    Thanks OP. Got 3

    • 3 accounts?

      • Same account

        • They allowed you to have 50% off on three?

          • @superforever: Seperate order with the same account

            • @Albtal:

Seperate order with the same account

Hmm… normally after you bought it, you won't see the coupon again.

    • I also got 3 yesterday, but $18.37 cheaper

That’s the lowest I’m ever going for these umbrellas

      • Seperate order with the same account

Hmm… normally after you bought it, you won't see the coupon again.

        • You replied to the wrong comment 😭

        • Each coupon collected can only be used once. Customers may be able to collect some coupons more than once; however, customers may not collect and use a coupon more than 10 times and may not use more than one of the same coupon in a single order.

          • +1

@HomeAlone: That's actually incorrect. A coupon can be used up to 25 times.

I previously was able to collect a coupon 25 times and use it 25 times.

Sellers are able to set limits. So some sellers set a limit of 1 per account, or up to 25 etc

            • +1

@I Smell Pennies: Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was pointing out the part I put in bold, in response to "normally after you bought it, you won't see the coupon again."

I'll take your word on the 25. Most I ever got up to was 6, but that was with groceries where the limit always seems to be 6 even without coupons.

              • +1

@HomeAlone: Yeah no dramas. I was just pointing out that Amazon T&Cs is incorrect, rather than you.

anyone from last sale, please comment?

    • +2

There’s a comment in last deal about it being flimsy.

      • +2

That was me who commented - I still stand by that but given its less than $20 - I don't know if I should expect more?

I would say for the price - its ok, not the most sturdiest umbrella but serves better than those sold at supermarkets for about same price. I am not fully convinced if I will buy it again, probably want to see the longevity first.

    • The Amazon reviews aren't great.

      • +1

There are 1309 reviews. 85% are either 4 or 5 stars.

        • Two examples of high star rating, yet reviews/comments paint another picture……..

          Disappointment, I'll tell you why.

Let's see, where do I start? I bought this umbrella after researching several similar options sold here on Amazon Mexico, everything seemed to indicate that it would be a moderately functional umbrella considering its mid-range price. It is light, it has a nice cover although a little fair, the mechanism of a button to open and close it works relatively well because sometimes it sticks and the parasol does not open, to close it completely you need to compress it with both hands to retract it to the minimum size so do not think that when you press the button it will close and do little one, that doesn't happen.

The ribs give the feeling of being weak plastic although it has withstood the gusts of wind well, the surface of the umbrella is a material such as rubber not fabric, that was my first disappointment, it is supposed to be waterproof canvas some kind of fabric, well no, it is plastic that apparently will not last long.

It includes a reflective line around the circumference or edge, that's a nice detail, but now comes the really bad thing about this umbrella, I don't know why but my parasol filters a little water when the rain is intense, it seems to seep through the upper center and ends up dripping on my head. Too bad, this is disappointing.

The first time using the umbrella it flipped over and I can’t flip it back. It happens very often, can’t return as I’ve been using it quite often and have to drenched in rain if I don’t.

        • +1

There are some reviews with 5 star and still says disappointed

    • +1

      You can try and return

    • +2

I have one from the last deal.

I haven't used it much since I'm not in Melbourne, but initial impression is it is sturdy enough.

When I first opened it, it flipped inside out? I think it is due to the way it folds in. My first umbrella with the reverse fold 'feature'.

It is larger and longer than my old xiaomi one, comes with a fabric cover as well as plastic cover.

  • 50% applies to black only

  • Hmm not free though

  • +2

    RRP $99 LOL

  • Says it's $36, how do you reduce it down to $18.37?

    • +1

There WAS a 50% off code to tick, it’s gone now

  • If you want to buy more than one, make multiple orders of one item, as you only get the discount on one item

  • Unavailable 0932 AEST

  • And gone ;)

  • It's got to be wetter than the Korjo I use now because it's small. I get drenched every time it rains hard.

Guys, please learn that 99% of the Chinese brands on Amazon are incredibly cheap sourced articles from Alibaba: https://m.alibaba.com/product/1600595690663/Cheap-Travel-Por…

    Or

    https://m.alibaba.com/product/1600062230757/Automatic-Led-Lu…

The principle is easy. You select your article on Alibaba, ship it to Amazon and Amazon will do the rest (FBA). You pay for nothing.

    • You mean bought from Alibaba and Amazon will ship it to you?

      • +1

The Chinese sellers sources the very cheap goods from Alibaba. They list it on Amazon, considering a very high margin. They send it to Amazon. Amazon will do the fulfilment. That principle is called FBA.

I recommend to read some articles or watch some videos, it is a pretty interesting topic!

        • +3

So you downvoted based on the logistics channel?

    • +2

For anyone else who had no idea what FBA was or stood for - https://sell.amazon.com/fulfillment-by-amazon

    • +3

While that may be true, some items require 100+ in order to get it at that price, which we, as consumer are not able to do.

Amazon delivery is a shit ton faster than ordering form alibaba/aliexpress too.

      • +1

While that may be true, some items require 100+ in order to get it at that price

In that case nothing to do with us, consumer, we only need a few.

      • +1

That's correct! I know the struggles as I just started FBA myself. Most of the times I can confidently say it's not worth it

        • +1

Most of the times I can confidently say it's not worth it

Only if the product is good otherwise most of us will return it.

      • No doubts! Just wanted to highlight how "cheap" these articles could be. It is absolutely legit to do this business. I know that the "real brand" products have similar margins, but they definitely come with better service and longer durability.

  • Just missed it. Oh well

    • +8

      You actually saved $18.37

  • Amazing - it's an umbrella fgs.

  • Still a deal at $39?

  • Do gen Y and Z men use umbrellas for UV protection? I would if I had any brains but I'm still held back by gender stereotypes. My mother used to use an umbrella for sun shade and even at the age of 7 or 8 I thought if a boy or a man did it he'd be a sissy.

    • I use to think the same. But I think people fob off even putting sunscreen on daily in Australia as a sissy or inconvenient thing. But when you look at UV indexes globally, when people look at Australia's one, it's like woah… Most of us born here have just taken the nature of it as is, but never thinks twice at how bad it is.

    • Free free free didn't see it at all

    • How was it free?

Lightning deal dropped it down to $36.75 and the 50% off was based on the regular price -$49.50?

      • +1

The regular price is defined as the price the item is set at (irrespective of the RRP).

Coupon discount is always based on the regular price and never the RRP. In some cases, I've seen the regular price is higher than the RRP lol.

In this case the regular price was $99 and so with a 50% coupon the discount was $50

        $36.75 - $50 = free

        • Yeah, happened quite a free times.

Suppose they should up the price back to RRP first with the 50% coupon but sometime didn't

  • I call 100% BS on the windproof thing. This will definitely fold in strong wind.
Notice how the video demonstrates the wind hitting the outside of the umbrella? Obviously its not going to fold from that direction.

  • Just got this today.

The cover for it is nice.

The opening mechanism is abrupt, but the button to open it isn't the best, it's hard to press. The biggest issue? Closing it, pushing it back down to close with the handle, requires a lot of strength, sure for a young guy no dramas use some more force, but it's a lot tighter/tougher than your regular umbrella in terms of closing it down. I got it for my folks, they wouldn't be able to close it. Overall it's a let down so it makes it a piece of crap. Initiated a return.
