  • Just be aware that the integrated GPU will cut into some of the RAM which is probably still fine for a lot of people but could start to get a bit tight at 16GB for anyone planning to actually push the 6850U. There's a 32GB upgrade option that costs a bit more, kicking myself for missing the first deal!

mans thinking the igpu can push 4k60

      • I was talking about productivity tasks lol.

Hard to pull the trigger seeing the previous deal XD

  • Dammit, my macbook just shipped

  • You can also remove the touchscreen ( less $200) and it makes it $1,659.00 on the 512gb version

    • That’s with the 6650U - no 680m graphics unfortunately which is the appeal for a lot of people.

      • Does it matter for office work and youtube?

        • I’m sure you will have no issues for office/browsing/multimedia, you may be able to get something similar a bit cheaper though if not worried about gaming.

  • Anyone can highlight ThinkPad Z Series vs Yoga Slim Series ?

    • +1

I think a direct size comparison of this will be the Slim 7i Carbon as both are 13". The Sim 7i are lighter in weight but this will provide much better spec and performance. I do like the look of the YOGA more thou. Also I think the best AMD you can get in the YOGA series is the 6800u. Otherwise go with intel 12700h, but you will miss out on the 680M.

I just went from a Yoga 7 14" Gen 7 AMD (with a 6800U) to a ThinkPad Z13 and the ThinkPad Z13 both looks and feels like a much better built device. Specs were largely the same, was just after 32GB RAM instead of being limited to 16GB.

Not saying the Yoga felt cheap or anything though, is just that the Z13 feels like a decent step up.

Love the Yoga 7, shame it's not on promo. For the around the same price, you can also look at the Yoga 9i. Slightly heavier but 14". Better display, but the i7-1360P will only give you 4 P cores.Smaller HDD and no 680m. Being a 9i, I'm assuming the finishes should be more superior than the 7i.

      • Whichone feels lighter to carry around or keep in lap ?

        • +1

Slim 7i Carbon is just under 1kg I believe, both Slim 7i and 9i are approx 1.4kg and slightly larger being a 14". The Z13 sits between the 2.

        • +1

Between the Yoga 7 14" and the Z13, I would say the Z13 is more portable because it is physically smaller but feels pretty dense at 1.2kg whereas the Yoga 7 14" felt kinda light to me but was actually slightly heavier at 1.4kg.
