    Is it a genuine Zyron?

    • +6

It's from their official website bro.

  • +1

I thought you did 2yr warranty on your stuff?

    • All cables, Powastone range and 30000mAh has 2 years. Powerpod series has 1 year warranty.

    • +3

Consumer law says products should last as long as a "reasonable consumer" would expect. How many of your AC chargers lying around are still working fine 5-10 years since you bought them? Probably all, or at least 90% of them are still functioning fine. Therefore the 1yr or 2yr warranty is bogus. There's no reason these chargers shouldn't last 5-10 years if not physically abused or fried by lightning. Unless of course they are made of very cheap, poor materials, which I'm sure the manufacturer would not be claiming in their marketing material.

  • Hi Rep, is this a GaN 3. It's not stated however the new 140w is Stated as a GaN 3.

    • +1

This is GaN 2 version from Power Integration Powi GaN chipset

    • Thinking to have this one, or the 140W Gan3 one

@ibelievesyd any hints on the difference?

      Thank you!

      • What devices do you have or plan to have? The chargers themselves mostly work on all devices. Only a few phone manufacturers have customer charging rates i.e. Samsung, Oppo that the charger makers need to program in.

        • Thank you!
So GaN2 is good enough for Apple products, phone, iPad and Mac air, right?

  • +3

Is this a good brand or one of the ones that will catch on fire if I look away for 5 minutes? Have no idea anymore what brands to avoid.

    • They seem good.
I've had a couple if their power banks for 15mths, the kids use them for iPad recharging. They get abused (dropping mostly) and they're still working a treat.

      I've also got a 2xusbC + 1xusbA plug which is working fine.

    • +1

YMMV but I had the 66w powerpod one that popped after a year or so. Used it mainly to charge a Macbook pro m1

      • How was warranty support?

        • +1

Didn't bother with the warranty and just chucked it since it was reaching the 1 year warranty period which turns out to be a 14-15months warranty now according to OP?

          Oh well

          • +15

@DreadedWasabi: Standard is 12 months warranty but it would be unfair if the charger fails soon after the warranty period expire. We have offered replacements in past for customers who contacted us.

            • +5

@ibelievesyd: Good on you guys for doing that! I'll keep that in mind in the future

            • @ibelievesyd: I can vouch for this as they sent me a new one after my one has a failed port around the 1.5 year mark. I have 2 others and they are going fine

      • +7

If it has failed within 14-15 months then please contact customer support via "Chat With Us" button on the website or via email [email protected]

How do these handle sharing watts ? Demand based ? Or ? Do they work properly even with a cable plugged in and nothing being charged ?

I have a 65W model (dif brand) that annoyed me with how it does it.

  • +1

I had one of these and somehow it wouldn't fast charge plugging a device the first time, after unplugging and plugging back in it would then fast charge.

  • I have a white one of these and it's been good (so far) (also great for travel if you get the extra plug adapters)

  • Any chance of xiaomi phone 120w charge support in the future?

    • Unfortunately not in the near future. We are working on latest GaN 5 range next.

  • Ordered.. not sure where to use lol.. think later

  • A++ for after sales support with these guys. Very easy solution given fast!

  • When's the white version shipping?

    • +1

Between 25th to 30th April. If you change your mind in the meantime, contact support to ship black unit instead.

      • Thanks! Ordered the black.

        • Pro's:
          Compact design.
          USB-C PD 8.8V 1.9A negotiated when charging a device.
          Indicator light isn't too bright.

          Con's:
Each port restarts to negotiate the connection when plugging in a new device.
AU adapter is a bit sharp around the edges. I sanded it down so that I don't cut my fingers when removing the AU adapter.
The 2nd and 3rd USB-C sockets are slightly misaligned or too narrow. It's a tight fit for the included cable and other cables.

Just got a new s23 ultra but need a new charger for the 45w fast charge. Am i better off grabbing something such as this opposed to buying a single port 45w power brick from samsung or anker etc?

    • +1

      That depends.

If you were on a travelling from Sydney to Melbourne on a train at 65 Kph, and you met a man with seven wives heading in the opposite direction, trying to charge seven s23 ultras, what would you car’s breath smell like?

      • +2

Would smell like money, but then there is the 7 wives so I'm afraid I'd also be drowning in debt. The way these phones are costing each year he could sell all 7 s23 ultras and maybe break even?

    • Get something that has enough capacity to charge your phone and your laptop at the same time (there is no requirement to charge the phone with 45w at all times)

  • Whats the compatibility with charging other laptop via USB C. E.g. HP, Lenovo, Dell etc.?

    • +1

The output for this charger is 100W 20V5A or 65W 20V3.25A. So it would depend on the laptop's input capability.

      • Interesting. Could it also do 45W? Just thinking compatibility with typical 13/14 inch business laptops

        • +1

Yes of course. 100/65/45/30/20 all possible via USB-C1/C2

          • @ibelievesyd: Perfect. That makes more sense. So only potential compatibility issues will be on high end performance laptops with dedicated graphics cards

            • +2

@spare13: Some high end laptops with dedicated graphics come with 130/135W AC adapter but are only capable of 65W via USB-C. So even though the charger is 100W, it can only support 65W for such devices.

  • +3

I would suggest to stay away from this seller

I got a 65W GAN charger and then a week or two later they sent me a message via Amazon saying the version i got can potentially be defective on the AU adapter which the plastic can be brittle and could cause electicc shock and asked for my address to send a replacement unit. I provided address and then a number of times to follow up. And then they go full on MIA.

I am unsure if I should keep using the charger so just put it aside.

    • It was a small batch and each and every order from that batch was contacted as a proactive measure to replace all the AU adapters with new. FYI, same factory also manufactures for Alogic, Hyper Juice, Invzi/Mopoint and many other brands that must have sold more than half a million of similar chargers.

      • +2

The point is I got contacted and then nothing happened?!

        • Please share your order number with me via pm

          • @ibelievesyd: sent

It was actually a 100W version too yet I thought it was a 65W

            • @siuol: Why the neg? It's not I am going to benefit from anything lying about whether it's a 65W or 100W. The seller can always verify the actual product is from them regardless.

              • @siuol: Did they refund you?

                • @BLAIL: not really - they sent me a replacement adaptor, which of course is totally fine.

However, it put a rather bad taste in my mouth as the OP act as just doing me a favour without trying to knowledge that was a stuff up from their side.

                  • @siuol: the stuff up as in no communication or bad batch? The OZB Rep is actually pretty quick to respond (< 24 Hours) hence why I was curious.

  • OP There isn't a specific photo (nor is it listed) but it looks like there may be a power in cable option supplied to use instead of the snap on plug. Is that correct?
    Cheers!

    • +1

      1 X EXTENSION POWER CORD, 1.5m

      That one?

      • +2

Best I invest in new glasses..
        Thanks Domingo!

  • +1

When this is used on an aussie wall socket, anyone know if this charger sits upright or upside down?

    • Upside down according to the photo. I have a similar charger with the same type of clip.

  • Also does this charger have issues charging the HP spectre x360 like your 120W powastone model?

  • Thanks, was looking for a good gan charger, finally bought this. Seems reliable.

  • Hey OP. I'm after one of these but woud also like to pick up the black eu/uk plug kit as ill be going to europe in June. Any chance you are restocking the plugs soon? I don't need the charger just yet but wanted to get it now while it's on sale.

    • I wonder if you could just buy the white plug kit? Im also headed to Europe but in may and think this would be really handy. Not sure if it matters or not having the black pod and a white plug kit.

      • I definitely could. But i'd much rather have a matching kit cause…OCD lol

        • Fair play! They're in stock now :)

    • We have added a few back in stock but may not last.

      • No free shipping anymore :( was yesterday for the powerpod.

      • Thanks have bought it 👍

  • Will this work with my s23 ultra for the 45w charge? If not I just ordered it but can I get a refund before it is shipped?

    • It’s literally in the description.

      • Yea only just noticed it haha, ah well if it charges it at 25w im fine with that. Tests have shown the 45w charge isn't drastically better anyhow. Plus I'm headed to europe soon so hopefully i can snag the international plug for it.

    • Current batch of 100W doesn't work. Only our Deskpod & Powastone works with S23 Ultra 45W

      • +1

Why does the description say it works with samsung supercharge 2.0 when you are now stating it does not?

        • +1

That's why i was also asking, bit confusing.

        • Because it works with older models like S20 Ultra, S22 Ultra. As the S23 Ultra launched recently, it supports 25W. Our next batch will be upgraded to support 45W for even S23 Ultra.

          • @ibelievesyd: I chatted with your team.

This one is not compatible with S23 Ultra.

            You've said next batch.

Is that mean if I order now, then I will get the one that support 45w and support S23 Ultra? or next batch like another 3 months?

            Another question:
Are both USB C1 and C2 able to support S23 Ultra 45w SFC2.0 at the same time?

How long to charge S23 Ultra from 0 to Full with POWASTONE 120W GAN 2 CHARGER?

            Please confirm.

Note: powastone 120 at Amazon is cheaper. So when is this on sale?

            • @surat: Next batch after 2-3 months for this charger will support 45W. Currently Deskpod 156W and Powastone 120W supports C1/C2 45W for S23 Ultra.

120W will be on sale later this month. Deskpod 156W will go on sale tomorrow.

It will take 1hr to charge from 0 to 100 for S23 Ultra with 45W.

              • -2

@ibelievesyd: When is your next sale? Which month normally? I can wait for the next batch that support S23 ultra.
Unless you accept this offer: I buy now, deliver in 3 months with S23 ultra batch but get extra 2m 100w cable :)
                Pm me if you agree

                • @surat: We'll have both Deskpod 156W and Powastone 120W on sale soon :) Each and every product in our catalogue will be on sale this month.

                  • -2

@ibelievesyd: Sorry, I'm referring to this preorder powerpod.
If I buy now, deliver 3 months later with the batch that compatible with S23 ultra plus get extra 2m 100w cable then please pm me how to proceed. Thanks

      • I’m confused. The description says it supports Samsung 45w charging, now you’re saying it doesn’t?

        • -2

This model supports 25W for S23 Ultra. Older models it can charge at 45W and 25W.

          • -1

@ibelievesyd: which older model or batch that support 45w for S23 Ultra?

            • @surat: Currently Deskpod 156W and Powastone 120W supports C1/C2 45W for S23 Ultra. Deskpod will go on sale tomorrow.

  • Also comes in white

    • +1

White powerpod is on pre order at the moment though and has an eta for end of april.

      • The giveaway was the second line in the post.

Thanks to you both for putting the fears of any sceptics to bed…

  • Are both usb c outputs USB-PD compatible?

Can each operate at different voltages independently?

    Description doesnt say

    • yes both ports support PD up to 100W individually and can operate at different voltage combinations like 65W via C1/C2 and 20W/30W via C1/C2 depending on how you pair them. C3 in 20W and C3+A is 15W max so you should connect slow charging devices like a watch + earbuds when using C3 and A together. You get fast charge from them when used alone.

  • OP, what figure 8 power cable GaN chargers / deskpods do you have coming up (if any)? cheers

    • Figure 8 GaN desktop changers are lined up for July/August. Up next are the latest GaN 5 chargers with Navitas GaNSense chipsets under R&D.

  • Is there any big differences between GaN 2 and GaN 3 chargers?

    • Would imagine it be efficiency and potentially size… but so far the sizes have not dramatically reduced especially for the those with higher wattage.

I purchased this one for travelling. Saves having so many different chargers for things. 65w doesn't really cut it anymore especially when you have multiple devices plugged in.

  • How long is this deal for?

    • Six.

    • Until end of the month or stock lasts. There will be more products added to our Birthday Bash deals every few days.

  • Anyone else get jealous that US prongs can be folded down and aussie ones can't ?

  • @ibelievesyd

I placed my order on the 2nd, and still havent recieved it. I did order the white, but it said ETA end of April, and I havent heard anything.

Any update when all the orders will be fulfilled?

    Thanks!

    • Sorry for the delay as we were moving base. All pending orders will be shipped by tomorrow.

  • +1

@ibelievesyd My charger doesn't seem to like having 2 devices plugged in at the same time on the top 2 USB-C ports (the 100W capable ports), either the first port or the second port starts to cut out and restart over and over. Tested with different cables/devices as well. Guess something's wrong with my charger?
