Yes $0.30 < $32, you are correct.
What kind of criminals sell chicken with breadcrumb coated for $32??
Didn’t specify but 30 schnitzels to a box, so about 1500 schnitzels left will sell fast. Expiry date I believe is 25th March 2023, not 100% sure but at least couple days, can confirm with their deli staff.
Bought 1500, great deal OP
I'll buy one off you for $0.31.
Sure, posting the 1500 schnitzels on the classified section now @ 31c per schnitzel
Ingredients
RSPCA Chicken Breast (61%), Colours (100, 160c), Thickener (1404), Salts (450, 500), Vegetable Gums (412, 415), Thickener (1442), Mineral Salts (451, 450, 452)

I can't believe my $0.30 schnitzel isn't organic
Still works out to be about $4.10/KG for actual chicken breast. Otherwise $2.50/KG for schnitzel
I guess sometimes ignorance IS NOT bliss. The following took me about 5 minutes to put together for you.
100 Curcumin, food coloring from turmeric designated by E number E100
160c - Paprika oleoresin is an oil-soluble extract from the fruits of Capsicum annuum or Capsicum frutescens, and is primarily used as a colouring and/or flavouring in food products.
1404 - Modified (oxidisied) Food Starch
450 - Disodium pyrophosphate (is a popular leavening agent found in baking powders.)
500 - Sodium carbonates, Produced from seawater or salt. Natural minerals.
1442 - Another modified starch.
Mineral Salts (451, 450, 452) - preservatives, probably the worst in the list. What you put in bold is mainly turmeric, paprika, saltwater and baking powder.
Happy for someone knowledgeable in this matter to elaborate. I'm not saying this product is the greatest, but it's certainly not harmful.
Which of these numbers worry you?
Colours
100 - Turmeric
160c - Capsicum mixed with vegetable oil.Thickeners
1404 - Oxidised starch (basically bleached starch)
1442 - Hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate, modified starch to help the chicken last in the freezerSalts
450 - Pyrophosphate (sounds a bit scary, but it's in your toothpaste)
500 - Sodium bicarbonate, aka baking sodaVegetable gums
412 - Guar gum, made from guar beans
315 - Erythorbic acid, food preserver and antioxidant, helps iron absorption in the bodyMineral salts
451 - Tripolyphosphate, basically makes the chicken absorb water to make it heavier, how you get 30c chicken schnittys
452 - Hexametaphosphate, emulsifier. Gotta stop that oil leaking out somehow.Basically some dried out vegetable starches, some salts and some colours. None at levels that would harm a human in any way, I'd be more worried about the sodium levels than anything else.
Which of these numbers worry you?
Where exactly did I mention they worried me?
So you just shared it for no reason? I guess you don't get to 100k without just posting random things.
the numbers that didn't come up in the bingo card :p
i thought it was funny, have an upvote :)
Thats awesome. Reminds me of National lampoons vacation.
Clark Griswold - "I've spent the last 15 years of my life developing newer and better food additives."These schnitzels ain't bad they go well when making chicken burgers.
Oh boy. Here we go again.
I’m so sad, I went to my local Woolies today and they’d long since been cleared out of cut price schnitzels :(
So it's a giant flat nugget ….. If you eat nuggets you'd be fine with these …..
It's more practical to call it what it is - processed, formed meat product.
When it's a small lump of formed meat, you can call it a nugget. Here it's a meat heart or half-heart, to resemble chicken breast, I think.
Calling it "a big nugget" feels kinda depreciative and not telling how little meat is in it.
beat the other woolworths store $1 ones
So $1 save $1.50 wasn't enough to clear them out and they really need to go 30c? Damn wish that was my local. Swear they had only had a few boxes to start with.
Wonder if someone had a fat fingers day and hit the wrong button when ordering.
Definitely no leftovers at my two local Woolies!Possibly. But pretty sure that particular woolworths is an online hub store so that may explain it.
Yeah it’s an online hub, we do get a lot of excess stock in fresh departments.
If you’re a local, they do higher percentage markdowns than other supermarkets for close to expiry products.. Purely because of extra stock.
Cheaper than my local pub schnitzels that sell for $32
