How many seconds does it stay on? I take 40 to pee

    • You can take it with you and switch it to on mode

      Just use your moms sock.

15 seconds but any movement extends it for another 15 seconds from time of motion detection.

You should be fine as long as you don’t give it any more than two shakes…

    • Just stand really still

For me, once shipping is added it's cheaper on Ebay even with the discount here.

      4 on eBay = $71.44 shipped

      4 on this deal = $64.22 shipped

This deal is better for me, thanks for the link to check though.

  • Their cs is a bit hit and miss imo.

Are there any sensor lights, any brand, that use AA batteries? I've only see them use AAA

    • Mr Beams MB726 and MB723, from Amazon. Bought a few some time back, I don't think they make them any more or price jacking

    Micro USB, yuk

    • +1

Why so? I know a lot of people say likewise about other devices with Micro USB ports, but have never been able to understand the big disadvantage compared to lightning or USB-C.

Not mainstream anymore, slower charging rate, I have usbc cables prodominatly.
        It's just the inconvenience.

Thanks for the explanation, but if that’s all it is, I’m fine with it.

I must have fifty micro-usb cables from devices over the past decade, and every second device I’ve purchased this year uses them, so I’m not too concerned over it not being mainstream enough.

The main cables I use are Basileus 4-in-1’s with 2xLighting, 1xUSB-C and 1x micro-USB. With an 18-30w charger, I don’t have a device that can’t be fully charged overnight, even when I have all 4 cable connections in use, including devices connected via micro-USB.

Charging isn't necessarily slower or faster via usb3. That comes down to device and what battery and board iare used. Nothing wrong with micro usb (for me at least) as 90% of my many many devices use it not usb3.

          • @Borg: it’s coming down how many cable types you want to keep …..with new phones now usb c would be nice if i just had to keep one cable type …

            • @garage sale: Phones hardly dictate what a cable should be. It's all the other 5v device's out there of which many are still Micro USB. I just have one of each. For phone, I don’t use either as I usewireless charging for it.

I suppose my main grip is the number people on OZB who make out that Micro USB is ancient and only because it's not USB3 and criticise the device in question. I agree that USB3 is nice as easier to connect but if a device isn't USB3 doesn't make it a crap ancient device if that makes sense i.e. look at opening comment here. "Micro USB yuk and following comments by Damonator84. Utter rubbish comments.

The cables fail a lot, the little pins get bent out of shape, and, convenience wise, they need to be put in a specific way.

USB-C and Lightning connectors can go in any way, that's the main benefit.

USB-C connectors are more robust, and USB-C ports and cables can theoretically carry video, audio, power and data… Even though they don't always have all the pins enabled, so in a way we're kinda in the same jam…

Speed is not the issue here, the connector type doesn't have anything to do with the maximum speed.

My favourite sensor light. I’ve got eight throughout the house, plus half a dozen other different Yeelight, Mijia and Xiaomi models which aren’t as good.

Rechargeable via USB, heaps of mounting options, good motion sensor and a good amount of light for stumbling down hallways or trying to hit the middle of the bowl.

Just wish it was free shipping for $80 instead of $100 spend, since I could just about justify buying another half a dozen…

    • Agree, nice soft warm light. Magnetic mount is great and switchable modes is handy.

  • Any upcoming deals on the Xiaomi Yeelight Staria Bedside Lamp Pro OP? @ozdfo

  • Yeah, that's what I found too, shipping makes it more expensive than ebay when buying only one. (19.85) vs $23.43 to Victoria

  • Anyone remember that time this went up as a deal but the OP deleted all the info because they stuffed something up, and it looked like it was a random deal on buying the moon?

    Good times

  • just bought 4 , Thanks OP!

  • It shows me the discount, but as soon as i enter my postal details, says the code has already been used?
