    Does that have the same pitfall as other TCL models where the Australian variant gets lower quality components?

    This TCL C835 has the reverse issue where it reviews well Australia-only and has few reviews on popular comparison sites such as RTINGS

  Waiting for a good deal on the XR-75X95K. It was $4,451 a couple weeks back with the 20% RANGE promo at TGG. Maybe should have jumped on that, oh well…

      Tcl C835 has more dimming zones and higher refresh rates,144hz hdmi 2.1.
      TCL C835 Is better than the Sony x90j 75inch that I have. X90j and x90k are not really that different. The J has better blacks.

  Sony implementation of Google TV is terrible. (Laggy, settings get changed to default after upgrades, the UI isn't that great).
  We ended up buying a Google TV dongle which is much better. So buy the best panel you can buy and just add the Google TV yourself.

      No, its just the UI for the google tv is laggy. E.g. you press the button, then press it again because you think it hasn't worked, but you've double pressed, really annoying for navigating menus
