AliExpress Shoes Very Poor Quality Chance of Refund?

Bought some Sneaker style shoes from Aliexpress. They arrived quickly, the style is great. The problem is the soles are way too soft, and easily damaged. It's like they are made of that foam plastic stuff they put in boxes with certain electronic items. Tried them out, they feel abnormally soft and already broken and worn on the sole after wearing for 20 minutes.

Seller says "They will be fine on rubber running track" But they are advertised as everyday breathable style shoes. I have had good luck with most things from Aliexpress, and also bought similar products made in China before. They were not very cheap.

What are the chances of a refund for the poor quality? I have given it a try with photos and explanation. Is there also a chance of trying with PayPal after or a waste of time?

      It did happen! It took a while but was offered a full refund, or a partial refund. I took the partial refund to avoid any issues and was the easier option.

      I buy alot from there. Aslong as you do your research its usually quite good. First time buying shoes from there but they are similar to what ive bought oveseas and here. Probably same factory. They were not cheaper than shoes here either, just the style I was looking for. These have excellent reviews, which makes me wonder if they just did the review before wearing them.

      The majority of the stuff I've bought isn't junk, lasted years. Which is why I am surprised. Also had hundreds of good reviews from around the world..

    What's the harm in asking the seller directly? You could have done that in the time it takes you to start this thread.

      I did, they talk in riddles on there. I was wondering peoples experiences. I have had refunds for damaged items, but this is just something thats low quality that should have lasted longer than 5 minutes.

        You left out the most important thing. The Price.

        You have to ask yourself how much is your time worth. If this thing is like $20, just take it as a loss. You can be more productive than that.

          More than that. I am just giving it a try, was asking if anyone had other experiences. I wonder if Paypal could be an option. It will be a loss, but I am still trying.

            @drspy00: From memory, i thought you had the option of requesting refund without speaking to the sellers. Just put in the reason and Aliexpress will also review. You can try to force them given that you have picture proof.

      Why not? Couldn't find that style for sale here, and I buy lots from there. Its most of the time good quality. Most of what I buy is stuff Ive bought in the past overseas or can find the same item for sale on amazon or other sites with inflated prices. These have very good reviews from all around the world which seem genuine. There are also crazy items for sale on there like 80TB usb drives that have good reviews, but those are obviously fake or from someone who doesnt understand they have been scammed. Ive had mostly good luck with Aliexpress, lots of useful and unique items. Couldn't find anything locally even similar.

    Lol I already think big companies like Adidas and Nike are holding back and purposely making their soles wear quicker than they could be. Can't imagine how long a pair of Aliexpress shoes would last.. 😂

    you can try and do a refund, i had an exp like this… only got a partial refund…. $10 and i paid like $90 lol … idk just try or u can scare by saying youll write a shitty complaint …theres also like a refund bot on ali xpress, just try and see how far you can go

    Yeah one of those "welcome to asia" moments. Went to Malaysia in 2008 and needed trainers asap. Bought a pair under $50 after briefly trying on. Looked at them in detail later at the hotel and parts were made up of a treated cardboard type material…. Kept them for a couple years as a souvenir and light use. Things like lots of puddles or a 10km run would probably messed them up.

    In the Op's case, you can see other listings for the same shoe and check reviews. Usually, you will get some refund to stop you from leaving a bad review.

    Well! Aliexpress offered a partial refund about half the price I paid so I accepted, because its an ok deal if I wear them around the house. Was offered a full refund but decided to not choose that option as I have heard the sellers cause more issues if you do that.
