Don’t ask me how…somehow have $150 or so of Gold Class food and beverage vouchers/gift cards that are about to expire. I don’t have any movie ticket vouchers and I don’t want to pay to see a film. Will they allow me to enter the Gold Class area just to buy food and eat it at the bar area?!

Based on the times I've been, I can't see why you can't sit in the lounge/bar area and order some drinks and stuff to consume using the gift card to pay for it. You have to pay up front for drinks etc.
Looking at he T&Cs, yeah you can't use it for tickets. Also be aware of this line that says it has to be used in one go! So take some friends to help spend your $150 voucher if needed.

You can definitely do this, unless Village Cinemas has changed their policy.
I would recommend you go in between sessions, that way the foyer will be less crowded and you won't have waiters running around everywhere serving people. Unless you want to experience that kind of atmosphere.
