$240 Face Value (2x 100x $1.20) Postage Stamp Boxes for $180 + Shipping @ Perforated Stamps

130

I just got a hold of more stock today and this time it's non-vintage postage stamps i.e new stamps!

As you guys know I mostly deal with vintage stamps, stuff from 1966 onwards which make up the mystery packs. Some of you love it as it brings back nice nostalgic memories of stamps you remember growing up, others not so much due to their low denominations so you have to put 10+ stamps to make up the $1.20 on your letters.

This one is for the latter of youse. This kind of new stock does not come up often but I had a lovely gentleman supply with a sizeable alas, a limited amount of stock today.

2x 100 X $1.20 self-adhesive stamps
Suitable for postage (but not collecting)
Can be used within Australia for domestic and international postage for your cards, letters and parcels.

Shipping starts at $9.70 and goes up to $20.05 depending on weight.

I'll be releasing these in small batches so that everyone has a chance. Please do sign up to the waiting list if you miss out as more will come out in the coming days.

  • Hi Bettinna.
Do you have any suggestions about what i can do to stop lazy australia post workers from defacing my stamps with sharpies! instead of hand cancelling them with a postmark when they are missed by the messy useless white-elephant postmarking machines? Its just horriffic lately! I cant buy your beautiful stamps just to sacrifice them to the sharpie!

You can take it to your local post office and ask them to cancel it for you. If you let them know it's for philatelic purposes they'll usually take extra care :)

      • Thank you.

That will work for mail im sending. Any ideas for mail im receiving? (That i havent sent to myself)

    Hey bezwix, re:

'I just got a hold of more stock today and this time it's non-vintage postage stamps i.e. new stamps!'

I am obviously missing something here.

How is it that you can buy 'new stamps' at 3/4 the face value?!?

    • Fell out the back of a truck?

    • +2

Well she is offering a 45% face value buy rate, so there's a chunk of gross profit selling to you at 75% face value (30% gross profit). Obvs there are other labour costs etc involved but still profitable

6.8% is GST with a few overheads as well which makes a tight but fair margin.
Most stamp dealers pay around 30-40% but I try to look after buyers and sellers with a fair rate both ways.

Unfortunately, this lovely gentleman had a company that folded and Australia Post does not do refunds on stamps so he wholesales it to people like me.

  • Thanks bought 3

    • Thank you!

      • That was quick postage haha Thanks.

        • glad it arrived safely :)

Too expensive. Much better deals can be found.

If you can find boxes of $1.20 stamps below 75% I'd be impressed and I'd snatch them up if I were you, if not share it with the ozbargain community ;)

Comes up as $195.96 delivered, mind you those ShopBack and eBay offers are offered by the company not the sellers themselves. Impressive couponing though!

            @bettina44:

@HomeAlone: Having a look at it again, looks like those 50 stamps would had of been ripped out of their boxes and halved as Australia Post doesn’t do rolls of 50. That way it can be mailed flat and save on shipping. I can do that myself but I rather leave the packaging intact.

Do these guys offer tax invoice? When buying this much stamps, I would think generally it’s for business so need to be able to claim the expense

Time to rewatch this Aussie masterpiece again ☕️ 🎟 😄

    • Very funny, I have seen similar things like it go through the mail :)

    • Thanks for that! I laughed so much

  • @bettina44 Thanks for sharing. Great website. Is there any chance you'll be adding other payment options to your checkout? Like Afterpay or PayPal Pay In 4? Cheers.

Not in the foreseeable future as it would mean raising prices to account for the higher fees

      • No problem. Thanks for letting me know!

  • Great deal - just ordered a box.

    • Thank you so much

  • Hey OP, how do I request a tax invoice with my ordeR? Thanks.

    • It should come with your order, if not shoot me an email [email protected]
