Smallgoods is the only department at HN which runs at a loss and white goods and electrical have to prop it up. It's why the same properietor will own all 3 departments. There is nothing in toasters, vacuums, kettles, irons, coffee machines,soda makers, microwaves etc. The manufacturers absorb all the costs. You'll get a better deal on eBay etc
Source: I use to work for HN and have mates with prop codes still which can see TRUE cost pricing. Half the products are sold below cost price. Even when I bought my Arke soda maker they had to call the rep for a spiff to drop the price, which was really just a BS price match anyway.

@Droz: Hehe they call them Smallgoods as they're of low ticket price. Toasters, kettles, coffee, Cleaning accessories, vacuums etc etc etc.
Furniture, bedding, computers, electrical, white goods, small goods.
Got this vacuum a few months ago, was around this price at JB. Can confirm they are wonderful machines.
Battery is enough for maybe 3-4 passes of my apartment, so probably good for a whole house 1-2 times.
