Looks to be the cheapest price for this phone controller I've seen before by far. I've got the Bluetooth version and really like it, Type-C is definitely great to really nut out that latency and also don't need to worry about charging it.

Couple the spend and save plus the coupon code to get this price.

AUD price based on what is shown when checking out in AUD.

My quick review on the Bluetooth version.

  • What's the game compatibility like with these?

    • +1

I believe the app itself also allows you to map all the button to reflect on screen mapping.

So games such as genshin should work even while it doesn't have controller compatibility, the gamesir with use of the app allows it to function as a controller through mapping.

If you want to emulate switch games, one emulator is tied to this this brand of controller as long as you have an sd865+ phone.

      • Can't speak for this device specifically but I've tried Genshin on a Razer Kishi v2 with touch remapping and it's an absolutely miserable experience. Would not recommend at all.

        • Have you settled on a good controller + app combo?

          • @Radiskull: The Kishi v2 is great for games with native support but after trying Genshin I'm not going to bother trying the touch remapping in any other game. I've ordered one of these as well since I'm playing on a Fold4 and the USB port on the right is a better fit so next time a deal comes up I'll be able to provide an opinion on both :)

  • Have a pixel 7 would love to understand what games are compatable and where I get them

    • All emulators for one, also Xbox gamepass (cloud streaming).

You'll have to go into each game's store page and check if it's compatible, but the Gamesir app lets you map buttons and the the control sticks to on-screen buttons for games that don't support it (like Genshin).

      • Where do I get emulators appears real confusing? Or any good tutorials how to go about it.

        • Just on the play store like any other app, you can check this article for a list of the good ones: https://retrododo.com/best-android-emulators/

After you download the emulators, just get your ROMs and put them in a folder on your phone, there'll usually be an "add directory" button in the emulator and then you just point it to that folder, then you can play.

Better to get the pro, especially if you want analogy triggers.

Looking to get one for s23 Ultra

  • The code seems to work on other orders also.

I have this for my Galaxy Z Fold 4 and it's amazing.

No need to keep the controller charged ready for when you want to play and because the USB-C is on the left it works with the Fold nicely.
Open up the controller, slide in the Fold, close controller, then unfold the phone so the screen extends above the controller.
I'm currently playing Super Mario World 2 with Snex9x EX and it's just amazing.

Other USB-C controllers I have seen have the USB-C on the right and when you open the Fold with those the screen comes down below the controller which isn't good at all.

Only issue I have with this controller is the action buttons being right above the right joystick.
My thumb hits the joystick when playing so what I did was use a rubber band to keep that joystick down and to the left constantly.
Works a treat while I am playing games with only 1 joystick or only using the d-pad for movement.

I love this controller and if you have a Galxay Z Fold I highly recommend!

    • Thanks for sharing. I have the Fold 4 and was contemplating this. But then again I'm too time poor so it'll either complete suck away my time, which is bad, or get chucked in the drawer and wasted

      • Yeah that's always the problem with nice gadgets like these.
I have an hour trip on public transport to and from work each day so it's perfect for me to play through some old classic games.

    • Try the mod version with Wide-screen support, just did it for Mario and Super Metroid. Quite incredible.

I used a Fold 2 ages ago with 3DS emulation too, was incredible.

        I used a Fold 2 ages ago

Not using it now? Still lovin' my Fold 2.

Was looking at the Glap and the Gamesir and this is a great find indeed.

Not sure if I should get one now since it's already out of my system.

        • S23 ultra now. Was using the GLAP

          • @scuderiarmani: After using a Fold phone, don't think I can ever go back to using a brick phone. How was the Glap?

            • @pacificstorm: I could, easily. The outer screen cracked, never have cracked a phone screen before, cases for Folds are awkward.

GLAP was OK, but I prefer pass through.

              • @scuderiarmani: The Fold really works great as a work phone. The wider screen is awesome with the likes of Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. It's a lifesaver that way.

                Wanna sell the Glap?

  • Guessing no chance of fitting a s22 ultra with a heft case? (Unicorn beetle)

    • +1

For the case, where the USB-C port is you wouldn't want any more than 1 to 2 mm extra depth.
I am using the official slim standing cover with my Fold and it only just makes connection after squeezing the controller against the phone with a fair bit of force.
Not much play in the rubber bumpers/cushions on the controller.

      • Cheers. Sounds like it's not for me then.

  • Work great but you have to lose phone case and wife is not fond of loud clicking in bed. Charging while using is hit and miss 2 of the 3 phones have issues charging while in adaptor.

  • Ordered the Gamesir X2 Pro from same seller, SZ Game Store on AliExpress 31st March, arrived 12th April.

Received the Gamesir X2 Pro and wow, was very impressed by the ergonomics, form and looks. Everything was going great playing UNDECEMBER until I noticed my left stick had a small amount of deadzone. So what did I do? I began to calibrate with the instructions from the manual. As soon as I finished calibrating, the left trigger stopped working. So I tried calibrating again, then I lost the right trigger. Captured a video showcasing the shenanigans here, https://youtu.be/axq-exsvHOk

    Phone: Samsung S21FE

Here's what I have tried, with guidance from the manual and a couple of other threads:

    1. Calibrated as manual (slowly pressing triggers) - with GameSir app and without, with phone plugged in and without (powered by pass-thru usb-c )

    2. Mapped RT to back button and start calibrating holding back button and select, tried again with other back button, and tried again with LT trigger instead

    3. Used another phone (Pixel 3) and tried the above steps

    4. Reinstalled all firmwares 129.24, 129.23, 129.22 and tried above steps

There are 4 other cases on Reddit, so it most likely is a faulty batch of units. Funny thing is that the LT still works to initiate calibration (SEL+LT).

I have requested a refund, but am curious if anyone has had success with fixing this problem.
