I prefer the Cookie Monster version myself :)

      • This the only reason I want this lego set

  • This looks amazing!

  • Damn, I should have held off ordering on release day but I didn't want to miss out!

    • did you hang it up on the wall?

      • Only arrived today so I haven't yet taken it out of the box. I don't know that it'll go up on the wall just yet, I have a print of the Great Wave that I got when I was in Japan that I'd like to display it with, maybe side by side. So final placement TBA, but gotta build it first and get a feel for the final look / size.

        • i am planning to hang it on wall as well but the box is already so heavy, i wonder how should hang it safely

@humbala: Something like the IKEA Mosslanda picture ledge @ 55cm might do the trick. Dimensions on the box say it's 52cm wide so that'd be pretty much perfect.

Granted, that's a pretty permanent solution, not suitable for renters, etc. The overall weight looks to be around 3kg so as long as it's distributed well there's a lot of non-permanent solutions that should be fine too. You could probably even mount a picture ledge using some 3M strips and the combined weight would still be within the limits depending on the type, although I'd personally be a bit paranoid about that. Last thing you want is for the finished set to fall!

            • @beeawwb: I agree, last thing i want is it fall in the middle of the night and you pick up the pieces the next day.

Thanks for the suggestion of the IKEA picture ledge, will look into it further.

3m strip may not able to do it as the back of lego is not 'flat' if you know what i mean.

https://youtu.be/5i035lNwR0s?t=228 <— there are 2 nail hanger at the back so may be another permanent solution will be doing that.

      • Keep out of sunlight or whites will yellow, etc.

looks good but feels a bit expensive for how small it is

    • +1

      thats what she

    • Whats the actual size? Lego site claims it's approx 50 by 40cm, which I thought was a decent size considering how much lego can cost

      • +1

yea just under 50x40, but you have a thick border. Although it say 1800+ lego pieces, they all pretty much 1x1 blocks

  • This does look awesome

    • did you just comment that your own post is awesome, or did you mean the cat or cookie monster things haha??

      • Self gratification got everyone everywhere

  • I could add it to cart.

I love the “frequently bought together” a bunch of Lego boxes and paper towelling.
