  • Can these do 24x7 recording? Or would I need to set up a DVR like Blue Iris to record the RTSP streams?

    • Supports 24x7 recording

  • Any deal on 1 or 2 Cameras ? 4 cameras are too many, cant even resell them

  • +1

The webpage said the camera is 1080P, i.e. 2MP (1920x1080).

  • These are solid performers

  • I've got reolink e1s in my house, they seem to always drop off and need resets.. would this be an upgrade?

  • I think its the cheapest ever…only need 2 actually. It's reliable, I got one about 2 yrs ago and still do the job.

  • Dumb question, do these work when looking out windows at night? Or have people installed them outdoors in weather protected areas?

    • +2

Yes, the camera works behind the window at night, but you have to turn off the IR LED setting.

    • +2

Unless the area is well lit, it no good for looking out the window at night.

    • +2

I have tinted windows. If I have the IR light on, I get glare. From memory, I think low light performance was decent even without IR with the HDR on…

    • +1

I use a Reolink E1 Zoom camera and I point it out the window. The nightvision mode is black and white but it is good enough to make out human faces and vehicles.

IR LED's however will bounce off glass, so you need to disable it.

  • Is a monthly subscription needed for cloud storage?
    4x SD cards seems tedious.

    • Not sure if can be used as an ip camera and connect up to a qnap nas. Have anyone try it with the qnap nas?

    • +2

      1 camera $4.90/mo. Yearly $49

      2 cameras $ 9/mo. Yearly $90

      3 cameras $ 13/mo. Yearly $130

      10 cameras $23/mo. Yearly $230

That’s for 7 days recording playback called the basic plan.
Plus plan is 30 days but much dearer.

      • Thanks, there is limited information on the qvr pro. Is right in the basic upto 8 cameras are free or is there a catch to it and need to pay for the subscription?

        • I’m not sure if I got your question right sort, but there is no free cloud subscription on the basic usage either.

When I first got these cameras a couple of months ago, the plans were much better than these plans now.

  • I always feel like somebody's watching meee

    • You are being watched everywhere.

  • I'm looking for something that can do 24x7 recording for workplace. I have the eufy 2 pro for home and I don't like it when they only do short recording when something is detected.
Is anyone using this camera? Could you please share your experience?
    Thank you

    It's cheaper from https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/403951938572
Buy 4 of these and apply the code "MAR20CBT" and final price is $95.

    • -1

But your link is 2Mp, while Op is 4mp

    • +1

How do you get it for $95…its showing $137 for me

      • -1

        They have changed the price.

  • thinking of these for an indoor setup with cams mounted upside down, middle of top window frame…

    1. so all i'll need in addition to this would be a longer power cable and sd card to setup? what card size recommended?
    2. will these film through privacy tint in day / night scenarios?
    3. will be using on an android phone and pc….does the app work on a windows 10 desktop?
    4. better to buy one first and see if it suits or go the multi-pack for savings?
    • Don't expect cameras with IR night vision to work through windows at night. They reflect off the glass and make the cameras useless. Just put the cameras outside. Anyway you really shouldn't be putting cameras inside your house for privacy reasons. These cameras are guaranteed to expose feeds to the CCP and hence why the Australian government are now removing them.

      • +1

I get your point however camera's made in any country are open to expose feeds if connected to the net. . Pointing finger's directly at cams from CCP is somewhat a narrow viewpoint (in my opinion). It's not like the CCP have a vested interest in one's household :-)

As you noted though, No cams should be online and indoor unless you have decent security in place or don't mind whatever it is pointing at to be seen if hacked. I see cams as being like a postcard and there for all to read. That way only place/use them with care.
