  • I can't see anywhere if this is within the minimum spec for PS5.

Approach it the other way around. Search the minimum specifications for expansion SSDs and then determine whether this SSD will work. :)

I got this one for my PS5. Worked fine. Good price here too.

You need NVMe PCIe 4.0 drive with 5500MB/second or faster sequential read speeds. This has 5000. Ideally, you need sonething else.

      • Given Xbox Series X is only 2500, my guess is 5500 is a standard they recommend, but the difference would only be -10% performance which is negligible for SSD's in most cases.

      • There's a couple of tests and they found that lesser read speeds weren't impacting performance at all - from memory speeds in at like 3800 loaded exactly the same. I think 5000 will be fine.

  • Still a great drive. Just purchased. Arguably a better buy than a SN770. Slightly higher write speed vs 1gb DRAM cache and included solid copper heat sink. These things are hefty.

  • Anyone know if this can be cut to 2230 form?

Of course it can, the question is, will it still work afterwards, which I don't think so!

  • Great price. I bought two a while go for $149 each. I'm running them mirrored for home assistant and VMs
