@nikoris: I bet he has ten pairs of shoes as well. Some people are very privileged.

@[Deactivated]: The whole country is privileged, what's your point?

              • -2

@nikoris: You're being too generous for thinking I had a point but I do appreciate it.

                • @[Deactivated]: WhiteRights

                  • @borgainerz: I identify as a trans non-conforming African American lesbian drag queen from Alabama. Enough of your hate speech.

            • @[Deactivated]: Since when did working hard and having surplus money to buy things mean you are privileged? I doubt any trust fund kids are using OzBargain to save money

              • @WhiteEvo6: I was being overtly facetious, or so I thought. My shoe collection exceeds twenty. Perhaps I should have used watches as my example. Everyone has ten of them.

@mavis30551: Unfair to single out OzBargain. It's an insidious and pervasive western (leftist) phenomena. The Barbarians are definitely at the gates and they have underdeveloped funny bones.

ozbargain helped me a lot when i was poorer 4-5 years ago. Your whole post made me cringe

          • +1

@nikoris: Everything tharlow is cringe. Muted them a long time ago.

          • @nikoris: You're not in a court mate stop bsing god damn. Its like teenager defending their favourite artist about how they cured their depression.

You could probably price beat harvey norman at $98 for a total price of $93.10 at Officeworks. $1 difference really but I'd take the saving.

    • Though it's probably better to just buy directly from google as the shipping price is negligible

    • Wait does the price beat work when its also 98 at officeworks?

Anyone own a pair and would recommend for running/exercise? (plus I use a Pixel 3a)
I've been reading a ton of reviews and reddit posts trying to compare this to all the other alternatives. Honestly so many mixed reviews for everything on the market right now, it's really hard to decide what to buy that won't have some compromise or end up with issues.

    • +1

Depends how it fits your ears, for me an a few others I found the plastic tips very uncomfortable for exercise/any use. I sold them after a week.

    • +1

I use them first great for staying in due to the little wings. After about 3hrs of sweaty use (i wear them under earmuffs when mowing/brush cutting, they get a bit irritating. But am got on the bike they're fine.

Again like people mention, it's a personal thing to do with your ear shape.

    • +1

I own a pair and used it for hiking and cycling and they're good. They stay in my head quite well, whereas headphones without the fins fall out.
      YMMV

    • I’ve had a pair of these for about a year now. I most often use these at work to block out noisy colleagues and taking calls in the car to and from work. It does a good job at both of these things. However, wearing them for exercise I’ve had mixed results. If you’re running, as you move or you get sweaty, they can start to slip out and feel loose. I’ve never had them fall out, but they do need adjusting if you’re going for a run or using them for more vigorous exercise.
Because you have to rotate them into your ear to get them to fit, in some circumstances the microphones can be blocked and make calls for the other person difficult to hear. That said, I would still recommend them at either their rrp or sale price.

I heard (pun unintended) that these dont work with normal Android phones like Galaxy, Moto, Xperia etc

    • Went from a P6P to z Fold 4 they work the same

    • +1

You heard wrong . Work perfectly on moto & galaxy & iphone & ipad & Nokia. They're Bluetooth earbuds. It's the internet, people make stuff up to feel better about themselves.

    • Why wouldn't they? They're just Bluetooth. Just like how AirPods work fine with Android phones.

      • *But with less functionality

  • +1

Thank you! Just got a phone that doesn't have a headphone jack. Great timing.

  • For those that have Telstra reward points - it is discounted to 36,200 points on telstra site

  • Worst fit in my experience, YMMV

    • +2

best fit in my experience, YMMV

  • Is this an upgrade on Jaybird Vista?

  • How is the microphone quality. I am using 4yr old soundpeats from Amazon and microphone quality is bad. The caller can hear the background noise more than my voice. Any ideas….

    • +1

from the few youtube videos i've seen the mic quality is pretty decent

    • It's fairly good, but all earbuds are like that. The mic will pick up external sounds & your voice because the mic is on the outside. Having said that people say my Bose qc35 are better on phone calls.

Waiting for the Pros to come down

    • +1

I've got both these and the Pros and the Pros are way better.

      • Thanks!

  • These are good value imho, picked up a set soon after release mostly using my Google credit from a Pixel purchase the year before. Now using them with an iPhone, at least until I can get some AirPods at a decent price (though don’t really need to replace them tbh).

  • Does it work with Windows/MS Teams?

  • do these have multi point connection?

    • no

  • How do these compare to airpods gen 2?

    • +2

These are in ear and have silicon tips, the AirPods are the other style of earbud which kinda just sit loosely in your ear and can't adjust the size/fitting.

These will substantially block out more noise than the AirPods 2nd Gen even though they don't have ANC.

These are also half the price of the AirPods.

These don't have wireless charging, the AirPods don't either unless you fork out the extra dough for the wireless charging case.

      • Do these cause ear fatigue like other in ear earbuds?

  • I had a pair of these but lost em abd picked up the pros. The pros are better in almost every aspect except the fit. For me, they can come loose quite easily.

Whereas these pixel bud A series are a snug fit and are held in securely with the added wings. But the pros have better sound quality and battery life etc which is expected with the price difference
