    Good pricing.

    This is really good price

  • Dear ai op, now please help me look for a cheap itx am5 MOBO to go with this ddr5

    • +4

I gave up on an AM5 ITX build. You should consider doing an ITX build with a i5-13600k. I chose the z790I edge wifi.

      • How come you gave up on the AM5 build? Is it not the it's aspect?

        • Probably lack of affordable iTX boards for AM5

        • +3
          • AM5 ITX motherboards are expensive and only the 'B' variants are available. Asus X version out of question.
          • Less SATA ports on the 'better' AM5 ITX boards.
          • Z790I Edge Wifi has more m2 slots
          • Z790I Edge Wifi has better power phases and up to 96GB RAM support.
          • Intel clocks DDR5 memory much higher.

I can live without a PCIE5 SSD slot.

      • Will have a look thanks for this

      • 13600k can't be cooled in itx cases due to cooler constraints. It's a very hot cpu. Min is always throttled as the best cooler I can install is the l12s which is nowhere near cool enough for this CPU..
I would advise against the 13600k

        • Gonna use the Arctic 34 Esports Duo in a Torrent Nano.

          • @PlushToys: In the torrent nano? Haven't seen the max height in that yet just double check before purchase.
Edit: I've just checked and the torrent nano is one of the largest itx cases. Almost really a microatx size case hence why the ability to house a larger fan

        • meh, depends, people have cooled 13900k at <10L, sure sometimes it requires some tuning but its not impossible, tower coolers especially (which there are plenty of itx cases that can fit lower profile tower coolers)

          • @Pugkin: I'm modifying mine. It currently relies on positive pressure to cool. But I'll try to make an area for an exhaust fan to help expel the hot air as there is only one case fan over cpu

        • Are throttled CPUs generally more effective than lower-power/lower SFF CPU variants

Compared to progressive GPU generations that can run higher performance with passive cooling

        • +1

I will let you know how I go with mine when I get it.

          13600k in an NZXT H1 V2 case.

          • @jlogic: Hopefully in this case the water cooling is better than air cooling.

        • +1

Plenty of SFF builds with 13600K + big ass double tower air cooler in an NR200 around

          • +1

@povogamer: Nr200 is the only case I knew which was able to hold a tower fan if GPU remained horizontal.
Now the torrent nano as well (although that's massive for itx).
These aren't the norm for itx though

            • +1

@maverickjohn: Ah so you meant smaller than those cases, I have the utmost respect for SFF people

      • I went with the z690i Unify for the Thunderbolt.

Worth noting for anyone in WA looking at this deal, the discounted pricing doesn't seem to apply.

    • Pricing ($30 discount) appears to be valid for WA if you order via MSY and pay shipping of $11. Not in stock/$209 if you try click and collect.

  • This one or 20$ more for the Corsair Vengeance 6000Mhz? Also I see that one is AMD EXPO and this one is Intel XMP, does that mean it work best for AMD and Intel CPU respectively?

  • | Samsung B or Hynix M-die, Timing 36-36-36-76, 1.20V, Intel XMP3.0

At those timings it's almost 100% samsung b
