How does warranty or faults work with these? I'm guessing not much support?

  • Isnt this the model you can use with xbox series as well.

    • Need SN530 for that.

Great price, but you may want to remove Surface Pro 8 from the list of compatible devices in the deal description.

DOES NOT WORK IN SP8 - Some of these SSDs will crash constantly in SP8 and some will not. We tested it in our SP8 and it seems completely random; we could not tell why some worked and some did not.

    • Would be power management issues - some of these drives draw more than the slot is rated for.

    • Done, thanks for the heads up. Was just copied and pasted from a previous deal.

    • How do you clone the SSD in the surface of you are upgrading?

      Is there an easy guide?

  • Going by the read write speeds listed in the ad, wouldnt the 1tb be faster and use less power (vs the 2tb) ?
I was gonna get one for my Steam Deck.

I put one in my steam deck and it's great. Very fast and it's half full already. Glad I didn't go with the 1TB.

  • Can I clone my current ssd on my steam deck and just transfer over to new one or do I have to reinstall everything ?

    • You can image the old one onto the new one and keep everything. I read somewhere that you can use an external enclosure for the new drive and do it directly from the steam deck but I haven't tried it.

    • Yes.

Don’t spend all the effort and time remaining a new drive.

Use clonezilla, and clone to the new drive, been tried and tested by lots of people with no issues.

  • hmm.. Very tempting to max out my GPD Win 2 Max's 2230 slot. Though I think it is ok at the moment since I've got a 512GB one in there for the boot drive. Definitely not a bad price for a 2TB 2230.

  • Nice, recently bought the 1TB one from same seller to go with the steam deck I'm re-shipping from US while it has 10% discount.

    • What did it cost you all up and who are you going through to get it shipped here?

      • +1

I used reship.com. All up $620aud with cheapest shipping option. (+$140 for new 1tb ssd)

  • is there a 512gb version??

2TB is overkill for Surface Pro

  • Also compatible with Lenovo X1 Nano.
