Byron Bay Premium Lager 2x 6-Packs $24 ($20 VIC) C&C (+ $10 Delivery with $30 Spend) @ BWS

1300

Was just looking at using up some Sip coin and noticed that if you add 2 6-packs of Byron Bay Lager to your cart they reduce from $19.50 each to $10 each.

If you add one, you pay full price. If you add 3, you pay full price. 2 seems to be the sweet spot to get them for $10 each. Stacked with Sip coin for an even better deal.

Note: checked a number of Victorian store and it worked. Not sure about other areas.
Enjoy!

  • Worked for me in Vic. 2 for $20.

    • must be nsw beer wanting to enter interstate markets e.g vic and sales aren’t up, .is this beer even any good or just a session beer from byron bay …. always think of strong flavour beer coming from working class cities like newcastle or mt isa or cockburn ….

      • -1

this is a great tasting hot climate drink it COLD session lager - I rate it - also not overpriced by carton (usually $54) for 355ml stubbs

      • +13

It's not very good. Extremely watery and weak tasting. There is nothing distinguishable about the beer and there are other beer brands from the big alco companies that do similar products that actually taste of something.
This beer is just an exercise in branding by Lion aimed at those that want to be drinking a brand more than a beer and don't really want to taste anything of note. If you want something to keep in the fridge that you can smash on a hot day, is slightly fizzy and alcoholic then this would fit the bill. $10/6 pack is about right for this.

        • Yeah, it’s really not a good beer by any standard.

        • Just tasted it. Could not agree more than this.

        • Yup. ^ this.

Got this free in last year's BWS summer promo.

Rainwater has more flavour than this beer.

        • Thanks. I just cancelled my order on account of this lol

  • +5

Looks like it's 2 for $24 in states with container refund schemes.

    • But they don't give you $4 worth of bottles though

      • +4

        There's always one mathematician

      • Donation to the companies that accept your containers ;)

  • Full price in North Queensland

    • Full price in central QLD too.

  • +1

woot. just in time for a gathering.

  • +1

    OP thanks
Just wanting using my $7 coin before it was expiring 17 for 12 cheap bottles of beer ;)

  • +1

$24 before sip coin in SEQ

  • With $7 coin, you could just pick up 6 Somersby for $10 too. There's a few others around that range assuming you get a lot of these coins.
Obviously not as good as this deal but Byron Bay lager doesn't even appear for me.

  • +3

The beers are all so overpriced even with $7 sipcoin. Only sipcoin i've found worth using is the $10 wine one..

    • +2

Discussed this with mates the last time they had this promo…the coins you get discount the stuff to virtually the same price they have at Dan Murphys (also Woolworths owned). These 'prizes' just seem a marketing gimmick

      • +1

Pretty much. Might save a few bucks off the DM price at best on the beers. The wines are pretty good though, I get RRP$20 wines on sale for $14-$15, - a $10 sipcoin they are good value and a $9+ saving over DM prices. Problem is $10 wine sipcoins aren't too plentiful now, more times than not I get nothing..

      • who would have thought….

    • +1

Didn't use it myself but the james squire broken shackles and one fifty lashes on clearance price for 37 a case before sipcoin was a deal and a half.

  • +2

Thanks mate, $17 for 12 beers in WA with the $7 sip discount. Good price :)

  • 24 for me. With $5 sip coin its $19. Thanks op.

  • Love the sipcoin bargains

  • sipcoin?

  • Works for me nice.

  • Thanks OP, worked for me in Vic.

  • 24$ for sydney as well

    • +3

Lol if 0.8% affects you so much maybe you should stick to the light beers :)

Besides if you're just drinking to get drunk, spirits are a lot quicker.

      • -8

0.8% is >19% so every ~5 equals 1.. it's a huge amount if you want to talk %
I only drink asahi, gin/tonic, whiskey/soda.. oh i bought a case of this a few days ago and it gets me buzzing at 6.9%
        https://bws.com.au/product/174567/amplys-hard-ginger-beer-ca…
You can keep your watered down byron rubbish that tastes like shit

        • +4

          man you are so cool

        • The Amplys is actually alright, but I prefer their cider. If we're talking about cider though, I like the Mercury 8.2% passionfruit (the raspberry one tastes a bit too much like children's panadol for me)

You're not wrong but if you're regularly having a 6 pack a night I'd be kinda concerned ngl..

        • +1

You can keep your watered down byron rubbish that tastes like shit

Having had a mouth full of shit. This certainly does not taste like shit.

        • Hudcon drinks water to quench his thirst
He uses his mouth and air to blow balloon up
He pricks with a pin to watch it burst
To make noise he uses his breath
To unlock doors he uses a key
And when he's looking for something he uses his eyes
He use booze to unlock himself
Don't ask him why he smokes
But he drinks to get drunk

    • +3

It's ok, you won't stop being so masculine if you drink lower than 5% beer.

    • -2

Lol I can't believe so many losers are on here downvoting me for no reason

      • Well, I think a more appropriate and more flavourful option would be a mid strength pale or session IPA. Plenty of those to choose from if you don't want to go full 5%+.

But to say 4.2% = undrinkable is an incorrect statement. I think you mean at 4.2% this flavourless beer doesn't even make it worth drinking to get drunk?

  • 2 for $24 in Sydney - $19.50 each.

  • +1

Seems to be a legit promo, but perhaps not being applied correctly. Noticed on the BWS web site it says "Spend $28 & Grab me for $12 - Grab any of the products below for only $12 when you spend a minimum of $28 in one transaction. At this great price, no further discounts apply. Limit of 2 per transaction. Offer ends 28th of February 2023.".
The two 6 packs satisfies the $28 spend, but then it makes both $12 each.

  • Apparently this beer is very average and has a chemical aftertaste. So not even a deal IMO at $8.50 a six pack.

    • +2

Apparently means you havn't tried it.

      • +1

And apparently I agree with you, @debo. Nice beer when it's ice cold.

  • Byron Bay Brewery Premium Lager 355mL
    2 x $19.50 = $24.00
    Subtotal =$24.00
    Incl. product savings:$16.00
    Order Discount - $5.00
    Total: $19.0 inc GST

  • Just made 2 x orders and using $5 sipcoin work out a slab for $35 in vic

  • Thanks OP. Total $15 for 2×6 Packs with $5 Sip Coin discount here in Tassie. 😀

  • In SE QLD they have this promotion;
    "Get It for $12
Grab any of the products below for only $12 when you spend a minimum of $28 in one transaction. At this great price, no further discounts apply. Limit of 2 per transaction. Offer ends 28th of February 2023."

Only 5 products on there but the Byron Bay beers are one of those…

I did the esky and got 5 sip dollars which brings it down to $19…

    • Doesn't seem to work anymore, added two and comes to $32

  • Tx, 2x $5 sip coins. $30 for a Slab. $29.10 using gift cards from MBL

  • $24

  • 2 6pack for $19 byronbay

  • $24 NSW

My local BWS had quite a few 2 packs ready for pickup. Always nice to see fellow OzBargainers in the wild.

  • Site seems to be struggling!

    Thanks OP.

  • Cheers OP

  • +3

nothing positive to say about this beer… it's awful, tastes like carbonated cat piss

    • +4

Why are you carbonating cat piss?

      • And why are you drinking it?

        • +1

Cheaper than this, tastes the same… Would have thought that was obvious :-)

    • -4

Completely disagree, first time trying it and first sip is very palatable and goes down well. Far better than VB, XXXX, Fosters or many of the other 'mainstream' brands…

    • +2

I couldn't agree more. One of the many beers that would indeed qualify as a megaswill.

    • +2

When I tried it had the most awful chemical aftertaste. It's tepid, with zero character or even taste. There's literally nothing going on. It makes Corona seem like a tropical hazy IPA by comparison.

  • Thanks OP, used $7 Sipcoin to reduce price to $17 for 2 WA

  • Bugger, $24 for the Gold Coast.

  • Works for me. 2 for 20 in vic

  • Can someone please kindly explain how i use my$10 sipcoin that's in my account. I've clicked in redeem, it shows selected. But the balance is still full price.

    • +1

Via the app, select the sipcoin discount you won.
      Click on redeem online.
It will show you the relevant product category (eg, beers).
Look for items that have the orange Cooler promotion logo over the top. These are the only ones eligible for the sipcoin discount.
Once you go to checkout, the total price is shown minus the sipcoin discount.
If it doesn’t deduct it then you haven’t selected an eligible item.

  • My email address has a hyphen, and their system doesn’t take it lol!

  • Awesome deal with sip voucher $7 off I could get the 12 for $13 but I can't drink full beer these days. But the pure blonde 2x $33 good deal too & with voucher I can get 12 cans for $26 so might get that.

  • Cool. Thanks

  • i mean.. is it any good?

    • +1

Not really. Pretty generic beer if you're in Ironjack, Great Northern and Corona.

  • This stuff is absolutely disgusting. Don't waste your money.

  • Don't forget to use 5% off gift cards with $7 sip coin. Brought it down to $16.15 for 12 in QLD.

  • Thanks OP, got 2 cases. Great taste.
On the bottle: Born in Byron Bay. For bottling, the beer is brewed outside of Byron Bay.
    Lol!

    • Honestly curious. Can I ask, what do you taste? Description?

      • Lager at great value. Lol.

  • -1

It stopped working. Can you find another one? Thanks.

  • Got sip coin this morning, and offer has ended.
