Would that work with a ASUS RT-AX56U? Currently running a standalone 4g router in bridge with the Asus providing wifi network.
I have a Asus RT-AC68U (i think) …. and i know it accepts a mobile phone plugged in via USB….
Whenever my NBN dies…. i ll attach my phone to the Asus for temporary internet access.
On your phone, you just gotta turn off Wifi and turn on USB Tethering.
As for attaching a Huawei dongle, I "think" ive tried it years ago, but i dont recall it working.
If i have some time after the entire family has gone to bed …. might test it out.
Can this work for wifi enabled smart meter that needs internet connection?
As i don't have wifi at home, solar company has told to organise one.
The Optus Huawei E3372 doesn't have WiFi.
Ohhhhh ok …. so thats whats different to the E8372 that i was talking about !
Ive Unpublished my comment.. to avoid any confusion.
Thanks dude.
If this is anything like the Huawei E8372, then you can plug this into most of those Sagemcom broadband routers (eg from Optus) to add LTE connectivity.
