Samsung Galaxy A22 5G (4GB RAM, 128GB Storage) Grey $268 + $5 Delivery @ The Good Guys

120

Phone on clearance at TGG. One of the few clearance models that are actually available for delivery. Choice of this for $273 or that telstra locked one posted recently for $199. Not bad for users with general use cases who want a Samsung, 5G, and who don't really care about getting updates for multiple years throughout the life of the phone when they have it. Seems to have pretty decent battery life from gsmarena tests.

      Drive by negs. Who knows.

Nothing wrong with your comment, IMO. I think NFC would be expected on many phones now and worth pointing out.

Esp from a leading brand such as Samsung

They're likely trying to push people to the next tier with its removal from the model at this price point. The A20 had NFC.

          • @ihfree: Samsung Galaxy A13 doesn't have NFC in the Australian model but the US and UK models have NFC. Not sure why we were left out

        • The A14 5G sold in NZ has NFC-though Samsung Aus has yet to release it here.

By the way, I have a A23 without NFC and just use my Samsung Watch4 to pay for things with Samsung Wallet/Google Wallet.

I agree NFC is starting to be a must now. Handy for cashless payments. Or for my train commute. Was at melbourne and all i needed was the google wallet and myki app.

This is a bit anal but ROM is read only memory, storage is probably more accurate

Sorry must've been a mod or something. Fixed

    • I seen this a few times also. Being in IT it irks me.

You want to tell the noobies which is which. One is memory one is storage.

Vram or volatile ram is memory. Memory is for temp storage of running apps or files. Nvram is non volatile memory is storage. A slightly more permanent but not completely permanent storage.

ROM or read only memory is for a one time permanent storage of things like firmware. Or boot operating system like BIOS.

  • Cheaper with 10MARCH promo code, down to $241.20

    • was just going to post this but for some reason they have 10% off is not applicable on the samsungs on clearance so sadly doesn't work
