Nice one op, was looking at magnetic tiles this morning and they ranged from 80-129 depending on PCs in set.

These are really good tiles with very good magnets. I have owned a couple of sets of these and some of the cheaper ones and these can build huge towers etc that are very solid due to the very strong magnets inside.

    • I've bought this Discovery one but the current deal is cheaper

      https://www.target.com.au/p/stem-discovery-mindblown-magneti…

    • Gotta say it has an almost insane amount of reviews… over 60k with a positive average

      • Interesting. Amazon US has less reviews 31,196

        https://www.amazon.com/PicassoTiles-Construction-Inspiration…

        • That’s still… like 30k more than any of the other off brands haha

@Jimothy Wongingtons: For what it's worth, we have this set and a different magnet tiles set gifted to us that was bought at Kidstuff. This is at least 2x the magnet strength and generally better quality of the one bought here. (edit: that is to say…not sure I would call it an "off brand" that's just getting dropshipped etc)

Highly recommended, my kids' favourite toy.

            • @mtr: Thanks, we also had a random Chinese brand of magnet tiles and the magnetic strength was crap. It was a gift so can’t complain I guess.

Looking forward to a better experience with this set with my two kids

  • 100% claimed
Has this been ozbargained? It was 10% claimed when I posted the deal an hour 10 mins ago

    • 1 hour 10 to be sold out is actually slow for decent lightning deals, some are gone in literally 60 seconds haha

      • Those were the massage guns

    Will this replace my mortage?

My 2 year old loves this shit. Actually impressive what he can build. Only thing that keeps him still for more the. 30 seconds.

  • At what age do kids get bored with these tiles? Or never

    • +3

Never.. You always need a new garage, building, jump, tunnel or ramp. These have lastabilty.. Just don't let your kids build near a TV. They make a nice dent in the screen….

      • Ouch

    • +1

My 5 and 7yo boys fight over them. 9yo boy not really into them unless it’s to annoy his brothers.

  • Just watch out if you try to use multiple sets together from different makers. I got excited about buying stacks of these to go with an existing set, but when from different manufacturers the pieces will be different sizes. Sometimes cheaper sets contain smaller piece size eg 5cm vs 7cm, presumably to save money.

  • Deal is back. Doesn't say for how long
