Reached out to the rep from TopCashback AU again to enquire about some promos and as always, they provided this amazing promotional deal - a much bigger bonus than few days ago! Thank you!

At least all of my transactions so far with TopCashback has tracked, and relatively fast too, so very happy so far with the service.

Enjoy :)

  • So the referrer gets $30. Does the referred party also get something with the referral?

      Access to this promo.

    • +1

Not at the moment, but for now $10 on $10 spend is to good to resist signing up

      • +11

$10 on $10 spend is to good to resist signing up

Both Shopback and Cashrewards have $20 signup bonus regularly (often as much as $40). Cheddar has $70 signup bonus.

How can you say $10 bonus on $10 spend is to good to resist a new signup ?

        • In Dec last year, I signed up with ShopBack for $10 bonus and Cheddar for $25. Must have missed the $20 and $70 sign up bonuses.
Got $20 for signing up with Cashrewards a few months earlier.

          • +1

@trixieb: They had a $50 bonus on signup and an extra $20 or $25 bonus for some minimal spend.

      • -5

        $10 is garbage
        I got like $75 for Cheddar 🤣

How poor are you, sorry 🤐

  • I'm reading their eBay page, it appears coupons and auctions/best offers are fine?

    • Haha same idea

    • No coupons allowed

      • Rep commented previously codes for eBay were ok

        • Different (and expired) promo, though? eBay was set at 3% cashback after that deal, but then they changed it just the other day to 1% with only vehicle parts and accessories, and house and garden at 3%, so I wouldn't have any confidence that coupon codes will still be honoured.

          • @Jeffie: Yeah we’ll have to get @TopCashback AU Rep to clarify whether that was a one-off or continuing as then there really should be a disclaimer on the cashback page, not the overall site T&Cs I feel

            • @Chickenleg: It's Sunday and late in the day now; probably gonna have to play it safe.

    • +2

Rep has confirmed that all ebay codes are eligible

      • +1

Awesome, thanks! Glad I held off.

  • Any rules with eBay such as no giftcards/coupons?

    • +3

      in the T&C..

      1. Voucher codes
11.1 Where a voucher code (also known as a discount code or coupon code) is advertised on our Site, we give no guarantee that it is valid and we shall not be held liable in any way whatsoever if a voucher code fails to apply a discount. Furthermore, you acknowledge that use of a voucher code from our Site in conjunction with a Cashback offer may result in you failing to receive Cashback in accordance with the terms of the offer as stipulated on the Site from time to time.
    • +1

11.2 You acknowledge that voucher codes not obtained from our Site but used in conjunction with a Cashback offer may result in your Cashback not being awarded.

    • +2

@King Tightarse Rep has confirmed that all ebay codes are eligible

  • +3

Your purchase amount should be $10 or more, this is the purchase amount reported back to TopCashback. Some merchants may not include delivery charges or GST

So does that mean for Topcashback, the amount of purchase needs to be $10 or more excluding GST? With Shopback, even when the merchant excludes GST in their reporting to Shopback, the GST will be added back and taken into consideration for the cashback eligibility.

    • +1

That is totally depending on the merchant I believe. Some reports incl. GST, some excludes it. I guess safest is to have it over $10 by 10%.

      • +1

        Hmm ok then thanks

      • +1

Technically safest is to have it over by 11.12%. If they don’t count GST then $10 plus 10% will still leave you 10 cents short.

        • +3

GST is 1/11 of the final sale price, not 10%. So $11 in this case should be fine (GST of $1)

          • @Wyn-Ryder: You’re 100% right. That’s what I get for trying to do maths pre coffee.

    • +4

I can confirm that Chemist Warehouse did not include gst with the previous $15 cashback offer

  • When it says 'You are eligible for a Cashback Bonus for a maximum of 1 individual purchase'

Does this mean we can only buy one individual item or multiple items via one-time payment?

    • +1

That clause just means that you can only get one $10 bonus maximum for any one transaction (given the transaction amount is reported >$10 by the merchant)

You can make multiple transactions and if any one of them is over $10 you get the bonus as per the rep’s comments:

at least one 1 of the purchases needs to be more than $10 to get the bonus

You can have as many items as you want in your transaction

  • -3

Is it worth signing up? Alot of negs and bad experiences with topcashback from previous deals….

    • +5

no issues for me in the past

    • +2

I’ve made 6 transactions so far, all of them tracked relatively quick.

    • +1

Made 1 transaction so far and it didn't track. Could've just been unlucky though so will give it another go. Might as well sign up and see :)

      • +1

Try to contact them to help you track your original purchase

      • +1

Made a purchase via this offer and tracked quickly so not too bad at all

  • +2

That's a really good deal. Hopefully they honour cashbacks without an issue.

  • Has anyone been using their website on a desktop? All working well?

    • +1

Only used the desktop and tracked

    • +2

I use the mobile website via safari. tracks everytime

also tried desktop and tracked too

  • I am waiting for a $30 sign-up bonus or referral or so …

  • "10% off your order today"

Would this type of menulog discount invalidate the cashback? Menulog applies it automatically and I can't remove it.

    • +3

In my experience, this doesn't cause any issue with cashback getting approved (from other providers).

  • +2

Cashrewards is Australian owned with 1% of equity going to Starlight Foundation charity.
    Shopback Singapore
    Cheddar Commonwealth Bank
    Topcashback English

    My thinking is
    1. What have the English ever done for us?
    2. Cheddar… Comm bank taking kids money for years… no thanks
    3. Shopback… we’ll someone has to keep the bastards honest.
    4. Cashrewards the winner.

  • +2

I'm losing track, but I've seen 2 new players.

I'll wait for a big sign up bonus, no point yet.

  • +4

My $15 Chemist Warehouse offer never tracked with Topcashback. I’m going to stick with SB and CR who seem to be able to track properly.

    • +1

@bargainbro I joined CR and SB a few months ago.
CR seems to be the most reliable with tracking.
SB doesn't always track eg with 2 of my Chemist Warehouse purchases.
However SB tracks instantly for discounted gift cards.
Luckily my first purchase with TopCashback ($15 Chemist Warehouse) tracked.

    • +2

I made 4 chemist warehouse purchases so far over different days, all of them tracked around an hour

      • I made two at different times, one tracked one didn’t so luck of the draw as no logic why the second didn’t. Same with SB & CR, most track but on occasion one doesn’t.

All good though as one can submit a query/claim where needed.

        • Aww no, hope you can get that fixed up. I use the mobile broswer on iPhone safari and it tracks everytime. I try to avoid PC as my Chrome has way too many extensions, but it still tracked on PC last I tried

  • +2

would be willing to give them a go if they had a better referral incentive

    • +5

Give it a go for 3 reasons.
      * $10 cashback.
      * Use the referral link below OP so that one of your OZB buddies here gets $30.
      * Once signed up, you can then add your own referral link to OZB to be in with multiple chances of gaining $30 as per above point. :-)

      • Caveat to my second point above. One of the T's&C's on this deal notes: Tell-A-Friend, Sign Up bonuses and Free Cashback merchants transactions will not count as one of your purchases towards the Cashback Bonus.

I read that as meaning: That the $30 referral won't pay out to the referrer against this specific $10 CB which is fair enough. One would have to wait until the person referred spends another $10+ on another unrelated transaction/deal. Not a issue and just noting.

        • "One would have to wait until the person referred spends another $10+"
Nope. referrer gets $30 once the referee earns $10, which could take spending 2-$300, on regular cashbacks (of 3-5% for example)
I am glad you raised the first point though "Tell-A-Friend, Sign Up bonuses and Free Cashback merchants transactions will not count as one of your purchases towards the Cashback Bonus" - I found this a little unclear. I wonder if future "$5/10 back -on-$5/10 spends will also not count towards referrer conditions…

      • +1

Yeah, I still think it’s a decent and easy way to get a couple bucks while making a random ozbargainer happy, but I’m just aware of the many times I’ve jumped onto a service too soon and missed later really good referral programs - also very odd to see a referral program that doesn’t benefit the person signing up at all, only the referrer?

  • +1

    Any new user bonus?

  • +1

    No Amazon on TopCashback?

    • Doesn't seem to be. I'm going to buy something from eBay. Shipping always kills these sorts of cashback offers. Amazon or eBay with eBay Plus seem like the best sites to find something quickly to use the offer on.

    • +1

      🔜 🤭🫣

      • +1

Nice. Can't wait to have another option. 😀

  • does using giftcard on ebay, invalidate the purchase?

  • So to get the $10 bonus you HAVE to make an eligible transaction in another store? Like if you break a menulog policy but spent $70 and that doesnt get approved, you get nothing?

    • +1

In "another" store? Not sure what you are asking as it says $10+ Spend at Any Store.
Break Policy = well of course one would get nothing if you do not meets Ts&Cs..

      • a store **
just wondering cause i wanted to get some food from uber and use a discount code, but if i cant use, not worth it

        • Ts&Cs for UBER say "Offer is not valid with gift cards, rides, or in any combination with other Uber coupons or promotions".
In turn I would not risk it if combining with a coupon or other promo. Uber would see it as two discounts and reject one I believe?

          • @Borg: ye exactly, annoying, i wouldnt mind losing my uber cashback or menulog or whatever, but losing the $10 bonus is a rip. nvm then

  • -1

Tried signing up not receiving verification email…. Nevermind all good just received it.

  • Does the cashback work for bid items from ebay?

    • I’m not too sure, sorry. Maybe try contacting their customer service

  • Did a Uber eats order on laptop using chrome incognito on Friday. Hasn’t tracked.

But did not check the remember me box at log in.
After the order was delivered and completed went back to top cash back website and was logged out.

Has anyone experienced that and did it track or not ?

    Thanks

    • +1

I've just placed a $14 order on chrome incognito on a desktop and did not check remember me at log in
In less than an hour, my order has tracked with an increase of over $10 in total amount on the top right hand corner
Individual tracking is not showing under Earnings Merchant yet
Edit: Transaction is in Earnings now

  • +1

Ordered a T-shirt from Adidas for $22.50 at about 16:15. Cashback and bonus $10 was tracked at 16:47. Not too shabs.

  • How long does eBay take to track? Ordered this morning still nothing yet.

    • +1

Might track either in a few hours or tomorrow

      • OK thanks, hopefully it got through

        • I've also just made an eBay transaction. Will report back tomorrow if it's tracked or not

    • I dont know but i purchased from Microsoft (xbox) this morning and no tracking for me yet either : /

    • I ordered something in the morning but didn't receive any confirmation about the cashback tracking.

  • +1

does using giftcard on ebay, invalidate the purchase?

or just use giftcard and 11 pay credit card?

    • +1

it shouldn’t, I dont think, as gift card is reported as cash by eBay (at least to Cashrewards/Shopback)

  • I've activated this offer and spent $10.68 with Chemist Warehouse, they better give me the bonus since it says spend $10, not spend $11.

If they try to weasel out of this by saying I need to spend at least $10 + GST then I'm done with them.

    • +1

Chemist Warehouse reports ex GST according to others. Same with Shopback and Cashrewards. You can’t just be done just because some merchants doesn’t include GST

      • -1

I'm fine with SB/CR/TCB not paying cashback on GST

I'm not fine with TCB saying you need to spend $10 to earn a bonus when in reality you need to spend $11 becuase members of the public like me are not able to purchase items from retailers without paying GST.

They should set their minimum spend to $9.10 for this promotion iand be much more clear that the minimum spend requirement is ex-GST for any future promotions like this one, if thats how they're playing it.

        • I'm not fine with TCB saying you need to spend $10 to earn a bonus when in reality you need to spend $11 becuase members of the public like me are not able to purchase items from retailers without paying GST.

SB/CR say the same thing btw. They don’t tell you to spend $11, they’ll say to spend $10. But they always have a clause saying cashback is not paid/reported to GST component, same as what TCB is doing atm. All they can do is put a warning and move on

I understand where you’re getting at, however some merchants DO include GST so it’s not really wise to say “spend $11” at the same time because that means some people may overspend unnecessarily at some stores

  • +2

$10 bonus tracked within a few hours for a chemist warehouse purchase.

  • What about eBay, do they report with or without gst with TCB?

    • +1

@King Tightarse sorry I missed this. Well the other day I ordered something for $15.99 (after a $5 coupon) and TopCashback tracked for $15.97
