Ordered yesterday. Will likely never open and just sit it on a shelf…. I agree with comments above that I don't think this is particularly that limited but who knows, might get a good return on it if I sell it when I retire in mint unopened condition.
Interestingly the collectors edition of the game still hasn't sold out in Australia and can still be easily pre-ordered even though I get the impression it sold out quickly in other regions.
Hopefully the dead lithium batteries in the controllers and console don't swell/leak in the future really sux for the collectability standpoint. Probably talking 15years+ though

@BargainsGrabber: Bigw has Zelda oled preorder now. And their eBay shop will back online on 23 April. Considering Zelda oled is available to order at all retailers. I am going to cancel my pre-order and wait for a "deal". No need to rush to pay RRP at this point even it's Zelda.

Zelda edition consoles are always high demand amongst collectors and resellers.
The issue with the switch is that they ditched the really limited prints of the special/limited edition consoles. So it's unlikely it will be worth anything above rrp for many years.

I don't mind these sorts of posts as plenty of members would be hanging for product releases like this and it's a great timely heads-up when they come to market - in this case before pre-orders are filled.
Personally, I'm on the fence mainly because I'm not loving the design or colours - particularly the joycons.
I know I'm contradicting myself a little, but I'll likely hold off in the hope that a sharper deal comes along and gets me over-the-line. If the design was better, I'd snap up at this price, though.
