    • If began with a B i’ll get some too, been a bit leaky lately

  • Not for Mitsubishi

      Not for Tesla either

  • Where were you when i was looking for you 2-3 weeks ago and needed one desperately!… ended up accidentally dumping the cvt oil! (Which was fine as i wanted to change out anyways)

Ended up getting one socket from Amazon, so i guess alls well that ends well i guess…

If you're in the habit of servicing your own car, get yourself a fomoto sump valve and never worry about having to undo the sump bold again

I've seen those used on KTM990ADV to avoid removing petrol tank during oil change. Wouldn't use on some lowered cars though

    • Genius bit of kit. Might grab one.

Or a fluid extraction pump, suck the oil out through the dipstick tube. Much cleaner, and if you have a top mount oil filter you don't even need to raise the car.
Also handy for other things like draining the water out of a blocked sink/toilet/drain etc so you can clear the clog without getting nasty crud all over you.

Fluid extraction pump won't remove the debris that collects at the bottom of the sump.

        • -1

Does this matter ? This debris isn't being picked up, because the oil filter would collect it - so it's not really doing any harm just sitting in the sump 🤷🏼‍♂️

          • @Nom: It will increase engine wear because the oil filter isn't 100% effective. It can also cause the filter to clog up and create oil system overpressure, seal leaks, reduced flow, etc.

    • This would be very handy for draining some oil out if you've inadvertently over-filled the engine.

  • This was $17.58 once when RRP was $43.95. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/522701

  • I just paid $24.99 for this by buying click and collect on ebay using the ebayplus member Plus5 discount for February :)
    Thanks OP
