So is there gonna also be another cash back for non west pac customers o,O

    • nahhhh

    • +1

      It’s Westpac Wednesdays deal.

  • Make sure to stock up on the eBay gift cards with 8% cashback

Does this still require at least $0.01 paid by a westpac card?

    • +1

      Yup

    • im a bit out of the loop on this, can you clarify how does it work?

      • +1

if you're paying with gift cards, make sure to leave at least $0.01 (or more) to be paid with a westpac card to be eligible for this promo.

        • sorry, i was referring to this: Make sure to stock up on the eBay gift cards with 8% cashback

  • Shopback should just sell out to westpac at this rate. Borderline useless for a while now unless you got westpac.

    • -3

Go get a Westpac account or you can go stay quiet in your little corner 😌

      • -1

No. It's one thing to have partner bonuses, its another when you alienate your customer base when the majority are dependant on it. Customer feedback vital, especially if they want to be in this market long term.

        • +3

What feedback have you provided and what do you want changed exactly? You're more than welcome to switch to a different cashback program if you like? It's their business and they can run it however they please and I'm sure they are aware that they can't make everybody happy but partnerships and affiliations are important for the success of any good business.

Nobody should feel entitled to anything. You can just easily get a westpac card or just find another cashback provider.

    • Australia isn't their only market. Westpac would have nothing to do with any of their other markets.

    • +1

you could just get a debit card and get a free transaction account. Not hard.

  • -1

I've been whining about these Westpac bonuses for months, and smack in the face for everyone else.

It's quite simple, start using other cashback services 👌

    • +5

Why don't you just get a Westpac debit card?

      • +1

Problem is they charge you every month for not keeping the minimum balance

        • +2

You just have to transfer $2k though it per month, not leave it in there. Monday, transfer $2k in. Tuesday transfer $2k out.

          • +2

            @rpb:

Monday, transfer $2k in. Tuesday transfer $2k out.

You don't even need to wait that long.
I transfer out literally the next minute onto my HSBC account to activate the 2% tap & pay cashback.

          • +1

@rpb: Yes, finally decide it’s worth the effort to join and even go through those monthly transfer to get these deals.

          • @rpb: Same day or instant in/out works, too.

      • +2

I'd never sign up to a bank over cashback

I use to use Shopback 3x more than others, now my Cashrewards has basically caught up 50%

Less money for Shopback, and as you can see from so many complaints it's a good way to lose money long term.

      • Too many hoops to jump through to avoid the monthly fees! A bank charging monthly account keeping fees in 2023 👎👎

    • +1

waiting patiently for topcashback deals :)

    • I'm getting the best deals i ever have.
My main bank is cba now. But i just get my pay put into westpac and I transfer it out that night. We'll worth it

  • +3

Again - good timing for me although I notice the cap is shrinking

    • Not just the cap / Last 2 was 12%+12% then 10% + !2% vs this with 15% straight and $15 cap

      • There still might be some regular cashback too, guess we find out tomorrow

    • Yes i haven't bought on some of the last ones that were lower.

    • +1

We have crossed over to the tail-end of the Westpac promo bell curve it seems.

  • +1

The partial gift card payment trick doesn’t seems to be working anymore. I bought a few items in the last week and pay the majority using eBay gift cards and left a few dollars for Westpac, however, none of them are tracked, maybe they fix it recently ?

    • Hopefully GYB confirms what is happening nowadays . Meantime hopeful Ebay Tues give a far-reaching code (which is highly unlikely).

    • Me too, westpac bonus traced, but not eBay cash back.

    • +1

Hmm, haven't had any updates about this, far as I'm aware gift cards are still fully stackable for regular Cashback, and stackable with partial payment for Westpac offers. Shoot me a message with the details here, mate, happy to take a look into your Cashback + check in with the team that nothing's changed here.

      • Hi Mate, sent you a PM with the details. Partial gift card payment trick did not work for me. I think it tracked only for partial payment. Please check and confirm.

      • thanks. have sent you a message.

      • Hi Rep,

Can I use coupon codes and still get the cashback as long as Im checking out with a Westpac card?

EDIT: Nevermind, saw your response to this same question below.

    • Absolutely correct.

  • Well this deflates the gift cards deal to 3% so far as I'm concerned.

Was looking to spend $500 or so but with the drop in the rate and cap I'm only going to spend $19.

  • How to specific the amount use on gift cards?
I thought when you tick to use gift card and the amount in gift card is larger than the purchase amount, it will automatically pay the full balance using it. And cannot use credit card.

Let me know if there is a way around this.

    Thanks.

    • You only load gift cards to leave an amount to Westpac card . No working around it . If you have loads of cards on account, you can always go to a variable Ebay Gift card sites like SB to home in to the perfect gift card usage .

    • Guess technically and someone correct me if I'm wrong, to get the full cashback and utilise one of the $100 gift cards from yesterday's sale, your cart needs to be just over $100 which should use the full gift card and have a small portion remaining to use your Westpac card for.

  • Would this be valid with the use of a coupon?

    • +1

Past ones had 1-3% with em . Tomorrow find out .

    • +2

Hey mate, today's Bonus isn't stackable with unapproved coupons, I'm afraid, Westpac Bonuses will only be paid out if the original Cashback is more and $0, and only approved coupon codes are valid for use today. Unapproved coupons will result in tracking $0 base Cashback, so Westpac Bonus won't be applied there.

      • I'm assuming eBay Plus vouchers are also 'unapproved' in this case?

        • Not approved.

I tried the other day and it will track as $0

          • @kickling: Great to know! Thanks

            • @CMichael: oh I wish I read this yesterday. Used my $5 coupon so tracked a $0 cash back. If I didn't use it would have got over $10 cash back.

      • How do you know if a code is approved? Is MEAS17?

        • +1

Hey mate, all stackable coupons are listed in the Cashback details for the merchant in our app, or their page on our website. Having a look, that code's not included currently I'm afraid! The page is updated regularly to include codes that can stack, so the info there is pretty reliable.

  • Can’t remember the last thing I bought on eBay. Amazon on the other hand gets used half a dozen times a month.

    • You never get like previous deals here around 25-30% off covering 95%+ of Items on Amazon .
If you can't find something with deals like that I'd give up the game .

    • +2

      Completely agree.
An example, the cheapest brand new Meta Quest 2 I can find on eBay is from Kogan for $709 delivered, yet it's RRP is $629 and Amazon have it for that price.
Every time I buy from eBay things take way too long to get shipped and then delivered. I've grown accustomed to 1 day delivery with Amazon.

  • $110 optimal item price purchase.

    So I guess $100 + $5 gift cards.

  • +2

    Coupon / promo codes allowed?

    • +2

      Hey mate, answered here.

  • Thanks.

  • When clicking on the eBay 15% cashback at Westpac lounge, the details page only showed 'up to 4%' cashback for eBay. Shpuld I proceed to purchase??

    • Yes . That is normal .

  • +3

Need to know if codes are allowed >.> just says can’t unless otherwise stated

    • Hey there, I've answered this one here

  • I wonder if it is the regular Shopback 4% + Westpac 15% and whether we can or cannot use codes? It would be excellent if @gotyourback could comment

    • I wouldn't be too worried with all the good items in .5 - 1% range hehe .
The code on is so important though . Can someone ping GYB pls ?

    • +3

Hey mate, just to confirm in case anyone else hasn't seen; This is indeed base of up to 4% + 15% Bonus Cashback on top, though purchases for 0% categories and unapproved coupon codes will not be eligible for Bonus Cashback here.

  • Looks like the code CARZIP is approved and thats quite a decent 15% off too

    • Can you pay partially or full with gift cards, with CARZIP code?

      • You usually can with these deals

  • Purchase items for $33.29. Lets see if it tracks. Last item purchased from Bing Lee last week didn't track when they had an increased cash back (even though the site shows I clicked through there) so had to submit a claim…..is SB starting to drop the ball?

  • Crap I forget and I need to make a supercheapauto order sigh…

  • Has the 15% been tracked for others? The regular transaction has tracked but not the westpac bonus.
