Has anyone noticed Amazon deals aren't as good as they used to be?
Noticed recently they just matched Woolworth price and didn't even offer subscribe and save which they used to on the same item.

    • Amazon just fired 10% of their workforce. Strictly in money saving mode. They don't want to sell at a loss anymore.

      • They are not selling at a loss for most of the time even when then products are heavily discounted. There is a reason they make billions in profit year in year out.

        • +2

They make billions from the cloud software not Amazon shopping.

          • @XxAiDsTaRxX: Well that is not true at all. It is true that Amazon generates a sizeable chunk of revenue from AWS but almost 50% of their revenue comes from their online store. You can go lookup their financial statement in case you want to confirm.

@ninohax: Well I stand corrected. Ty for the clarification. I wasn't aware they pulled in that much from just the distribution store.

      Ever heard of inflation ?

Gotta get out of that 2019/20 mentality

    • +2

True - but prime free delivery makes buying too easy

    • +2

Yeah and they don't even match many prices these days and when they do they do it with their largest quantity item. Eg a 20 pack of nappies might be on sale at woolworths but they'll price match it per unit with their 200 pack.

    Oos

  • How does this compare to the Quilton triple layer. I noticed the Quilton rolls aren't all that big. But I think having smaller rolls encourages users to not use it as quick.

  • Bought the 8 rolls for $18 (s&s) just a week ago. This is $14.40
    $3.60 cheaper

    Viva is superior

    • Viva la Viva! ✊

  • -1

    Hmmm, wouldn't mind a Handee

  • Tuffy is the best. Viva does a good job.

  • damm missed the deal
