10% off Hose Reels (No Minimum Spend) + $7.95 Delivery ($0 with $99 Order) @ Hoselink

120

Been wanting to get one for awhile and missed out on the previous $20 deal.
This promotion works out better anyway as the normal 20m hose reel price is $209.

I don't think Hoselink normally would go any lower than this so now is a good time to get your hands on one of these.

Also worth to note that I have just purchased this last week with the same 10% discount via this link: https://selfsufficientme.com/support-me/

This is an affiliate link to one of my favorite Aussie Gardening Youtube Channel, I would encourage you to go through this link.
->same deal for you but supporting a fallow Aussie gardener, why not?

    • Pun intended?

    • Thanks for the great Youtube recommendation. He's got some good stuff.

  • I've had 3 for 5+ years now and they are all still in amazing condition. Tempted to get a 4th so I don't have to rotate one from front deck to balcony

I ordered one last night and stacked it with a 10% coupon I had from a previous purchase, but you can stack with takeoff5 and get 5% more off, or apparently SELFSUFFICIENTME10 for 10% more off.

Which would net you a 20m reel for $169.29, saving $39.71

  • Any recommended attachments to get with the hosereel to make watering/gardening easier?

    • If you want a sprinkler, get the oscillating one instead of the 9 pattern sprinkler. https://www.hoselink.com.au/collections/sprinklers

For me, watering in more of a square pattern works for our garden better. The main reason though, is it's much easier to move around with out getting wet if you need to adjust it as you can get to it from the side.

I have jerry rigged a short hose section with a flow controller so I can turn on/off the pattern sprinkler without having to walk all way to the tap if I need to adjust the sprinkler or risk getting wet for minor adjustments.

Other suggestion would depend on what sort of watering and gardening you do? The watering wand is good, the spray gun is good, the flow control gun is good, the fert sprayer is tedious to use, but good……having extra fittings and coupling is good, for putting onto pressure washer.

      • Thank you for sharing your thoughts, you're very helpful! I'll look into those sprinklers

I was unlucky with Hoselink. Bought one a few years ago after reading so many good reviews. Reel developed a major fault within a few weeks and the included spraygun leaked from almost day 1. Unfortunately you can't just take their stuff back to Bunnings for an easy swap. When I contacted them I had to basically pack and send back to them before they would do anything. Good luck getting all the water out of it and finding a suitable box. Would be better if they had a retailer distribution model.

I would temper the statement that the price doesn't go lower…..they semi-regularly have 10%-15% off sales. Don't mean to be pedantic, but just dislike big statements.

I am looking for a retractable hose reel and pondered if the 10% is the best for now. Thanks to the suggestion to stack the 5%. Maybe it'll be enough to get the purchase over the line.

If it works out better for you, deal stacks with $10 off code NEWIN2022 or NEWIN2023

  • I’ve been buying Howelink products for years now and their biggest problem is poor quality. Invariably most of their accessories break or leak, therefore you are constantly buying replacements and paying postage fees. Their top of the line hose reel is no better, developing winding mechanism problems only months after purchase. For another section of the property, I bought a Certa hose reel from Kogan for a fraction of the price and it is a much, much better product. After 3 Years of use, the Certa showed no signs of leaks or rusty internals (unlike Hoselink).

    • Seriously?! They market themselves as being super high quality - that is what we are supposed to be paying a premium for! Is that a lie?

  • I‘d say they are probably just on acceptable quality, certainly nothing exceptional. Biggest problem is leaks. Their stuff appears sturdy initially but that does not last. After a while, the plastic tends to crack due to UV exposure, spray guns start leaking, washers fall out from couplings, tap adaptors leak, hose reel mechanisms develop rust and leaks, And because they use proprietary couplings and adapters, you have no choice but to keep ordering things from them, things like rubber washers, valves and water guns. Very annoying, especially when you have to pay postage costs for a couple of tiny rubber seals. The alternative is to throw the whole lot out and go back to standard Nylex connectors, that way you just go to your hardware store for replacements rather than paying for postage and waiting 2 weeks for delivery.
