$2 cheaper via Officeworks and Amazon

    • +2

can officework do pricematch with amazon and give extra 5% more?

      • YMMV

        • Don't expect everyone to know what you're acronyms mean !

          • @Murkymerv: YMMV. (also ymmv) written abbreviation for your mileage may vary: used, for example on social media and in text messages and emails, to mean that you understand people may have a different opinion or experience to yours

          • +1

@Murkymerv: How dare you expect he/she to justify his/her acronyms.

      • If amazon if cheaper than officework by 10c then probably yes. If same price then no.

        • they decreased the price and now same as amazon.

    • Officeworks just one-upped and went $1 cheaper than Amazon

      • +1

They do that to stop the price beat. Its happened many times before.

        • LOL. Negged for stating a fact. Like i agree with it. Which i dont. Hey you don't like it as much as i do but still doesn't change the fact why they do it.

    • Would Officworks or JB Hi-fi price match the Telstra deals?

      • JB should match it, try few stores, OW probably wont, but worth a try as if you get the right person will 5% price beat

Posts like these are why I love my 28 Degrees price protection insurance :) Thanks OP!

    • how to get this thing?

      • Price protection insurance is closed to new customers at the moment… not sure if other cards offer the same thing, I am sure someone will chime in if so.

        • I canceled mine because they charged me interest on closing balance and now I can't get it back

      • +3

They closed it years ago, it’s the gift that keeps giving for those that still have it

    • I was able to claim my 100$ gift card from JB today without insurance. I bought 24 days back.

      • 20 days, no luck for me :(

        • Try to check with live chat guy and show that screenshot in the store.

  • Apple store can price match. You just ask.

  • Bought week ago :(

    • -1

      Ditto :(
Not sure if it’ll be worth giving JB a call tomorrow

      • +2

I bought an iPhone 14 (base model) from JB with Click n Collect, then 3 days later it went $80 off. Called the store and politely asked if they would refund the difference, and all I had to do was go back with receipt and they refunded it to the card. I also used a different store to my initial purchase; just call to confirm they will honour it.

    • Me too :((

I actually managed to get them to price match Bing Lee over the phone ($50 off) which they refused to do in store (at least the guy I was talking to) stating that Bing Lee now may be supplying gray market stock.

Costco actually had it for $2179 which they refused to price match as well.

    • +1

Just rung JB Hifi and lady on the phone said as long as it’s within two weeks of the sale just bring the receipt into any store and they’ll refund the difference :D

    • Went in store, politely requested to refund the difference, and they very gladly honoured it.
There is a two weeks price protection policy, I didn't know about that.

      Thanks OP :)

    • They do the same discount every year when Samsung release their latest phone

    • -2

Enjoy your 1 year of software updates.

      • +4

I personally do not like both Samsung and Apple so I am no fanboy but this is such an outdated take… Whilst I agree Android is not the greatest at software updates, Samsung flagships in particular usually do get very timely updates and the S23 is set to be supported for at least 5 years.

        • +2

4 years major version updates + 1 year of just monthly security patches, not sure after that. When I can get an S23 for $300 less (at launch via edu discount) than an iPhone 14, I'm willing to sacrifice 1 year of major OS updates.

          • @heef: Whoops forgot we're already in 2023 so got the years mixed up lol

      • +4

They've promised 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. This criticism isn't really valid anymore.

        • +2

4 years of major Android updates? Wow.. that's a big improvement then. The single biggest reason I moved to iOS was the steady stream of updates for years and years.

      • It’s 4 years

    • +1
      • Apple is not struggling to sell.
      • S23 is not the "king of Androids"
      • -6

Why is so hard for Apple fans to accept something
        I was using iPhone 13
Where there is good you have to give credit!
        Now s23 ultra is beast.
But you don’t need to accept it.
        It’s all personal choice
        But don’t cry

    • Once again you will be back. I keep buying android phones and then after a year of use regret it.

      • -2

        Wrong
        This time they nailed it
It was their battery and camera section they always struggled
But new hardware made huge advances
It’s actually put iPhone 14 Pro Max to shame
        No sht

        • -3

You’ve used the s23 for a year? That’s insane!!!! How’d you do that??? Didn’t it just come out? By the language of your comment, I can only assume I was using android before you were born.

          • -6

            @onlinepred: Are you ok?
            Something wrong with you?
            Go see a doctor man
            Or find a hobby

            • -1

@Morpheus: Time to grow up buddy.

              • @onlinepred: Telling me to grow up
                Go see a psychiatrist
Look at the way you talk then tell me to grow up
How old are you? Tell me
                Seriously
                Why continue a useless talk?

                • @Morpheus: Just to help you, I said "I keep buying android phones and then after a year of use regret it."

                  AFTER A YEAR.
                  Then you said

                  "Wrong
                  This time they nailed it
It was their battery and camera section they always struggled
But new hardware made huge advances
It’s actually put iPhone 14 Pro Max to shame
                  No sht"

HOW CAN I BE WRONG IF YOU HAVEN'T OWNED IT FOR A YEAR?
Just so you can understand, the most amount of time you could have owned an S23 is from February 17 2023 to February 20 2023. So how long have you owned it to determine that after a year there will be no issues?

Why continue a useless talk? I won't, peace out mate.

                  • @onlinepred: Listen
You and I know already that I go by what the reviewers are saying
Purely talking on their experiences so far since the release
But you just pretend talking like you don’t know
So who is the kid here?
                    You won’t peace out?
                    It’s your problem
                    Bye

Only bothered checking the 14 Pro 128gb, but $1 cheaper at Harvey Norman, and I note that, as some people will have the current Amex offer of $50 back for $300+ spend there, effectively making it $1,598.

Shopback Jbhifi gift card is 5% cashback. But it is only $100 each. Just want to know how many gift card redeem is acceptable in Jbhifi?

    • As many as you want.not sure online, but definitely no limit instore.

    • 1 only online… made that mistake before… SMH

      • +1

Incorrect - you can use unlimited JB gift cards online. I think you may be referring to TCN/Ultimate cards which work as a credit card and thus you can only use one. However, TCN cards can be swapped online for JB cards so technically you can use unlimited of those per transaction as well.

        • I hope you're correct! I might try and swap those cards.

Just bought an iphone 14 pro max and I can confirm that you can pay with 18 $100 gift card.

    • In store or online?

      • online

        • How to use that online. I have those 3 ultimate kids card 500 value, i am not able to use them online. Did u use jbhifi card or ultimate card

          • +1

@Nickbag: not sure about the ultimate kids card. I used the actual JB HIFI gift card.

    • Lol! Brilliant.

I bought an iPad with 5 on Saturday and the sales assistant told me that they were going to introduce a limit… At least for in store purchases where it takes a while to put them all through.

Apple should have upped the storage on 14 Pro line-up to minimum of 256 GB.

    • I dunno, I feel less gb is more old school

    • I considered upgrading but I still have over 100GB free so kept with the 256GB - same as my iPhone XS had

  • Some unions give 5% off Apple gift cards - may be worth checking if yours does

    • Yep my Union membership gives at 5%

      • its funny how some members 'forget' to use it.

  • Does anybody know when these deals end? I won’t be able to go before next weekend.

    • I asked in online chat and from memory they said 9th March so you will have time as long as they have stock available. I had to jump on it as my wife wanted the silver 512gb and there was only a couple of stores with 1 in stock with the online delivery saying April - Also used the TCN 10% Woolworths Offer and got a $40 case for $15 extra.

Hi there guys, i read one of the comment said Apple will price match with JBHIFI, is that mean you can buy gift card at Coles and woolworths, get the points and buy the phone at Apple store, that way can save like $200 for 2k phone? Thanks

    • Just did that, over the phone, as I got apple gift card loaded onto my account, so I just get them to use my balance to pay out. So technically, pretty good savings on my end.

  • When I went in to purchase yesterday, they said the sale ends in the next couple of days, so make sure you do it soon if you are looking at buying/price matching etc.

  • +1

Surprisingly it expired this morning, but I immediately called Apple for a price match - Apple still did!
