I'll never forget the time I had to return this because it was several inches short when placed onto our bedframe at home. Walking through the front doors of Aldi with a massive mattress was beyond embarrassing.
I made aldi come and pick up mine. See my comment above. I argued that it wasn’t my problem that it no longer fits in a sedan, plus besides being shorter mind had manufacturing oil stains out of the box.
Interesting you had the same issue with it being too short. It completely put me off mattress in a box.
I then purchased a mattress in a box from eBay and it has been going strong for last 5 years. I heard Kmart ones are quite good.
I also made the mistake of buying a single mattress from ozplaza. It was very cheaply made and very light weight and managed to get them to refund me after 3yrs. As it pretty much sagged from 3 month usage by guests.
I returned one of the nonstick fry pans after 2 years use. I just wanted to see if they would give me a refund and they did. Pans have 3 years warranty for the Teflon. The checkout guy was like WTF but the manager didn't give a shit and said yep no problem. I'll never do it again and only did it as an experiment. Used the 50 bucks to buy the same aldi Teflon pan again that day. Lol
if you are after firm king size mattress and would like it delivered, ZZZ Atelier are pretty good with 1000s in sales and positive reviews. I have one and can't fault it. ebay plus discounts work with them too.

The thing with these ALDI deals is that past performance isn't an indicator of future performance as they may switch up suppliers.
I've had two box mattresses - a $200 ZZZ Atlier and a $1100 Sleep Republic.
The ZZZ Atlier is in the spare room as it wasn't suitable as a long term everyday mattress - it began to sag and gave me back trouble.
The Sleep Republic has been going strong for over a year now - no sag and no back issues. It's the best mattress I've owned (beating out a few non-box products)
Despite the price, I wouldn't bother with the ZZZ Atlier again. It's worth the extra $$$ for a better product.
Is this mattress worth getting? Is the quality and feel comfortable?
Since Aldi doesnt do delivery, does anyone have experience with delivering these if you are incapable to do it yourself e.g if you don't have a large enough car or you have an injury, is there a service that does it for you for example? I need to grab it from aldi then delivery it up one level of stairs to my apartment.
They were flying out the door this morning
Any feedback from those who got one today?
I got one this arvo, seems good, as good as IKEA $600+ ones.
Thanks for sharing, main concerns I've read from reviews are lacking of edge support and also the size runs a little smaller. Any feedback on that? Thanks again!
I bought the King size one. I can confirm the edge support are fine, it is firmer than IKEA firm, and the size is accurate.
Perfectly fit in the king size frame (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/741314)
Bought a King Single and I am very happy with it so far.
Let's see how it holds up in a year.
found the answer at bedbuyer.com.au It seems only few bed-in-box models say they work with electric/movable frames, and this one doesn't specifically say it does.
