      Boost sim with cashback

      • +2

well that is if you get the cashback! Bought a sim via cashrewards but never got anything

        • same here :(

        • they say it can take a few months to arrive.

    • +8

Optus Flex free for 7 days if you have eSIM-capable phone.

    • +1

There's more cheaper options if you can wait for delivery.

like the $1 Lyca Sim deal

or Upsized Cashback deals on Boost Mobile with Cashrewards

    • +1

Earn a few $ extra with boost ;)

    • Or free felix trial!

    • +1

I created an account but never used the $10 coupon in time. I created another account using a new email address and it let me use the same phone number again to receive the $10 perks coupon. It overrode the phone number on the previous email account. Not sure if it works on accounts that have used the coupon previously, I'll try next time I need something.

      • This works but you essentially give up your original account's perks and you can never register for it again on that account.

    • This is OzB - why pay $5 when you can get $1 SIM from Vodafone (or cashback from Boost, if you can manage it properly)

  • +2

Updated my birthday month to April so hopefully get a $10 birthday voucher next month…🤞

    • +6

      • This one is my second JB account…🤫

Nice, another free PS4 game with a Boost SIM coming right up!

    • +1

*PS4 game you may never play.

      • No worries, trade into EB Games after a few.

  • What's worth buying for $10? Happy to go up to $20

    • +4

It's good when you use it to get free necessary goods like batteries, cable ties etc.

Other than that, $10 off something that's $20/$30 is pretty good.

    • +3

Depends what you need, but flash drives, SD cards, adaptors, and batteries are easy options. Maybe even ink for your printer?

    • pokemon cards :)

    • +1

Cheers guys, thinking getting jb hifi prepaid sim or 20W PD wall charger

      • JB Hifi has prepaid plans?? I was sceptical… But it's Telstra! Not bad!! (especially if the Boost CBs don't come through)

      • What would you use another sim card for if you got one already?

Was thinking some oral b brush heads (2 pack).
Those long mouse pads are good for $19 too.

        • +1

Data. I've found the optimal strategy is an annual prepaid plan with your lifelong number— especially Coles or Woolworths, for the 10% discount on monthly groceries — and rotate the 2nd sim with promotional monthly plans just for data. Too many a time I've had to either buy data or an entirely new plan halfway through an yearly plan. I could buy a fatter yearly plan, e.g. a $300 one for $230, but I reckon that turns out cheaper (especially with BOOST profitable cashbacks).

          • @wisdomtooth: Oh right so you put it in a small wifi dongle or something? I have wifi at home and work so never even use up the 140GB a year (also use Boost 365 Sim, on my third now;) ).

            • +1

@G-rig: My Xiaomi phone is dual-sim, and I can choose which sim I use for data and which for calls; no dongle needed. I too use Boost, as I can only get Telstra reception at my house, but am transitioning to Woolworths 365 for the 10% (Telstra light is not great for data here, but I too have NBN at home via wifi, and only really need mobile data when out on the town).

              • @wisdomtooth: Sounds good, don't think I've Pixel 7 is dual Sim, maybe esim.

              • @wisdomtooth: As long as you are aware that Woolworths uses Telstra Wholesale and Boost uses Telstra Retail. Retail’s coverage is more extensive especially in rural areas.

              • +1

@wisdomtooth: I've got a Motorola from that $200 deal jb hifi messed up couple of months ago. Brilliant and dual sim. And doing same than you. Main no with amaysim and then additional sim data slut

      • I ended up buying this for $19 since Harvey Norman sells it for $79.
Hopefully keeps my cat busy more than 5 min…

      • Not for sim:(

Coupon cannot be used to purchase: Extra Care, Foxtel services, JB Hi-Fi Mobile Plans and Services, Miele, Asko & Dell products, Pre-order products, Dell & Apple built to order products, Trading Cards, Pre-Paid Cards & Gift Cards, JB Hi-Fi Mobile Extras, Delivery Services or products sold by third party (Marketplace) sellers.

    • a few packs of MTG boosters

  • I never received mine

  • +1

Nier automata for switch is at $34 again, and combine with voucher for $24+delivery

  • Can we stack multiple coupons?

    • Literally the first line of t&c

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other coupon

Some users have had success stacking it with price match tho

      • Hahaha thanks for pointing out mate!

  • +2

Fair warning for everyone. If they catch you using more coupons than one person would normally use then they will straight up give you a lifetime ban. Speaking from experience unfortunately.

    • sorry to hear that… is this a lifetime ban from joining perks? or being a customer at JB? and did this apply to all stores?

      • From ordering anything on their website, click and collect or delivery. Their automatic sales verification system will block you from making any online orders. I walked in store and made a full price purchase since then just fine though.

        • +1

New account with different email/phone number will bypass it.

For name, just use your initials - if they query on it when you pick up in store just say there has been a lot of data leaks lately and you wish to protect your privacy.

You do not need to save an address to your account unless you want delivery order.

          • +1

@CodeXD: I did try that, when I thought I was just temporarily blocked from incorrect credit card details or something. Partial name, different email and number on a Guest chrome browser session that wasn't logged into my JB account. I was ordering a price matched item after hours so couldn't wait for the verification team to unlock my account as was suggested by live chat.

My billing address was the same and probably my public IP so its very possible they ban that as well.

The verification team later responded confirming breach of Perks Ts and Cs and they will no longer be accepting orders from me.

        • +3

I walked in store and made a full price purchase since then just fine though.

"Full price"?? You ought to be banned from this site! And ashamed of yourself!!

        • If you purchase in-store and use your voucher at the counter, I don't know how their system could stop that?

    • Did you use the same coupon more than once? Or did you use a different email to the one you received the voucher from? Because I've picked up multiple items without any problems. I just make sure to use the email I received the voucher from. It's possible to us the same voucher again but I don't want to risk it.

      • The click and collect staff noticed the same person placed multiple orders all using a voucher, I think I had 2 of my own and 2 from friends (4 different vouchers). If the fulfilment staff, either in store or online, pick up on the fact that one person (same click and collect name for example) has used an unusually large amount of coupons they flag the orders in their system and future orders using the same details are blocked and submitted to head office verification team for further review. That's the way it seemed to go down for me.

While I don't recommend it, If you're using 1 - 2 vouchers every few weeks or more then I guess there's less chance of anyone noticing.

    • good

    • -1

take that up with Consumer Affairs?

  • I have several $10 vouchers, but don't know what to buy.
    Any suggestions?
By the way, we cannot use them to buy gift cards :|

  • If you use the $10 voucher to buy something and then return it. They won't issue the refund, not even in store credits or giftcard

    • Did you check if the code is usable after a refund?

      • I did, the code was invalid after my purchase/refund

  • how long it takes for voucher to be activated? i received voucher and then trying to buy product and it says voucher can not be used yet .. what does this mean?

    • Voucher is instantly available to use, doesn't need to be activated. Make sure you're not trying to use it on excluded items

Coupon cannot be used on Telstra & Foxtel Services, Miele & Asko, Dell & Apple Built To Order, Prepaid Cards & Gift Cards, Pre-Orders, Extended Warranties & Delivery purchases.

      • This may have been changed recently. I registered a new perks account with new email, new phone number. Voucher received right away, but message popped up saying it cannot be redeemed yet, when I was trying to purchase a SD card.

      • there are technical issue as they told me but i don't think it is technical at all… how on earth same system they been using for few years stopped ? just simple BS they use based on when they want to allow people to use their code … AI probably helping them i guess.. ! … 😂

        • so item i want to purchase no longer available to purchase online or in store … lol this is nothing but big time BS by JB … in my opinion.. !!

unfortunately, i already bought the gift card so i have to buy from jb but will do it when price is right… !

  • Any way to sort all products by price from low to high?

  • FYI, you can still get the $10 coupon even if you use the same phone number as long as you sign up with a new email.

    • +1

But it blocks your previous email address from joining perks ever again. You still want an account to have perks to get the occasional perks deal.

  • +2

never received a $10 coupon even if it always say it's joined.

  • Does the $10 Perks coupon code work in a physical store purchase?

Has anyone presented it to the cashier to apply it instore with no issue?

Can’t find anything on this on their website T&C

    • Yes both online and store purchase.

This is the email I got from jb when I signed up to perks

Welcome to JB Hi-Fi Perks, CodeXD!
      Here's your $10* welcome coupon!
      Redeem online or in-store

  • can this $10 be stacked onto a price match?
