Link in OP 97 22 240 is for crimping both insulated and non-insulated connectors

Locally they cost around $80, been seeing them on amazon for $45-50. At this price I feel I should have bought one instead of buying a pair of jaws for insulated terminals at $13. I especially like that they have the cutters at the front of the pliers, don't have to awkwardly slip them over a wire to cut it.

  How well do they work/how much effort is needed? long time since iv used non-ratcheting type crimpers but knipex make good stuff so cant be bad?

    Some useful reviews on this one, sort by top reviews. One guy rates this over the ratcheting crimpers of reputable brands.

    Personally I've used a cheaper version of the same design (no brand on it), with thinner handles. Almost certainly not as nice to use as good quality ratcheting crimpers, but the great thing to me is that it's got everything on it - can cut, strip and crimp the cable all with the one tool. I've bought myself one to keep in my everyday toolbox, the ratcheting ones can stay at home if i need to do a lot of crimping at once.

    edit: these have the comfort grip handles and are 40mm longer than my crimpers, both would increase comfort.
