Not sure what's difference between 27UP550N & 27UP550N-W but it seems to be a decent monitor that ticks the basic boxes.

  • I believe -W usually means that the back of the display housing is white instead of black on LG models

A bad sign if they don't mention the refresh rate anywhere on the product listing

    • updated;p

      • Wasn't a dig at you but at Mwave/LG :D

Nice price. The interface (joystick is so much better if you need to select menu options regularly) and general features give this the edge on the equivalent Dell (I have both).

  • Tempted to upgrade from my 6 year old 24'' 75hz non-ips 1080p monitor I'm currently using.

But given I'd need to set it to 1080p for any modernish gaming, it would be kind of a shame having to use a lower frame rate than what I use currently. And from what I've seen for 4k its basically 60hz or pay a crazy high amount for 144hz which is kind of pointless since I have an rx 6700.

    • For everyday productivity use, the LG will work just fine. Dell has much better warranty if you end up needing it though

  • I have one of these (or something quite similar – mine is the one without bezels, whichever one that is). It’s fine. Works well with Windows and Mac, and provides plenty of juice over the USB C for a crappy Dell work-issued laptop. It’s very plasticy and not particularly pretty, but it gets the job done (I’ve never used it for gaming, so YMMV there).

  • Thanks!
I'm considering whether to buy it now or wait until it's listed on eBay.

  • How's this as a movie-watching screen?

    • OK for casual use. Even though it can accept HDR10 input, its gamut is limited to sRGB, so don't enable HDR.

  • I bought one at Officeworks with 5% price beat.
    Paid $379.05 using GC.
Same product code. But already out of stock near my area.

Of course, I bought Ultimate Everyone GC today at Coles(20x flybuys points this week).
    Actually I paid $341.145.
I haven't opened yet but very happy.
