[PC, Steam] The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition $12.08 @ Fanatical

240

Just received this in an email from Fanatical. I don’t think I’ve seen it cheaper than this.

“ With this special edition version of the game, you'll get new quests, environments, characters, dialogue, armour, weapons, and much more! After all, with mods, the sky is the limit.

The adventuring doesn’t stop within the game. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is playable on the Steam Deck, meaning you can take your console anywhere and explore being a Dragonborn there. ”

Nice. Just checked and I bought it in 2017 for $21 and only played the intro.

Thanks, always wanted to play this. Purchased, but I don't play games during semester so bring on the uni break!

      Next level discipline 👏

  • is this the most recent one? the re-re-re-release?

    • Anniversary Edition is the one that contains all the DLC's and stuff, and stuff.

It's ~$22.43 on Green Man if anyone wants the anniversary.

  • I'm assuming that if you played the cracked version for about 10 years you can't copy your saved game file into users folder to transfer 10 years of gameplay progress to steam. If that makes sense.
    Asking for my poor friend.

Haven't played Skyrim in a hot minute, though if it's anything like Fallout 3 or NV, your save files should be stored in Documents / My Games / Skyrim / Saves? If you have those OG save files, then I don't see why you wouldn't be able to just transfer it over. This should be the case as you can just download and use save files others have uploaded on Nexus Mods.

I don't think it'd work if your OG save wasn't from Skyrim Special Edition, though if it's the same version/release of the game than it would work.
