$40 off $80 Grocery Spend at a variety of local grocery stores (metro, iga etc) on the uber eats app.
Requires uber one.
Logged into uber eats and a promo banner was showing at the bottom. Clicking on the banner allowed me to 'claim the promo'.

Referee and referrer get 50% off first/next 2 Uber Reserve Rides.
Referrer gets $300-$500 once referee completes at least 30-40 deliveries.
Referees may be eligible for special offers based on the number of trips or deliveries they made after signing up through an invitation.
These offers are all an attempt to normalise the massively inflated grocery offerings on delivery platforms.
Not showing for me
Is it in the uber eats app or just the uber app?
That's correct.
Grocery items are so inflated that you will pay more than a local grocery shop(Woolies, Coles).
This will bring them down to normal prices, which saves you trip. I always order like 50 long life milks when this comes up.
No you won't end up paying more, well depends what you buy maybe.
The prices are generally much higher but this was my last order ($40)
1 Black & Gold Prunes 1kg
2 Green's Pudding Chocolate Sponge 260g
1 Bundaberg Brown Sugar 1kg
2 Black & Gold Tuna Springwater 425g
2 Palmolive Naturals Replenishing Milk & Honey Bar Soap 90g (4 Pack)
1 Black & Gold Salted Butter 500g
My previous order was ($20)
2 Black & Gold Garlic Bread 225g
1 Black & Gold Butter Unsalted 250g
1 Bundaberg Brown Sugar 1kg
1 Black & Gold Plain Flour 2kg
1 Black & Gold Salted Butter 250g
1 Black & Gold Black Pepper Grind 50g
That was the only value I could find.
Noice. Got this.
I've calculated this offer a few times - if you've got a 50% discount, and you're buying from Metro, most prices are marked up fairly consistently. When including service fee, the discount ends up being around 30% off the Woolies site, which is still decent in my books.
Yep, works out cheaper for sure. Added bonus is when something is out of stock, they don't charge you for it but you're still getting the flat $ discount. So last time they didn't have a few things, my order was adjusted to $26 for like $40 worth of stuff (because I still got the flat $40 off). Pretty nice.
It's even better if you can find a store offering BOGOF. I shop at Vic Market Grocer and end up getting a boxload of fresh fruit and veg for next to nothing.
Ooo nice man I'll have to keep an eye out for that.
I got $20 off $40, but it's more like $20 off $60 with the inflated prices, so not really saving anything.
