  • Great price. Much better than XBC2 so far.

I still haven't finished the first one yet. Started it on Wii, then on 3DS, then got it on Switch. Thinking of waiting for it to come out for Switch 2 Pro VR or whatever is coming next.

    • +6

haha damn. 3 console and still havent finished it.

      • It's a huge game, especially if you grind through all the side quests.

        • I believe XBC1 has endless side quest… please don't try to grind through all the side quest haha.

          • @mikkim4eva: "Got word from another settlement that needs help."

          • +1

@mikkim4eva: I stopped playing Fallout 4 when I realised the quests I had been grinding for hours to "get out the way" were endless and pointless. Videogames should not contain "filler" imo.

          • +1

@mikkim4eva: Yes but the trick is you should accept all side quests from the NPCs, that way you don’t miss out on rewards for doing stuff without the SQ in mind

      • LOL

    • Can the saved progress be transferred from Wii to 3DS or Switch?

    • 75 hours and still going 🤣🤣🤣, enjoying it to death though!!

    • Do finish the first one. I was in the same boat as you with all 3 systems bought. Finally played through it on Switch and it was worth it. Great game!

    • The Definitive Edition is such a great game :)

  • +3

Such a good game but got burnt out about 60% through. Just got stuck at a point where I was far too under levelled to keep going and cbf grinding to get to a decent level. Story was great up to there though.

    • Is there a difficulty slider? I sometimes change to easy mode in games when I start getting burnt out

      • Yeah, there's easy and normal. You unlock hard once you finish the first playthrough.

    • +5

Interesting you say that. I was doing a lot of side quests and I was constantly over leveled. I loved the story though and I would recommend at least watching the rest of the cutscenes!

      • +5

actually all these comments got me thinking how DID i get so underlevelled..i just realised this is xenoblade 3 not 2, which is what i was stuck on HAHA

        • +2

yeah that makes TOTAL sense. XB2 I remember that being a problem but XB3 it was notorious for the opposite! The story on XB3 I found much better

          • @catbarf: Reading all these comments made me think I played both xb2 and 3 for wayyyy to long. I’m overlevelled for both.

Fantastic game for xb2, 800+ hrs of playtime.

    • +1

I usually play on normal mode, but sometimes I turn on easy mode to make the grinding process a lot easier.

    • +5

How do you become underleveled? The game feeds you a huge over abundance of experience. I refused to withdraw any bonus experience from the campfire, and I still ended up being slightly overleveled.

  • Nia, I Iove you too!

  • Such a great game. Love the story, love the cast of 6 characters. The game starts a bit slow like most JRPG but once it picks up the pace, it's amazing. Music 10/10.

Do you need to play the first 2 games? NO. Just play this and come back for the others later.

If you are looking for a JRPG adventure, get this

  • Thanks OP! Bought!!!

  • get it now or wait for a 29$ future price match?

  • thx op!. got jb to match and picked up to start playing immediately !

  • +1

You can add the code: 5OFFPICKUP and chose drop off location close to get $5 discount

    • Thanks!

    • Doesn't work for me, says this can't be applied to this purchase or something even though I have selected a pick up location.

      • You have to select a pick up location first!, then add the code later.

        • Yup did that, went to checkout, selected a pick up location, input the code and I got the error. I think I read somewhere that it could be targeted.

I don't know man.. it was a drag to finish the 2nd game.
The dialog in that game was too anime like.

And this is coming from a jrpg fan.

    • +2

      I enjoyed 3 a lot more than 2.

It doesn't have as much of the.. jarring fan servicey stuff which is great.

Although I wish it had Turters

    • +1

I also didn't like the dialog on XBC 2, even though the story was good.
XBC 3 had better dialog, but the main story was easily predicted.

      • +1

        Agreed.

I really struggled to get through XBC2 but 3 was much more enjoyable.

Also found XBC2 a bit excessive in the childish hentai department.

If anyone cares XBC 2 Torna (EUR) has dropped again in price on Amazon

    $49.99

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Xenoblade-Chronicles-Torna-Country…

    • I always wondering why Torna price higher than XBC2. Is it worth the price? Does it has a lot of content? Will it just a DLC from the original XBC2?

      • +1

Well funny thing is when Torna first came out physically in Australia it had a cheaper RRP than XBC2.

But there was less quantities of Torna released in Australia than XBC2.

As a result of the the AUS copy of Torna has gone up in price for Australian Nintendo "collectors"

This link I posted is the exact same thing as the AUS but just the EUR labelling. No other difference.

Torna is a DLC for XBC2 digitally but physically its a standalone game. It's a prequel to XBC2 so can be played without playing XBC2 but i still recommend playing XBC2 before Torna to understand some of the references.
